Abstract

Indonesian agricultural products can be used as the leading commodity in the global competition, horticultural products especially such as fruits. The objectives of this resarch to know the characteristics of the consumer to purchase and consume the imported fruits, analyze the factors that affecting consumer behavior toward the demand of Fuji Apples and Mandarin Oranges in Johar Market. The sample area of research selected by purposive methods. The sample  respondents of research with accidental sampling. The area of research in Johar Market Semarang City, which provide product of Fuji Apples and Mandarin Oranges. The total sample of respondents were taken as many as 88 respondents, which were consisted of 44 respondents Fuji Apples and 44 respondents Mandarin Oranges. Consumer of Fuji Apples and Mandarin Oranges were aged 31 until 40 years old. The average income of the consumers of the Mandarin Oranges was Rp.2.193.182 and the average income of the consumers of Fuji Apples was Rp.2.531.818. The status of their profession is as a housewife with a high school education level. They have number of family members from 3 - 4 people. The factors that affecting the demand of Fuji Apples are age, income, price. Abstract

This study aims to determine the socio-economic characteristics and factors affecting farmer’s income level on PNPM Mandiri Pedesaan region in Tempel Sub Village Balerejo Village of Dempet District Demak Regency. Sampling method with a purposive sampling method. Consisted of 30 respondents of benefit recipients  and 30 respondents non benefit recipients. This research using multiple linier regression. The result showed that cooficient of determination 0.775. This value indicated that independent variables effect is 77.5 percent, while the remaining 22,5 percent is explained by other variables. Anova test showed the value of  64.413 with significance probability value of 0.000. Partial test showed the variables education and participation has a significance value of 0.000 and age variable has no significant influence. Abstract

Water refill is water that has through purification processes both Ultraviolet and ionization, by many stages of filtration to obtain clean water, in order to provide human needs.  This research performed by Athena,  et.al., (2003) to shows that Total Coli and Escherichia coli  in high-enough amounts inside water refill from water refill depot (DAMIU) in Jakarta, Tangerang, and Bekasi. There are many efforts related with this water refill that causes DAMIU developed rapidly, so that required monitoring improvement because water  is the primary needs of human being. This research aims to identify Escherichia coli  bacteria content that exist in drinking water of water refill from DAMIU in Rembang Sub district. This research is survey type, equipped with  microbiology  test using MPN method (Most Probable Number). The populations are 25 DAMIU in Rembang sub-district. Data analysis performed descriptively. Test, conducted by water refill sampling, which produced by DAMIU in Rembang sub-district. The testing includes: approximation test using  Lactosa Broth  (LB) medium, confirmation test using Briliant Green Lactose Bile Broth  (BGLB) medium, complementary test using Mc. Conkey medium and Gram painting was performed to identify bacteria types using microscope by 100 times magnification, and Biochemistry test that is IMVIC (Indol,  Methyl-Red,  Voges Proskauer, and Citrat).  In water  refill which produced by DAMIU in Rembang Sub  district, there is 1 sample (4%) with MPN value of E. coli 13/100 ml and Coliform MPN 21/100 ml, does not fulfill the bacteriology requirements of drinking water quality, according to Health Minister Decree No.907/MENKES/SK/VII/2002 :  ³The existence of E.Coli bacteria 0/100 ml sample´, while 24 samples has fulfill the requirements, with MPN value of E.Coli and Coliform < 2, so that it safe and ready to consume. Abstract

The research intends to know the profitability and Break Even Point implemented in the Perbalan Village, Gunungpati, Semarang. Research obtained by Damin Farm with cattle scale ≥ 12000 chickensin Perbalan Village, Gunungpati, Semarang. The method used in this research is survey method. The study took place from June to August 2016. Data collection consisted of primary and secondary data. The data used in the research is direct interview and observation. Primary data were obtained through direct interviews with respondent owners and labor farms based on the questionnaire. The results showed that the calculation of total variable costs with the scale of the amount of broiler chicken maintenance as much as 10.000 – 13.000 1st periode to 10th period is Rp. 2.996.584.152 and total production cost from 1st periode to 10th period is Rp 3.119.435.929 and the average profitability obtained at Damin Farm broiler farm is as much as 6,84%, while the average of BEP is 2749,068 kg.Keywords: Number of chickens, variable cost, production cost, profitability and Break Even Point

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of vitamin E in the diet on fertility of quail eggs. The material used in this study were male quail aged 60 days at 60 head, and quail females age 35 days 180 tails. Basic rations used is non-commercial rations prepared with crude protein content of 22.5 % and 2600 kcal.kg metabolizable energy ( E ). Ration treatment by adding a basic ration plus vitamin E 30 IU / kg ( E1 ), the basic ration plus vitamin E 40 IU / kg ( E2 ) and a base diet plus vitamin E 50 IU / kg ( E3 ). Rations and drinking water given adlibitum. Data taken include feed intake, egg production, egg weight, egg vitamin E and fertility. The data captured is analyzed using a variance Complete Design Patterns. Unidirectional and if there is a significant contrast between the test continued treatment . The results showed that the addition of vitamin E in the diet does not provide a significant difference on feed intake, egg production, egg weight and the effect but a significant increase ( P < 0.01 ) the increase in the amount of vitamin E in eggs and egg fertility enhancement. Abstract

Garlic (Allium sativum L) is a horticultural product that can easily be damaged if not handled properly. Damage that usually occurs in garlic includes softening of tubers, wrinkles, empty tubers, rot, sprouting, root growth and mold growth. Some of the familiar storage methods used by farmers include storage using pesticides and fumigation, while storage with ozone has only been introduced to farmers. Most of the farmers (84,44%) gave high perceptions of garlic storage technology using pesticides, 78.05% of farmers gave high perceptions of garlic storage technology with smoking and 60.25% of farmers gave moderate perceptions of garlic storage technology with ozone. In terms of ease of application, all farmers assessed storage with pesticides as easy to apply, storage with fumigation 96.77% of farmers considered it easy while the majority of farmers (63.33%) considered storage with ozone difficult to apply. This means that the majority of respondents are not too interested in using ozone technology for storing garlic. Ozone technology required a large investment to make closed storage without ventilation so ozone can work optimally, while now farmer's storage still simple and open. Abstract

Experiment was conducted to find out number of pollination activities and material of artificial pollination on Spring onion seed production. A Factorial Design Randomized Block with 5 replication was set up. The treatments consisted of two levels of number of pollination activities (two and three time per weeks) and two levels of pollination artificial material (soft brush and gun sprayer) and control. Five treatments including control were studied. Research results showed that 3 time per week number of pollination activities with gun sprayer material of artificial pollination significantly increased total yield of Spring onion seed to rainy season in highland.   Keywords: Number of pollination activities, pollination artificial, spring onion.

Surakarta Kacang sangrai agroindustry is industry which process peanut become kacang sangrai. Kacang sangrai agroindustry which is there in Klaten Tengah District  laboured in two scale, that is small industrial scale kacang sangrai agroindustry and  home industrial scale kacang sangrai agroindustry. Each scale give different profit This Script is done pursuant to research which have been done  with a purpose to study and compare advantage, profitability, efficiency, and risk of effort between small industrial scale kacang saragra agro ndustry and home industry scale kacang sangrai agroindustry. Basic method this research used descriptive. Research done in Klaten Tengah  District because Klaten Tengah District represent the single kacang sangrai producer  area in Klaten Regency. Intake Responder done by taking all kacang sangrai entrepreneur. Data collected by primary and secondary. As for data collecting technique with observation, interview, and record-keeping Result of Research indicate that profit per accepted raw material kuintal small industrial scale kacang sangrai agroindustry ( Rp. 88.693,- ) bigger than home  industry scale  (  Rp. 63.368,-).  Small industrial scale kacang sangrai agroindustry profitability ( 9,24 %) bigger than home industry scale kacang sangrai agroindustry profitability ( 6,48%). Both the effort scale profit because profitability bigger than 0. Efficiency of effort small industrial scale kacang sangrai agroindustry (RlC = 1,09) and home industry scale kacang sangrai agroindustry (R /C = 1,06) please express  that both the effort scale not yet is efficient. Small industrial scale kacang sangra Agroindustry ( KV = 0,09) and home industry scale ( KV = 0,26) indicating that both the effort scale have low risk. For result of this research, writer took conclusion that the profit, profitability, and efficiency small industrial scale kacang sangrai agroindustri bigger than home industry scale, while risk of effort small industri scale kacang sangrai agroindustri lower than home industry scale Suggestion which can be submitted in this research is Packaging done by contract labour and home industry scale sangrai bean entrepreneur cooperate with society in product marketing

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi dalam menentukan pendapatan dan kelayakan usahatani di dalam Kelompok Tani Tranggulasi Kecamatan Getasan Kabupaten Semarang. Metode dasar yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder yang didapat dari jurnal, artikel, data BPS serta data primer didapatkan dari wawancara dengan ketua Kelompok Tani Tranggulasi Kecamatan Getasan Kabupaten Semarang. Metode pengambilan sampel responden dengan metode sampling purposive. Jumlah responden sebanyak 9 responden. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan sekunder. Data primer adalah data yang diperoleh dengan wawancara langsung kepada petani dilokasi penelitian dan dipandu dengan daftar pernyataan (kuisioner) yang sudah dipersiapkan. Data sekunder adalah data yang diperoleh dengan mengambil dan mencari informasi dari daftar pustaka, internet penelitian terdahulu dan instansi yang terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rata-rata luas lahan pemilik usahatani tanaman kentang sebesar 1300m2 . Pendapatan rata-rata usahatani kentang sebesar Rp.8.774.259. Kelayakan rata-rata usahatani kentang di kelompok Tani Tranggulasi memiliki nilai R/C sebesar 2,2  yang dapat dinyatakan layak untuk dijalankan, yang dimana setiap Rp.1,00 mendapatkan keuntungan sebesar Rp.2,20 rupiah. Dari hasil penelitian ini, maka terdapat saran yang dapat diberikan kepada Kelompok Tani Tranggulasi yaitu, menerapkan strategi membuka peluang bagi para investor untuk meningkatkan modal dan tingkat produksi, agar Kelompok Tani Tranggulasi dapat meningkatkan modal usaha serta mendukung dalam mengembangkan operasional produksi dalam peningkatan produktivitas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proporsi tepung tapioka dengan kulit singkong dan penambahan daging ikan tuna yang sesuai dengan standar mutu kerupuk kulit singkong. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial 3x3 dengan 3 ulangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua faktor yang terdiri dari p faktor: proporsi tepung tapioka: kulit singkong (25%: 75%, 50%: 50%, 75%: 25%) dan penambahan q faktor: daging tuna (10%, 15%, 20% Pengamatan dilakukan berupa sifat kimia (kadar air, kadar protein dan HCN) dan sifat fisik (volume muai) dan sifat organoleptik (warna, rasa dan tekstur). Hasil uji laboratorium dan oragnoleptik pada sampel kerupuk kulit singkong menunjukkan nilai rata-rata kadar air sebesar 5,63%, kadar protein sebesar 23,01%, dan daya khamir sebesar 250%.Berdasarkan uji organoleptik diperoleh tingkat kesukaan konsumen yang paling baik adalah pada p3q2. Hal ini terlihat dari nilai produk tertinggi sebesar 1,0 dengan nilai rata-rata parameter warna, rasa dan tekstur terbaik sebesar 4,44, 4,40 dan 4,64.
