Abstract

Scholarships are funding that does not come from own funding or parents, but is provided by the government, educational institutions, private companies, universities, and schools that can provide opportunities to increase human resource capacity through education. To increase student interest in learning in the school environment by providing scholarships or assistance to students who are economically disadvantaged. The process of selecting scholarship recipients includes three variables, namely report cards, attendance, and student attitudes. Based on the variables above, the data will be processed to produce student decisions that deserve scholarships with a success rate of 88.88%. In order to produce fast and precise decisions and to avoid mistakes in selecting students, we need an appropriate method that can be used to assist decision makers in carrying out their duties. By using the right method, the school will be easier to make decisions. The method to overcome this problem is through the application of fuzzy logic with the Sugeno method.

Abstract

The regional coordinator of the Siantar sub-district is the education office in the Siantar sub-district. The office is used to store elementary school student data in the Siantar sub-district before it is submitted to the education office in Simalungun district. In collecting data on students in each school, employees sometimes find it difficult to filter out which students have the highest grades in each elementary school and determine who deserves assistance from the Simalungun Regency Government for those who excel. Therefore, the comparison of the AHP and TOPSIS methods in determining the scholarships for elementary school students at the Siantar District Regional Coordinator is to carry out a ranking of alternatives in the form of student data. The AHP and TOPSIS methods are compared because this method determines the weight value for each attribute, which is followed by ranking a number of available options and then re-selected to find the best choice.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find the rules of the model in measuring the level of students' understanding of the subject. During this pandemic, the learning process is carried out online, so it is difficult to measure students' ability to master the material. This measurement needs to be done so that the evaluation process can be carried out so that the ability of students in one group to achieve the target level of understanding. Currently, evaluation activities have never been carried out because they do not have a model so that evaluation can only be done by giving quizzes and exercises. This problem can be solved by using data mining algorithm C4.5. Attributes used as parameters for assessing student understanding of lessons such as Teaching Method (C1), Learning Media (C2), Communication (C3), Experience (C4), Teaching Materials/Modules/Assignments (C5), Learning Duration (C6). The six attributes are used to find the relationship between each other that influence each other to get the highest root so that a decision tree will be obtained that produces the rules of the relationship between each attribute in determining student understanding of the subject. This rule or rule will be used as the basis for making an information system so that it can be applied to end users, namely schools.

Abstract

SMP Negeri 1 Galang has activity in determining the best teacher, however, at SMP Negeri 1 Galang the determination of the best teacher still uses the manual method, namely by calculating on paper with a predetermined format. In this case, of course, it takes a long time, considering that there are many junior high school teachers, and also requires many criteria. This is what makes researchers want to conduct research in order to design a decision support system for determining the best teacher using the TOPSIS method at the 1st Galang Junior High School. The Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (Topsis) method is one method that is often used in determining a decision, therefore researchers use this method in making a system. With the existence of a decision support system, it can help the school in determining the best teacher, so that the determination of the best teacher can be done accurately and quickly
