Abstract

Halal beauty products have now begun to attract the attention of the Muslim community in Indonesia, but it does not necessarily show that consumers of halal beauty products prioritize halal products, because there are other factors that can affect purchasing decisions. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of product quality, halal label, and product price on the purchase decision of halal beauty products, which then based on these results, an evaluation of the level of awareness and concern of female students for halal is carried out. The data was collected by distributing questionnaires to students of University X. The respondents who filled out this research questionnaire were active students of University X who had bought halal beauty products of any brand. This research method is SEM-PLS analysis to predict the influence between independent variables on dependent variables, as well as descriptive analysis to determine the level of awareness and concern of female students for halal. The result of this study is that the three variables each have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. Based on the results of the SEM-PLS pathway coefficient test, it is known that product quality has a greater influence than the halal factor (halal label) when female students decide to buy halal beauty products. Therefore, a further evaluation of the level of halal awareness and concern is carried out by conducting a descriptive analysis on each item of halal label indicators. Through this analysis, the results were obtained that 62.5% of the eight halal label indicator items were in the range of positive categories which showed that the level of halal awareness and concern of female students was high.

Abstract

The high level of fluctuating demand for products that consumers want, makes companies need to have a demand estimation or forecasting tool. PT. Satria Abadi is a manufacturing company engaged in the leather tanning process. Leather processed by PT. Adi Satria Abadi consists of two types of leather, namely goat skin (Goat Cabretta and Goat Batting) and sheep skin (Sheep Cabretta and Sheep Batting). In the tanning process, PT. Adi Satria Abadi sometimes encounters several obstacles, one of which is insufficient raw materials. This is because there has not been an estimate of the need for raw materials for the production process to fulfil demand. To deal with these obstacles, it is necessary to estimate the need for raw materials for the type of Sheep Cabretta Leather and Sheep Batting Leather so that there is no shortage of raw materials that can hinder the leather tanning production process. Based on the pattern of demand for raw materials, Sheep Cabretta Leather and Sheep Batting Leather are included in a random or fluctuating demand pattern. Therefore, the method used to predict the need for raw materials is Single Exponential Smoothing with 0.1 to 0.9. From the results of the calculation of forecasting accuracy, it was found that the smallest MSE value lies in the results of forecasting with the Single Exponential Smoothing method with an alpha value of 0.7 of 44560919259, while in sheep Batting Leather, it also lies in the Single Exponential Smoothing forecasting with an alpha of 0.7 with an MSE value amounting to 31462955201. Therefore, the need for raw materials for the type of Sheep Caretta Leather for June based on forecasting calculations using the Single Exponential Smoothing method with an alpha value of 0.7 is 964,878.62 SF, while for the need for raw materials for the type of Sheep Batting Leather is 989,018.39 SF.

Abstract

The oven machine is one of the important components of the production process in the bakery company. CV Halalan Thoyiban is a bakery company engaged in the manufacture of various breads. The products of this company are various bread such as Bakpia Green Bean and Bakpia Green Coconut. The problem that occurs in the company is the low efficiency of bakpia bread production, caused by the large number of machine breakdowns so that the optimal level of machine productivity is not achieved. The production machine, especially the oven machine often breaks down and causes the production process to stop. Based on these problems, in this study, an analysis of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) was carried out using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method to measure the effectiveness of the machine. Further analysis of the cause-and-effect diagram is conducted to propose the improvement recommendation. The results of the analysis show the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) for the oven machine obtained an average of 38.1%, where the activity measured at the availability index is 59.72%, the performance index is 68.90% and the quality ratio is 93.30%. The OEE value is low and does not meet the World Class standard. The main causes are large breakdowns and long maintenance processes. The first improvement recommendation is applying preventive maintenance based on the planned maintenance schedule. The second recommendation is providing a training to operators about machine operation and maintenance. And the last is providing a simple installation for gas cylinder to avoid the long changing time to maximize performance of the oven machine.

Abstract

Langgeng Jaya is a retail business engaged in the sale of construction materials and building tools. TB. Langgeng Jaya has erratic demand historical data. So the problem arises how much inventory is needed. Building materials in TB. Langgeng Jaya is obtained from quite a lot of distributors or suppliers with different lead times for each company. Inefficient management results in problems in product inventory such as out of stock and excess stock of building materials being sold. To overcome this problem, the method used in this research is Always Better Control (ABC) and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) analysis. The ABC method is used to classify a large number of product types into three groups, namely group A, group B, and group C. In this approach it results that those included in group A are 30 types of products with a monetary value percentage of 77.46%. group B there are 31 types of products with a monetary value of 12.57%, while for group C there are 89 types of products with a monetary value of 9.97%. Group A has a higher cumulative price percentage value than groups B and C which will later become the focus for further processing using the EOQ method. By using the EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) multi-item multi-supplier and single item single-supplier policies, this can reduce the costs incurred from ordering goods from suppliers. The results of the EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) method approach, namely the difference in costs incurred by the average company, are Rp. 1,192,537.
