Abstract

Pembangunan sistem pertanian terpadu telah dilakukan di salah satu lahan pekarangan warga Desa Sei Semayang Kecamatan Sunggal Kabupaten Deli Serdang Sumatera Utara. Di lahan seluas ± 1022 m2 terdapat pohon hutan berupa kombinasi mahoni, dan jati (berumur 11 tahun), serta trembesi, damar, jelutung dan ketapang (berumur 3 tahun), di lahan selanya dipelihara ternak kambing, ikan (kolam tanah untuk ikan lele, nila, patin, dan gurami), unggas (itik dan ayam), serta sebagian lahan ditanami tanaman pertanian (sayuran terong, cabai, rimbang, ubi kayu, dan lain-lain) dengan sistem surjan dan pot yang secara intensif dilakukan sejak Januari 2012 hingga kini. Dari pohon hutan telah dipanen 3 batang pohon mahoni untuk pembuatan kusen pintu dan jendela. Dari kolam telah dipanen ikan lele dumbo dan dari 10 ekor ternak kambing telah berkembang menjadi 14 ekor dalam 1 tahun. Dari 15 ekor induk itik dan ayam dapat dipanen rata-rata 5 butir telur per hari. Dengan demikian, sistem ini telah memberi manfaat tambahan kesejahteraan ekonomi keluarga dan perbaikan ekologi (kesejukan dan peningkatan biodiversitas) di lahan pekarangan. Pengelola sistem pertanian terpadu ini adalah Komunitas Pemuda Peduli Lingkungan (KOPPLING) Pondok Miri Desa Sei Semayang.

Abstract

Paradigma baru pertanian terpadu harus memberdayakan segenap multi-fungsi pertanian terpadu sebagai pemasok utama sandang, pangan, dan papan bagi kehidupan seluruh makluk hidup; juga sebagai gatra lingkungan hidup yang berkelanjutan, penyedia keindahan lingkungan (wisata-agro), penghasil bio-farmaka dan penghasil bio-energi.Gerakan “Jihad Kedaulatan Pangan” (JKP) dalam menumbuh kembangkan kecintaan dalam memproduksi sendiri dan menggunakan produk pangan unggulan lokal secara sungguh-sungguh, tanpa bergantung pada pangan impor lagi. Gerakan ini harus didukung secara sinergi, utuh, terpadu dann yata oleh seluruh pemangku kepentingan agar membentuk jaringan antar ABCG (Academic / akademisi, Business / pedagang swasta, Community / masyarakat, Government / pemerintah) yang erat dan nyata. Kedaulatan Pangan dapat digapai dengan mengaplikasikan konsep Pertanian Terpadu melalui strategi 5A (Agro-produksi, Agri-bisnis, Agro-industry, Agro-teknologi, Agro-wisata) yang memberdayakan seluruh potensi sumber daya alam, air, hayati, lingkungan, SDM dan manajemen secara menyeluruh, terpadu, utuh dan saling sinergis.Konsep ini harus terpadu dari hulu ke hilir untuk masing-masing komoditas unggulan utama sehingga mempunyai nilai tambah di bidang ekonomi, pelestarian lingkungan, sosial dan budaya secara sinergis.Indonesia mempunyai kemampuan, kemauan dan kesempatan untuk mencapai Kedaulatan Pangan, namun komitmen politik dan ekonomi harus dirorong lagi. Dengan perbaikan peraturan, kepemimpinan, pelaksanaan, SDM, teknologi, sinergisme, dan manajemen di seluruh lini 5A ini, maka diharapkan dapat memperbaiki kelemahan utama komoditas pertanian agar mampu memenuhi standart 3K (kuantitas, kualitas dan kontinyuitas) serta bersertifikat halalal thoyiban.Peran pers dan edu-tainment sangat penting untuk meningkatkan image building, kepercayaan, komitmen dan peran nyata seluruh stake holder untuk mendukung program unggulan mendukung Jihad Kedaulatan Pangan.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan termasuk di Kota Padang relatif masih terbatas, sehingga pengembangan berbagai inovasi yang terkait dengan lahan pekarangan belum banyak berkembang. Untuk menentukan profil pertanian lahan pekarangan ditinjau dari aspek budidaya di Kota Padang maka selama bulan Januari 2013 telah dilakukan studi Pemahaman Pedesaan dalam Waktu Singkat (Rapid Rural Appraisal/RRA). Hasil studi menunjukan bahwa ibu rumah tangga yang melaksanakan usahatani lahan pekarangan terdiri dari berbagai golongan umur dan tingkat pendidikan. Di wilayah berpenduduk cukup padat latar belakang pekerjaan mereka adalah PNS, pegawai swasta dan buruh sedangkan di wilayah berpenduduk agak jarang adalah petani. Lahan pekarangan di wilayah berpenduduk cukup padat berkisar dari 20 m2 (sangat sempit) hingga 100 m2 (sedang). Selanjutnya pada wilayah berpenduduk agak jarang > 170 m2 (luas). Komoditas pertanian yang banyak dijumpai pada wilayah berpenduduk cukup padat antara lain: Cabe Merah, Cabe Rawit, Saledri, Keladi, Mangga, Jeruk Nipis, Jambu, Pepaya, Kunyit, Pandan, Ruku-ruku, dan ayam buras. Sedangkan di wilayah berpenduduk agak jarang dijumpai komoditas, seperti Ubi Kayu, Ubi Jalar, Talas, Rimbang, Cabe Merah, Cabe Rawit, Keladi, Mangga, Jeruk, Jambu Biji, Pepaya, Pisang, Kunyit, Sereh, Ruku-ruku, Kelapa, Pinang, Kakao dan ayam buras. Budidaya pada lahan pekarangan umumnya masih dilakukan secara tradisional sehingga hasilnya belum optimal.

Abstract

Uji Adaptasi Varietas Unggul Baru Padi Sawah Berbasis Pendekatan Pengelolaan Tanaman Terpadu di Dataran Tinggi Tapanuli Utara Sumatera Utara telah dilaksanakan di Desa Hutanagodang, Kecamatan Muara, Kabupaten Tapanuli Utara dengan ketinggian 943-950 m dpl pada bulan Juni sampai Oktober 2012. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penampilan dan produktivitas VUB padi sawah, sehingga diperoleh 1-2 varietas unggul baru produksi tinggi (≥ 7 t/ha) dan adaptif pada lingkungan spesifik untuk dikembangkan. Percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan lima kali ulangan. Perlakuan menggunakan enam varietas padi sawah, yang terdiri dari Inpari 3, Inpari 10, Inpari 13, Sarinah, Aek Sibundong dan varietas eksisting Ciherang. Teknologi yang diterapkan adalah komponen dasar dan pilihan yang terdapat dalam model Pengelolaan Tanaman Terpadu (PTT) padi sawah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Varietas Inpari 3, Inpari 10, Inpari 13, Sarinah, dan Aek Sibundong merupakan varietas unggul baru padi sawah yang adaptif pada lingkungan spesifik dan memberikan hasil berturut-turut 8,4; 8,0; 7,9; 7,5; dan 7 t GKP/ha atau meningkat 37,7; 31,1; 29,5; 22,9 dan 14,7% di atas varietas eksisting Ciherang (6,1 t GKP/ha) sehingga dapat dikembangkan di sekitar wilayah Kabupaten Tapanuli Utara.

Abstract

Study to evaluate the effect of the depth of water table in peatlands of the PB260 rubber girthimmature plants (age 2-3 years) and chemical properties of peat soil has been carried out inMeranti Estate RAPP Kampar Estuary Pangkalan Kerinci District of Riau in December 2013.Research used descriptive method with measuring water table depth in selected plots with girthmeasurements of planting rubber trees planted in 2010 and 2011. At two sample plots (representingthe shallowest water level and water level deep) dug each soil profile to the investigation anddecision soil samples. Soil samples were analyzed at the Laboratory of BPTP North Sumatra. Theresults showed that the water table in peatlands deeper, reaching 88.6 cm girth will decrease thegrowth of young rubber trees. Rubber immature plants age 2 years who has the best girth growth inground water at a depth of 29.6 cm deep and 3 years old trunk circumference rubber girth bestgrowth at 65.3 cm water table. Water table is within reach mean 88.6 cm cause fasterdecomposition of peat soil is characterized by C/N ratio of lower and lower quality (fertility) peatsoils with lower ash content, K-exchangeable, Mg-exchangeable, P-available and P-total.

Abstract

The research was done at a natural tropical forest of PT Inhutani II, East Kalimantan. The objectivesof the research were to study the carbon (C) stock in the natural tropical forest after conventional andreduced impact logging (RIL) and to get the effectivity of RIL based on carbon stock, financial andenvironmental aspects. The effect of conventional and RIL on the environment and carbon stock in theplots was studied using the data of three plots with each size 100 m x 100 m. The plots are placedbased on purposive sampling at landing, main skid trail, and branch skid trails, respectively. Cstocks are counted by allometric equations and C economics by the economic acceptance of REDD.Economic value of RIL was IDR 1,604,518,900,- ha-1. Based on financial analysis showed that RILwas feasible and profitable at a rate of interest 16 %.

Abstract

Quantifying oil palm plantation contribution to global carbon budgets is needed. Biomass variation of oilpalm plantation practices through allometric models that can be used to asses oil palm plantation. Theobjectives of this research were to find the biomass variation of oil palm plantation in Langkat, NorthSumatera. The research was done in two steps. Firstly, data collecting was at oil palm plantation. The secondstep was analyzed biomass in a laboratory. Measurement of parameters is done by 9 (nine) permanentsample plots (PCP) with line block method in 5 years, 10 years and 15 years. The size of the plots was 20 m x 20m (400 m2) that distance to another plot was 10 m x 10 m (100 m2) used random sampling. This researchfound that the models of biomass in oil palm plantation was W = 0.00597D1.000Hbp1.142.

Abstract

Evaluation of agricultural programs is necessary to determine the level of success of an agriculturalprogram. The objective is to evaluate the research in the integrated farming program implemented infive villages in the District of Pulau Sebuku and to create a better and sustainable alternative model ofthe integrated farming application. The evaluation uses a multicriteria analysis method to make thecriteria and indicators of integrated farming principles. It can be concluded that not all of thecriteria can be accepted. Out of 10 criteria, one criterion namely environmental goals can beaccepted (with score ≥ 3) in the five villages. Two criteria namely the economic purpose and landmanagement can be accepted in four villages. The next two criteria namely social objectives andmarketing support can be accepted in two villages. Two other criteria, namely waste managementand climate/weather management can only be accepted by one village. Three criteria have notbeen acceptable to all villages, namely crop management, cattle management, and institutionalmanagement. The analysis indicates a lack of institutional function, knowledge, and technology inintegrated farming among community. Efforts to improve the program by establishing agriculturalinstitutions, human resource development as well as ease of access to saprodi and marketingfacilities. The involvement of all parties including the community, the government, the private sectorand NGOs is needed to achieve the expected success of integrated farming.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to obtain a genotype of selected putative mutant withgood agronomic traits and high yielding on the optimum condition and its adaptability todrought stress in M3 generation. The study result showed that there were differences in thegrowth and production of each population as a result of irradiation in optimum conditions anddrought stress conditions. The population as a result of irradiation at 150 Gy and 200 Gy had a highermean value for the plant height trait, the number of productive branches, the number of productivenodes and the number of productive pods compared to irradiation population of 50 Gy, 100 Gy andthe control population of Argomulyo at optimum conditions. The decrease in the growth anddevelopment happened to all the characters observed in the irradiation population in droughtconditions compared to when grown in optimum conditions. The decrease can be seen in thecharacters of plant height, the number of pods and seed weight per plant. The growth and developmentof the population irradiation of 150 Gy and 200 Gy were more influenced by drought conditionscompared to other irradiation populations. The selection in the optimum conditions produced 291high yielding genotypes and the selection in drought conditions generated 202 genotypes andadapted to drought environments.
