Lamahu: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Terintegrasi (Lamahu, P-ISSN: 2828-6839, E-ISSN: 2828-6677) is a peer-reviewed journal published by Department of Earth Science and Technology, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Lamahu provides open access to the principle that research published in this journal is freely available to the public to support the exchange of knowledge globally. Lamahu published two-issue articles per year namely February and August. Lamahu provides a place for academics, researchers, and practitioners to publish scientific articles. Each text sent to Lamahu editor is reviewed by peer review. Starting from Vol. 1 No. 1 (February 2022), all manuscripts sent to the Lamahu editor are accepted in Bahasa Indonesia or English. Abstract

Understanding the concept of community resilience is important, as an effort to increase public sensitivity to the impacts caused by disasters. In this aspect, local communities, especially young people, can increase their adaptive capacity, become more resilient, and take a bigger role in achieving local prosperity. The program aims to address the gaps in the concept of disaster for local communities, which focuses on increasing community understanding and capacity so that communities can voluntarily undertake adaptation and mitigation measures. Community forums are an important component in achieving the target of this program. Community forums formed include PRB  and TSBM forums. The presence of community forums is a pillar in building and increasing community resilience. This requires adequate support so that the forum as a local organization can make a real contribution. The sustainability of the disaster management training program still needs to be developed, in collaboration with community organizations to ensure resilience capacity is maintained. The implementation of this program can provide a stimulus to local governments and the community about the importance of understanding the concept of disaster to the community, in order to create a sense of responsibility and empathy within the local community.

Abstract

Economic growth and improvement the quality of life of good rural communities require the availability of adequate infrastructure and social public facilities. Infrastructure development in the village requires good planning, according to the needs of the community and according to the characteristics of each village. The results of field observations in Raku Village showed several findings, namely infrastructure and social public facilities were inadequate, there was no infrastructure distribution map, and the existing maps were not up to date. Mapping of public and social facilities in Raku Village, North Tabukan District, Sangihe Archipelago Regency, North Sulawesi Province is part of the community service activities of the Universitas Negeri Gorontalo Collaborative Real Work Lecture. The mapping of public and social facilities aims to map social public facilities, determine the distribution of public and social facilities, and provide spatial data as a basis for policy making by the government. Mapping of village public and social facilities which are part of this community service activity uses the integration method of field surveys and spatial data analysis. Data collection on the location of public and social facilities was carried out using an Android-based GPS, while information on public and social facilities was collected through interviews with residents. Processing and analysis of field survey data, both spatial data and attribute data, was carried out using the Geographic Information System software application, namely ArcGIS 10.8. The results of the primary data survey on public and social facilities and analysis of spatial data show that the public and social facilities in Raku Village are divided into educational facilities, religious facilities, health facilities, government offices, and other social facilities.

Abstract

The introduction of additives and addictive substances for the younger generation, especially the millennial generation, is very important because children's habits, especially when they are teenagers, do snack activities at school and the surrounding environment without having a selective attitude for the sake of health. The habit of snacking and the lack of knowledge and understanding of healthy snacks and the content of foods that are harmful to health make students not have a selective attitude in consuming snacks in the school environment. Additives contained in food, if excessive can have a negative effect on health. Likewise with addictive substances if misused it will cause negative effects for the body. The purpose of this service activity is to introduce additives and addictive substances that are harmful to health for students aged children and adolescents so that they are able to prevent disease, create a selective attitude in consuming food for the sake of health and save our children from abuse of harmful addictive substances. . The method used in this service activity is the lecture method with a participatory approach through 4 stages of activity, namely, opening, giving material, question and answer/discussion and closing. The socialization activity went well, this could be seen from the enthusiasm of the participants in participating in the socialization activity from beginning to end and actively asking questions and discussing. Learners know the types of additives and addictive substances that are harmful to health and know how to prevent abuse of dangerous addictive substances. In addition, it also adds insight and knowledge to participants about additives and addictive substances that are harmful to health so that students have a selective attitude in snacking activities and consuming food and drinks in the school environment and its surroundings.

Abstract

The success of the learning process is the responsibility of all parties in the world of education. All roles must be executed properly. The achievement of learning objectives is an indicator of the achievement of all processes carried out during learning. The function of the learning media essentially has a significant impact on learning. Because the learning media will give an impression in the process of interaction between teachers and students and the learning environment. the use of a photography essay will provide a more concrete explanation of the object through a photo, and of course it can be well received. The method used in this service is participatory dissemination. Involve participants directly in the form of mentoring. The service was carried out well, the results of the pres test showed 9 students, 4 people in the sufficient category and 3 people in the good category. And the post test showed a very significant change, namely 16 people in the good category.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has a high level of disaster risk. Community preparedness efforts, especially for children, are still lacking, marked by the number of victims of natural disasters which is still very high, with this effort increasing knowledge about disaster mitigation is still very important for the community. This service aims to increase public knowledge, especially students, about disaster mitigation efforts, through outreach activities in several schools. The results of the service show that the level of student knowledge about disaster mitigation is still very lacking and needs to be improved. It is hoped that further actions such as maintenance and supervision as control with the aim of these activities have optimal results to increase students' knowledge about disaster mitigation and the realization of disaster resilient schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to teach and introduce English vocabulary through the drilling method so that it can improve the ability to memorize English vocabulary. The method of community service used is a demo. In carrying out this activity, teaching English vocabulary is carried out using the drilling or retreat method. There are several stages carried out, namely: scheduling the teaching of foreign language vocabulary, presenting English vocabulary material, introducing and using English vocabulary around, inviting children to interpret or define each new vocabulary taught, repeating English vocabulary material, and conducting tests to assess the level of achievement in learning English vocabulary using the drilling method. So that children can master vocabulary easily, fun learning is needed so that children are interested in memorizing English vocabulary. In its use, children must also be able to manage time well by using various drilling methods so that children do not feel bored quickly, enthusiastically, and enthusiastically learning English. Here, the task of educators is to determine and use appropriate English teaching techniques applied to children.

Abstract

This extension activities is one of the important stages of community service activities as part of the implementation of Tridharma Perguruan tinggi. Community service activities are organized in cooperation with the community, especially to the community, and the device Nagari Sungai Janiah. With the use of an individual approach and the classical style that was used at the time of the provision of material and theory about the training of disaster mitigation of volcanic eruption and other disasters to be continued eruption of the volcano. The methods applied in the form of lectures (submission of materials by the speaker directly) varies. Abstract

Face-to-face learning implemented by the government raises parents concerns because theCovid-19 pandemic isn't over yet. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase awareness of health and improve health protocol discipline for Covid-19 prevention inLonuo Village, Tilongkabila Sub District, Bone Bolango Regency. The target of this program is elementary school and kindergarten students. The methods used in this community service program are socialization of the Covid-19 disease,health protocol discipline, distribution of masks, hand sanitizers, and leaflets, practicing good and correct hand washing, and coloring pictures by kindergarten and preschool students. The number of participants in this community service is 80 students in Lonuo Village, Tilongkabila Sub District, Bone Bolango Regency. The implementation of this program raised a positive response from teachers, students and the student’s parents. They need information about COVID-19 and life patterns during the pandemic. This program is expected to reduce parental concerns in re-implementing face-to-face learning. This program is expected to provide benefits for schools in increasing student obedience to comply health protocols.

Abstract

There are still many people, especially teenagers who have not realized the importance of having financial management in their personal lives. Now is the right moment for students to start learning to invest. Al-Ihsan Vocational High School West Jakarta is one of the Vocational Schools in the City of Jakarta. As one of the vocational high schools in the city of Jakarta, Al-Ihsan Jakarta Vocational School has the same role as other vocational schools, namely to prepare students to be competent in the chosen field of study. Almost all students at the Al-Ihsan Vocational School in West Jakarta do not understand comprehensively about financial investment, especially mutual fund investment through online. This is what encourages the provision of financial investment education and training. The training is carried out in community service activities in the form of education and training. Financial investment education and training can provide benefits for Al-Ihsan Vocational School students in increasing knowledge and understanding in investing, especially as novice investors with limited funds. Overall, the trainees understood the material presented and were able to try out mutual fund investment applications. The atmosphere of the activity was very conducive and participants were actively discussing. Participants stated that they were very satisfied with the activities held and hoped that similar activities would be held again with different themes.

Abstract

Perceptions of ustadz/ustadzah in Islamic boarding schools tend to have a spiritual level and form good character. However, this stigma can cause feelings of being required to always be wise, precise in managing problems that have an impact on psychological well-being. The purpose of this community service activity was to provide hard and soft skills in the form of applying adaptive coping mechanism patterns in dealing with problems. The method used training that includes psycho education awareness, habituation and practice. The results showed that there was an increase in knowledge and a significant positive effect on the ability to choose adaptive coping with partners. Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that the ability to choose adaptive coping mechanisms is the right and effective way to deal with problems and can improve psychological well-being.
