Abstract

This paper intends to describe the duties and functions of educators and education management which are one part of the eight national education standards. This study uses a qualitative research method of literature study (library research). The results of this study indicate that the duties and management functions of educators and education personnel are carried out based on statutory regulations with the aim of improving the quality of national education, developing science, technology and arts, as well as serving the community. The implementation of duties and functions of educators and education management consists of six components, namely: (a) planning, (b) recruitment, (c) job placement, (d) compensation, (e) coaching and development, (f) evaluating. Management functions and duties have implications for schools in dealing with shortages of educators and education personnel through recruitment. Coaching and development is also carried out through individual learning, training and advanced education, both by working groups of teachers, schools, and the education office.

Abstract

The results of this research show that the comprehension of the Catholics at the Church-station of St. Yosef Kampung Baru about the liturgical music is a comprehension of relating aspects of faith, ritual and mood. Faith is the base of and aim for the rituals and mood orientation. Faith reveals the mistery of Christ in the forms of prayers, hymns of praise, expressions of gratitude, and divine words. Rituals are forms of and means for presenting and experiencing faith. Rituals are purposively structured in such a way that the faith on God is expressively revealed in the rituals. Mood is the psychological condition enabling faith to be experienced and conceived in the rituals. Mood orientation could create the liturgy to be more lively, exalted and solemn through the liturgical music accompanying the activities and the services. Expression of faith needs the rituals as forms of and means for presenting the faith. Faith needs mood orientation as the psychological condition for experiencing faith. Rituals also need mood orientation as psychological condition which enables the rituals to be religious rituals expressing the faith. The rituals need faith as the base of and aim for the rituals. Mood orientation on the other hand needs the rituals as means for its realization. Mood orientation also needs faith as its aim which gives identities to the mood created. Therefore, the comprehension of the Catholics at the Church-station of St. Yosef Kampung Baru about the liturgical music is a comprehension of the aspects of faith, ritual and mood which are related to each other and mutually needed.

Abstract

Penelitian ini melaporkan studi kualitatif pembelajaran agama Katolik berbasis online pada masa pandemi COVID-19 di Provinsi Kalimantan Timur, Indonesia. Kajian tentang pembelajaran online sebenarnya sudah banyak dilakukan, namun khususnya pada pembelajaran agama Katolik, tampaknya masih jarang. Perkembangan hasil penelitian ini diperoleh dari wawancara dengan guru agama Katolik tentang pola pembelajaran di sekolahnya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pendekatan kualitatif untuk memungkinkan pengumpulan data deskriptif yang substansial menjadi dasar perancangan kerangka konseptual. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa guru telah melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan baik, dengan strategi mengintegrasikan pembelajaran dan dukungan yaitu sekolah, guru, dan orang tua. Guru menerapkan pengalaman belajar dan menggunakan teknologi sebagai media pembelajaran yang mendukung proses pembelajaran agama Katolik bagi siswa selama masa pandemi COVID-19. Melalui integrasi ini, siswa dapat mencapai pengalaman moral dan spiritual Katolik yang esensial. Siswa memperoleh pengalaman positif dan bermakna tentang kehidupan keluarga, terutama melalui pengalaman belajar bersama orang tua atau walinya.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the practice of devotion to St. Marry at Santa Maria Maluhu Station, Paroki St. Pius X Tenggarong, what devotional practices to Our Lady have been done by the people in Santa Maria Maluhu Station and how to implement it. This research was conducted at St. Maria Maluhu Parish of Santo Pius X Tenggarong by using qualitative descriptive methods and data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, documentation and document studies. The informants in this study were the head of the Leader community, the liturgical division, the people, and the head of the Neighborhood Association. Popular piety of the people through Devotion to the Virgin Mary carried out by Catholics at the Santa Maria Maluhu Station, namely the Hail Mary Prayer, Pilgrimage to the Cave of Mary, Imitating the Virgin Mary through social example, the Rosary Prayer, and the Novena Prayer. The results of research on devotion to the Virgin Mary that have been carried out by Catholics at the Santa Maria Maluhu station in its implementation in accordance with the recommendations of the Catholic Church, this is proven because there is no practice of extremism and minimalism at the Santa Maria Maluhu

Abstract

This study aims to determine the involvement of the Catholic Church in supporting religious moderation oriented towards national commitment in Indonesia. This study uses a literature research approach by reviewing books, literature, notes, and various reports related to religious moderation. Through this research, it can be concluded that: first, the involvement of the Catholic Church in supporting religious moderation oriented towards national commitment is contained in the statement of the magisterium of the Catholic Church. Second, statements reflecting religious moderation are found in the Church's Magisterium documents, namely: Gaudium et Spes, Pacem in Terris, Dignitatis Humanae, Nostra Aetate, KWI Pastoral Notes, and Pastor's Letters. Third, religious moderation by the Catholic Church has produced moderate figures with the spirit of nationalism in realizing Indonesia's national commitment. Fourth, the concrete involvement of the teachings of the Catholic Church is reflected in the attitude and real action of caring in providing assistance to the community regardless of differences and respect for religious people who celebrate religious holidays through friendship visits.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the concept or view of religious moderation that is accommodative to local culture. In addition, to describe the implementation of local wisdom of Dayak Bahau Bateq which can be used as a reference to develop the practice of religious moderation. This study uses a qualitative approach with the method of observation, literature study and interviews for data collection. Practicing religious moderation that is accommodative to local culture is actually an effort to maintain inter-religious harmony so that the living conditions of the nation and society are always peaceful and tolerant. The practice of religious moderation is always correlated with culture, especially because everything in society is determined by the culture that is owned by the community. Local wisdom is manifested in local knowledge, local intelligence and local symbols. The local wisdom of the Dayak Bahau Bateq can be used as a reference for orientation to develop religious moderation which is currently experiencing various threats. The practice of religious moderation, which is accommodative to culture, always has a correlation with the practice of local wisdom.

Abstract

This study aims to study the views of the Catholic Church on anti-violence education and find forms of anti-violence education. This study uses a literature review approach to collect data from various journal articles, books, documents and various sources related to anti-violence education. The collected data was then analyzed descriptively. The results of the study show that the Catholic Church's view of violence is a form of moral crime and an act that does not respect the human person. Therefore, the Catholic Church firmly rejects acts of violence against humans in any form. Forms of anti-violence education that can be carried out in schools, families, and the general public are such as conducting socialization about the dangers of bullying behaviour, providing religious education to improve the moral quality of students, active non-violent movement activities. The existing anti-violence education is a concrete manifestation of the role of the Catholic Church in calling for the importance of anti-violence education. It is also intended to create a harmonious relationship with others.

Abstract

This study tested the Jigsaw cooperative learning model on students and whether or not there was an increase in student activity and learning outcomes. Jigsaw cooperative learning is a learning model that focuses on expert group and home group discussions. The problem posed is the subject matter of Catholic Religion and Morals. This research is a classroom action research, consisting of two cycles focused on increasing student activity and learning outcomes. The results of this study indicate that the application of the Jigsaw-type cooperative learning model can effectively increase student activity and learning outcomes based on each indicator in the first and second cycles. The visual activity indicator has increased by 10%; oral activity indicator increased by 10%; the indicator of listening activity increased by 13.9%; the indicator of writing activity increased by 8.6%; indicators of mental activity increased by 17%, and indicators of emotional activity increased by 18.6%. Overall, the average score of an increase in the learning activity is 12.8% and learning outcomes are 1%.

Abstract

Fokus penulis dalam makalah ini adalah menjelaskan metode naratif-eksperiensial dan metode dialog-partisipatif dalam pengajaran agama Katolik. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah untuk menemukan metode pengajaran yang tepat dalam pengajaran agama Katolik di sekolah menengah agar materi yang diberikan menyentuh permasalahan dan pergumulan hidup siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini adalah deskriptif analisis. Penulis akan menjelaskan apa itu metode naratif-eksperiensial dan metode dialog partisipatif dalam pengajaran agama Katolik dan kemudian bagaimana menerapkannya.

Abstract

Literacy education is important for students, from kindergarten to college. Even when a person has completed formal education and continues to work, knowledge about matters related to the field of work and its scope still needs to be deepened. This is what is meant by literacy education broadly. In a narrow sense, literacy means the ability to read, write and speak, both at the level of knowledge and up to the level of expertise. Thus, the scope of information literacy covers aspects of human life, on how to get information, how to use tools, and how to process what is found and known in a written work or real work.
