Abstract

The Mulawarman Teritip – Gunung Tembak Balikpapan road is the main road connecting the city of Balikpapan and the district of Samboja and Sanga-Sanga. The purpose of this study was to determine the type and value based on the amount of road damage that occurred, so research was carried out in the form of an assessment to determine the level of road damage, before finally obtaining the cause and treatment that was suitable for the road segment. Observations on the Mulawarman Teritip – Gunung Tembak STA 15+250 to 18+550, aimed to research road conditions using the method of Pavement Condition Index (PCI). Analysis of the data obtained include: Survey data, Quantity (Quantity), Density (Density), Graph Deduct Value (DV), Total Deduct Value (TDV), Correct Deduct Value (CDV), Pavement Condition Index (PCI), and Repair Method. PCI value at Mulawarman Teritip – Gunung Tembak road obtained from the calculation is 74.5 in the category of Satisfactory, and the method of repair is done is road maintenance on a regular basis to improve quality and preserve the value of PCI.

Abstract

Galvanized wire and iron lathe are alternative fiber types in fiber concrete mixes. Galvanized wire has flexural properties, no corrosion it is relatively inexpensive, while iron lathe waste is known to increase the flexural strength of beams. The study uses 5 cm long galvanized wire with 2% cement by weight and uses iron lathe waste. The purpose of this study is to obtain the value of the flexural strength of the beam.The test specimens used were 12 samples with a variation of 3 pieces each, with the code for normal concrete specimens (NA-NB-NC), 2% galvanized fiber concrete (2A-2B-2C), galvanized fiber concrete with iron lathe variation 10% (10A-10B-10C), galvanized fiber concrete with iron lathe variation 14% (14A-14B-14C). The test was carried out when the concrete was 28 days old with a plan of 22.5 MPa concrete quality.The test results are the average value of the flexural strength of normal concrete is 0.900 MPa, the flexural strength of galvanized fiber concrete is 0.975 MPa, the flexural strength of galvanized fiber concrete with the addition of waste iron lathe with a variation of 10% is 1.425 MPa, variations 14% is 1,125 MPa. The highest percentage of flexural strength increase ratio for normal concrete is 10% variation of 58.333% and for galvanized fiber concrete is 10% variation of 46.154%.

Abstract

Occupational health and safety is one important aspect in a company so that the company can minimize a work accident, where in case of a work accident then it can hamper the productivity of employees. The purpose of this study is to determine the application of occupational safety and health on the productivity of employees and how the influence of which is given of the application. This research method using quantitative analysis with the data analysis technique used is the analysis of descriptive statistics. In the analysis descriptive statistics variable values obtained for the variable health & Safety is equal to 3.62 which means very high then on the productivity variable that is equal 3,47 that is very high. It can be concluded that has been conducted on the application of occupational safety and health thereby increasing employee productivity.

Abstract

A runway infrastructure is the main access of aircraft in making movements, the quality of the runway is expected to provide comfort and safety. Generally, the type of asphalt used in runway pavement is PEN and PG asphalt, PEN asphalt is used in the center line located at the middle of the runway and PG in the treshold which is at the starting point of the aircraft tire at take off or during the exhalation of the aircraft, the main consideration in determining the quality of the asphalt mixture. The marshall test method itself with the addition of asphalt levels by wet, where from the Marshall test obtained results in the form of Marshall components, namely stability, Cavity in the mixture(Void In The Compacted Mixture / VIM),Air cavity filled with asphalt(Voids Filled with Bitumen / VFB),Cavities between aggregates (Void in the Mineral Aggregat / VMA),and Marshall Results / Marshall Quotient ( MQ ), Based on the results of the study of 3 variants of asphalt levels of 5%, 6%, 7% using PEN and PG asphalt produced optimum asphalt levels of 7% with a stability value of 3030 kN / mm, Value(flow)of 4.0 mm, For cavity values in concrete asphalt VIM value of 2.71%, VMA value of 16.87%, and value of VFB of 83.97% for variations of PEN asphalt and for PG asphalt variants resulting in optimum asphalt content of 6% with stability value of 3640 kN/mm, Value(flow)of 3.2 mm, For cavity values in concrete asphalt VIM value of 3.32%, VMA value of 15.8%, and value from VFB of 78.39%. In asphalt concrete mixtures with 3 variations in asphalt levels, flow values tend to increase, while stability, QM, density, and air cavity tend to decrease compared to normal asphalt concrete Overall in the addition of mixtures, to lower the pavement and flexibility to be low. Large asphalt rate 7% for Pen with a value of 3234 kN / mm, and for 6%. for Pg with a value of 3640 kN / mm.

Abstract

Jalan Sungai Ampal in front of the fresh market of Balikpapan Baru often inundation occurs when it rains. This is due to several factors, one of which is rainwater passing through the drainage channel that exceeds the storage capacity so that the water overflows which causes puddles in the surrounding area. In order for the handling to be carried out effectively, a thorough analysis of the drainage system is needed which will then be used as the basis for determining the handling of inundation. Data analysis in this research uses SWMM 5.1 application. Starting from knowing the cause of inundation to planning the ideal drainage channel capacity. This analysis is also assisted by the google earth application to see thearea subcatchmen, slope and soil elevation at the research site. Simulation of the ideal planned drainage channel capacity is carried out using the trial error method on the SWMM 5.1 application. From this method, the ideal design channel capacity is 1 m. On channel 1 can accommodate 0.574 m3/ sec with a maximum flow of 1.58 m / s and the channel capacity by 60%. On channel 2 can accommodate 0.792 m3/ sec with a maximum flow of 1.15 m / s and the channel capacity by 82%. On channel 3 can accommodate 1.418 m3/ sec with a maximum flow of 2.27 m / s and the channel capacity by 74%. No problem channels were found after re-simulation using the design channel dimensions, so the design diameter of 1 m is considered safe.

Abstract

The occurrence of changes in the location and height of the tide at the time of execution that exceed the planning conditions and disrupt the flow of municipal shipping. For this reason, the suspension bridge chamber was upgraded in order to create a traffic-free area opposite the free threshold. The results of the manual analysis taking into account the labor force due to the bridge steps, so that the real value of the bridge chamber is obtained to obtain the ideal deformation of the bridge working load. The ability of the bridge state to change the deformation results from this evaluation. The behavior of the four conditions was significantly different, namely the SDL forward state, in which the horizontal force that occurred in this state increased, but the deflection decreased by up to 200%, whereby in the f0 forward state was 0.16 meters , but in the SDL forward state the horizontal force only increased with a deflection of 0.05 meters. However, the overall result is that the stress states that occur are still below the limit or permissible conditions, based on the stress-strain curve of the cable material, the stress under operating conditions is still in the elastic range of the material.

Abstract

The function of Primary arterial street is to serve as road users to connect to the national activity center and for regional activity, which is long-distance travel. On that road, there are so many roads damaged, damaged due to heavy vehicle loads and some high frequencies. The study aims to identify the type of damage and to help in how the maintenance management of this street through system will be managed and systematically stored in the form of databases. The research used Bina Marga methods, assessments of road conditions refer to the Organizing of Urban Road Maintenance Programs issued by the Directorate General of Bina Marga. The survey was divided into 20 segments per 100 meters, the data were obtained from field surveys, with damage data and field photos, and then input data of the street table that use the file formats in ArcGIS software, and later data can be further analyzed. Research shows that the dominant damage happens in grains and patching. Research results on the road of Soekarno-Hatta KM 8-10 have a pretty low rate of damage, shown by the maintenance priorities listed in a regular maintenance program, which means maintenance or repair simply top layer without repairing road structures

Abstract

Uji kuat tekan uniaksial (UCS) adalah pengujian yang sering di gunakan dalam mekanika batuan untuk mengetahui kekuatan atau Titik runtuh batuan yang menjadi tolak ukur seberapa kuat batuan menahan beban yang diberikan. Batupasir adalah batuan sedimen yang sebagian besar terbentuk oleh kuarsa atau feldspar . Temperature dibawah permukaan bumi bertambah seiring bertambahnya kedalaman. Pengaruh pemanasan akan mempengaruhi sifat fisik dan mekanik batuan sekitar massa batuan sehingga dapat menyebabkan kerusakan di dalam batuan sehingga mengganggu kekuatan massa batuan sekitar. Memahami pengaruh suhu pada mekanik batuan sangat penting untuk desain struktur batuan dan penilaian keamanan dalam rekayasa batuan bawah tanah. Oleh karena itu perlu dipelajari lebih lanjut tentang pengaruh suhu terhadap sifat. mekanik batuan . Pada pengujian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suhu yang bervariasi terhadap nilai kuat tekan batupasir yang diuji. Contoh batuan dipanaskan dengan suhu 200°c, 250°c, 300°c, 350°c, dan 400°c, dalam waktu pemanasan 3 jam. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh variasi suhu terhadap sifat mekanik batuan. Dari hasil pengujian pada batupasir formasi Balikpapan terjadi peningkatan maksimum nilai kuat tekan pada suhu pemanasan 250°c sebesar 15,89 Mpa, dan pada formasi Pulaubalang terjadi peningkatan maksimum nilai kuat tekan pada suhu pemanasan 350°c sebesar 39,48 Mpa.

Abstract

Ahmad Yani road section (direction of SPBU-Rapak) is an arterial road located in Balikpapan industrial area. As a result of the construction of the Balikpapan RDMP project in the industrial area, there is an increase in the on-street parking from the project vehicles that decrease the speed of passing vehicles. This study aims to determine the performance of the Ahmad Yani road (SPBU-Rapak) due to side obstacles caused by the construction of the Balikpapan RDMP project. The research includes data collection for 6 days, 2 hours each, at 15.00-17.00 WITA. The traffic performance analysis is then calculated using the Indonesia Road Capacity Guidelines method (PKJI, 2014). The study also measures the speed reduction due to the movement of the side obstacles caused by the RDMP project vehicles. The preliminary survey shows that starting at 07.30 WITA, the side of the section is dominated by cars and buses belonging to the Balikpapan RDMP project. Therefore, this study analyzes the movement of the side obstacles instead of the side obstacles itself. The result of the study is that the section has the capacity of 1426,92 pcu/hour, and the degree of saturation at 0,82. The side movement of RDMP vehicles (entering and leaving the side of the section) reduces vehicle speed by 16%-50%. The service level of this segment is included in class D. This study suggests the project to provide adequate parking facilities to tackle the side obstacle problem.

Abstract

Daerah penelitian merupakan kawasan tambang batugamping yang terletak di daerah Air putih, Samarinda Ulu, Kalimantan Timur. Faktor keamanan pada aktifitas penambangan sangat ditentukan dengan kualitas massa batuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisi massa batuan dengan menggunakan kriteria keruntuhan Hoek-Brown. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Untuk mendapatkan hasil analisis kekuatan massa batuan batugamping diperlukan beberapa parameter utama yaitu kuat tekan uniaksial batuan utuh, indeks kekuatan geologi (GSI), litologi, faktor gangguan, bobot isi batuan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa kekuatan nilai massa batuan didapatkan dari hasil uji kuat tekan uniaxial dengan pembebanannya mengikuti standar ISRM 1981 sehingga dari hasil pengujian tersebut menghasilkan nilai 23 Mpa. Untuk hasil pengolahan data dengan kriteria keruntuhan Hoek-Brown didapatkan nilai GSI 78 dengan tingkat kualitas kondisi permukaan batuan sangat bagus. Untuk kualitas massa batuan ini memiliki struktur spesimen batuan utuh dengan sedikit ruang diskontinuitas. Berdasarkan pengamatan keadaan pada aktifitas penambangan pada daerah penelitian menggunakan metode penggalian secara mekanis maka ditentukan nilai faktor gangguan 0,7 dengan bobot isi batuan 0,59 gr/cm3. Berdasarkan kriteria keruntuhan Hoek-Brown. hasil akhir penelitian akan digunakan sebagai rekomendasi untuk desain penambangan batugamping dengan aman.
