Abstract

Munasabah is a science which tries to determine reasons behind the arrangement or sequences of sections of al-Qur’an. It emerged in the 4th hijri century based on the fact that the arrangement of surahs and verses of al-Qur’an aren’t arranged by time of revelation, but by order of Rasulullah shallallahu’alaihi wasallam. This study aimed to answer two questions: How is the application of the munasabah of verses 237-240 of QS. al-Baqarah in Nazhm ad-Duror Fî Tanâsub al-Âyât Wa as-Suwar? And how is the concept of verses 237-240 of QS. al-Baqarah in Nazhm ad-Duror Fî Tanâsub al-Âyât Wa as-Suwar?. The researcher found six concepts of munasabah between verses in al-Biqa’i in verses 237240 of QS. Al-Baqarah. First, munasabah between verses in the same surah. Second, Munasabah between verses and their closings. Third, Munasabah between words in one verse. Fourth, Munasabah between sentences in a verse. Fifth, Munasabah between verses in different surahs. Sixth, Munasabah between words and letters which follow them. In application, al-Biqa’i always tries to find munasabah between verses in the same surah and munasabah between verses and their closings. Sometimes, he even includes munasabah between verses in different surahs. However, al-biqa’i doesn’t mention every munasabah between sentences and between words.

Abstract

The best generation is the generation of sahaba. Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq was one of the best among them. With his noble character, even though his name is not written in the Al-Qur’an, there are at least 16 topics in the Al-Qur’an that was revealed about him. The research takes it focus on the Al-Qur’an verses that related to Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq according to M. Quraish Shibab’s Tafseer Al-Misbah which is one of the archipelago’s best tafseer that give its prioritize its discussion to the society and community matters. This research is library research based with thematical approach. The result of this research shows that the inter- pretation of the verses of Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq in M. Quraish Shihab’s Tafsir Al-Misbah was done by using a sistematic tahlili method, however, there are some particular aspect that were missed in some of the context: a) Asbabu An-Nuzul, Ali Imran: 159, Ali Imran: 186, Al-Hijr: 47, Al-Ahzab: 43, Ar-Rohman: 46, At-Tahrim: 4, Al-Lail: 5-16; b) The strengthen- ing of the interpretation by Hadits and Sirah, Al-Anfal: 67-68; c) Islamic Law, the details of ghanimah distribution. Also, one of the most superior aspect in this interpretation is the study of munasabat, which is divided into 6 kinds. M. Quraish Shihab’s interpretation is can be concluded within the Ahlu As-Sunnah Wa Al-Jammah scholars, it is not found any proof that indicates his interpretation is leaning to the syiah sect. This research also conclude about the moral value of Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq himself, such as, piety, becoming a best friend, gener- ous, courage, forgiving, repent, etc.

Abstract

Dalam al-Qur’an terdapat 165 kata shalaha dan turunannya dalam berbagai variasi penggunaan dan pengulangannya yang berarti yang baik atau yang bagus. Sedangkan kata shalihât sendiri merupakan bentuk jamak muannats dari kata shalaha yang di dalam al- Qur`an diulang sebanyak 36 kali.Dalam surat an-Nisa` ayat 34 disebutkan kata shalihât yang oleh para ahli tafsir di artikan wanita shalihah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengertian wanita shalihah itu dan apa saja karakternya menurut tafsir Jami` al-Bayan `An Takwili Ayi al-Qur`an karya imam ath-Thabari. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode Tahlili dengan langkah-langkah memaparkan ayat yang dibahas kemudian mengkajinya dari segala segi dan makna, ayat demi ayat, surat demi surat sesuai dengan urutan mushaf utsmani, yang memaparkan mufrodât, munâsabah, dan asbâbun nuzûl. Memaparkan tafsir ayat tersebut dengan merujuk pada tafsir ath-Thabari, kemudian menyebutkan karakteristik wanita shalihah dalam ayat tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengertian wanita shalihah adalah wanita yang lurus dalam menjalankan agama dan melakukan kebaikan, yang memiliki karakteristik diantaranya taat kepada Allah dan Rasul-Nya, taat kepada suaminya, menjaga kehormatannya dan menjaga harta suaminya, merasa tenang tinggal di rumahnya, jika keluar dari rumahnya tidak bertabarruj, jika suaminya melihatnya maka dia menyenangkan hati suaminya, menjaga dan mendirikan shalat wajibnya, dan menunaikan zakat wajibnya.

Abstract

Ethical aspects of speaking are often neglected in communication activities, so it has nega- tives impact. The author intends to examine the verses about the ethics of communication in the Al-Quran with the perspective of the Tafseer by the Ministry of Religion of Republic Indonesia, trac- ing the purposes of the application of communication ethics in life. This research is a library research with a comparative descriptive and uses documentation methods and thematic ana- lytical. Based on this results, in the Al-Quran there are several ethics communication if taken from the word Qaulan: speak softly, according to facts, respect especially to elders, choose words that have a positive effect on the other person’s soul, easy to understand, stay away from words that cause enmity and choose the best words that are commonly used in society. Mean- while, the purpose of the application of communication ethics in everyday life is for the cre- ation of effective and innovative communication patterns so that the message to be conveyed can be received by the interlocutor properly and does not cause misunderstanding.

Abstract

Ibnu Qayyim’s Interpretation on Al-Mu’awwidzatain in At-Tafsir Al-Qayyim. This research is designed to discover Ibnu Qayyim’s interpretation on Al-Mu’awwidzatain (Al-Falaq and An-Nâs) in At-Tafsir Al-Qayyim. In this research we adopted library research as the method of research & adopted analytical descriptive as the method of material analiz- ing. First of all, we will describe Ibnu Qayyim’s interpretation on surat Al-Falaq and An-Nâs, then we analize it by applying methods that agreed upon scholars.From this research, we can draw conclusion that Ibnu Qayyim described each surats in detail, and he also adopted mu- fassirs opinion alongside with his own opinion and excerpted some hadits or ayat to affirm his opinion. Surat Al-Falaq contains prayer of protection from outside evils such as: the evil of Allah’s creations, the evil of darkness when it settles, the evil of the blowers in knots, and the evil of an envier when he envies. And surat An-Nâs contains prayer of protection from inside evils namely evil whispers. Observed from the source of interpretation, Ibnu Qayyim adopted Tafsir bir ra’yi & adopted tahlili methods in his At-Tafsir Al-Qayyim. And his tafsir classified as sufi-adaby.

Abstract

The focus of this research is the interpretation of ‘Itâb (reprimand) to the Messenger of Allah in the Tafsîr Al-Qur’ân Al-‘Azhîm. The theme of ‘Itâb (reprimand) To the Prophet Muhammad was chosen because of this library research is descriptive-analytical. The primary source is the book of Tafsîr Al-Qur’ân Al-‘Azhîm. The secondary sources include writings that are relevant with this study. This research concludes: first, what is meant by 'Itâb (reprimand) is Allah's rebuke to the Messenger of Allah not because the Messenger of Allah was guilty or sinful, but ijtihad (his choice) violates what should be taken, even though ijtihad in Islam is permitted, but he is Prophet, Apostle, and as uswatun hasanah which is a good example for all people. As for the verse ‘Itâb (reprimand) to the Prophet Muhammad there were 12 places in the Qur'an according to the event. Q.S. an-Nisa '[4]: 105-113, Q.S. al-An'am [6]: 52-54, Q.S. al-Anfal [8]: 67-69, Q.S. at-Taubah [9]: 43-45, Q.S. at-Taubah [9]: 84, Q.S. al-Isra ’[17]: 73-77, Q.S. al-kahfi [18]: 23-24, Q.S. al-Hajj [22]: 52-54, Q.S. al-Ahzab [33]: 28, Q.S. al-Ahzab [33]: 36-40, Q.S. at-Tahrim [66]: 1-5, and Q.S. Abasa [80]: 1-16. Second, the interpretation of ‘Itâb (reprimand) to the Messenger of Allah in the Tafsîr Al-Qur’ân Al-‘Azhîm is based on mutawatir religious arguments that can be accounted for.

Abstract

Israiliyyat about stories of Prophet Sulaiman that are mentioned by Ibnu Jarir in his tafsir, found at surah al-Anbiya: 81 regarding greatness kingdom of Prophet Sulaiman and his abil- ity to master the wind, surah an-Naml: 35 regarding gifts from queen Balqis for Prophet Su- laiman, surah an-Naml: 44 regarding building of palace for Queen Balqis and surah Shaad: 34 regarding trial and tries seat by Allah for Prophet Sulaiman. from stories of Prophet Sulaiman in al-Qur’an we could gain some lessons such as leadership and how to rule na- tion, good manners in facing Allah’s trial and prove that race of jinn don’t have knowledge about the unseen.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Nowadays, dakwah is an urgent and necessary thing in people's life. People begin to sink in the worldly life with all the development and the luxury. They can not distinguish which ones should be selected and should not. Therefore, dakwah has a major role in guiding people to be able to determine the correct path (Shirat al mustaqim) among the existing paths in the real life. This study aimed to determine the dakwah methods in the Holy Qur'an according to the Tafsir Al-Azhar and the Tafsir an-Noor and find out the differences and the similarities of dakwah method in the Holy Qur'an according to the Tafsir Al-Azhar and the Tafsir Al-Noor. This research was library research that was by discussing conceptually including writing, editing, and presenting the data and then analyzing it. All the data sources were derived from written materials related to the topics from primary data; the Tafsir al-Azhar written by Prof. Dr. Hamka and the Tafsir an-Noor written by Hasbi Ash-Shiddieqy. The researcher used a descriptive method which was emphasis on the observation of symptoms, events, and actual conditions at the present time, while another research method used was comparative method that was by interpreting a particular Quranic verse text or by comparing verse and verse, verse and hadith, or verse and Ulama Tafsir’s opinion in the terms of the differences and similarities. Dakwah would be successful if the method was appropriately and correctly used. It should be done gently without coercion, wisdom, mau'izhah hasanah, mujadalah, and delivered the way it was without nothing to hide.

Abstract

Birrul Walidain or filial piety of both parents is one of the very important practices in Islam, he also has a high position in religion. This study discusses how Al-Jazairi’s interpretation of the verse birrul walidain in its interpretation and how birrul walidain is explained in it. To get objective data from the above problems, the researcher uses a descriptive analytical method, the researcher tries to describe the object of research in the interpretation of Aisar At-Tafâsîr, namely the interpretation of Abu Bakar Jabir Al-Jazairi on the verses of birrul walidain, and books relating with a theme, then analyze with a thematic interpretation ap- proach. In this case the researcher follows the workings described by Al-Farmawi in his book Al-Bidâyah Fi Al-Tafsir Al-Maudh’’i. The results of this study found that there were nine letters discussing birrul wâlidain in the Qur’an, in his interpretation it was explained that birrul walidain was doing good to both parents, serving both parents could be done in the form of actions and words. For example, by saying good words, do not hurt them, and obey the commands of both parents as long as not to act on Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala.

Abstract

Now humans experience various aspects of life such as economics, politics, social, law, education, and so on and there are many more various consequences of a materialistic view of life, which has damaged their faith and morals. Therefore, we need to know how the content of surah al-'Asr is. This study aims to find out how Al-Maraghi controls the control of surah al-'Asr in Tafsir Al-Maraghi, as well as steps to avoid losing people in Tafsir Al-Maraghi. This research is a library research, using the primary data source is the Tafsir al-Maraghi Book by Imam Ahmad Musthafa al-Maraghi. While the secondary data sources are books of commentary and other books that are related to the discussion of this research. This study uses the method of documentation and thematic method (maudhu'i) as data analysis techniques. The results show that Allah Ta'ala has sworn with time, which oath has more attention, namely there are people who are losers except, firstly those who live by believing, believing in the world because they want Allah. secondly practicing mutual assistance in accordance with Islamic teachings, third giving correct advice according to religious guidance, fourth advising each other to be patient in dealing with problems. This thesis hopes that in the future there will be authors who complete this research.
