<![CDATA[One of the important and beneficial manners that has begun to be abandoned and considered insignificant by some people is asking permission. Therefore, this research aimed to seek understandings of Quranic verses on asking permission (isti`dzân). Tafsir Ibnu Katsir was chosen in this research, for it was one of the greatest and most significant book in comment- ing the Quran, spread and admitted among the ummah. Library research method was used in this research, due to its convenience with the research topic about Quranic verses on seeking permission according to Tafsir Ibnu Katsir. Also, this research was fully based on books as data sources. The results showed that the interpreta- tion of Imam Ibn Katsir in interpreting lafadz isti`dzân was in accordance with the context and object that lafadz isti`dzân relied on. When lafadz isti`dzân is relied on the believer then the meaning is positive nature that teaches about good ethics to ask permission from others regarding rights and authority, whereas if lafadz isti`dzân is relied on hypocrites then the meaning is negative ethics to ask permission from others regarding their rights and author- ity, whereas if lafadz isti`dzân is relied on hypocrites then the meaning is negative ethics which is related to the rights and authority of others. explain their true nature and attitude, for example when ordered to leave for jihad they will always ask for permission not to join jihad for various reasons that are not shar'i.]]>

<![CDATA[Human being is an individual that consists af body and soul, and it’s proven on the daily ba- sis. Within individual interaction, nice words will lead to happiness and bad words will lead to sorrow. A soul also play a role to determine whether someone will do some good deeds or bad deeds. Whether happiness or sorrow, they’re determined by the state of heart. A healthy heart (qolbun salim) is a heart that wholeheartedly and happily worshipping Allah swt. It only would feels peace by remembering Allah swt. This research is designed to discover the interpretation of term Muthmainnah and how to pu- rify our soul based on Tafsir Al-Azhar. This research applied library research with thematic methods (Maudhu’i). Firstly, we appoint a certain topic to discuss, then gathering verses of Qur’an related to the topic, than analizing each verses thoroughly. The result of this research showed that term Muthmainnah in the Qur’an (based on Tafsir Al- Azhar) has seven different topics following its explanation. They are dzikr, soul, victoty (on Battle of Badr), iman, serenity, angel, and contentment towards this worldly life.]]>

<![CDATA[Humanity belongs to contemporary matters at issue, especially related to human right. The Secular West worldview more often than not accused Islam as human right violator. The accusation is based on principle that human beings are equal and having freedom of choosing way of life. This research is designed to discover the conception of Islam towards concept of humanity and human right issued in Universal Declaration of Human right. By doing so, moslems should stand proportionally while responding humanity issues. It takes descriptive and qualitative nature using comparative method, beginning from elaborating West worldview towards humanity and human right; then, comparing the declaration to Islam worldview. The result reveals that as far as Islam is concerned, there is misconception of the West in terms of freedom of faith. Take for example, one is free in choosing and leaving a religion, and in having marriage with one of another faith. Certainly, this conception is as a result of West worldview which disregards Revelation (wahyu). Conversely, Islam Worldview treats Revelation as guidance and reference in all aspects of life, including in humanity and human right.]]>

<![CDATA[The pronouncing of the word tasbih is found in many places in the holy Qur`an. There is no matter repeating Qur`an but this matter has high position and to be attention by the reader. Qur`an states that not only human as the leader in earth say tasbih but also universe and all the content also said tasbih to Allah Ta’âla. This research is aimed to understand the interpretation toward verses talked about universe tasbih in Mafâtîh Al-Ghaib interprete and interpretation method used by the writer. The approach used in this research is maudhu’i approach with the kind research library re- search. Begining with fixing the theme that will be discuss, collect verses related to the liter- ary of the determined source. The analysis result of this research is known that Mafâtîh Al-Ghaib interpretation explained mukallaf creature say tasbih to Allah in two ways: first, with lisân al-maqâl. The second with the action (lisân al-hâl) that showed the rustic to Allah, glorify, and purify. And the tasbih of Ghairu Mukallaf creature is like annual, plant, and the dead things, so the tasbih is done by the lisân al-hâl. Whereas the method used in interpretation toward universe tasbih among of them attend to the relation (munâsabah) between the verses, arrangement and the diction in the verse, explanation idea that opposite in detail to argue later, and the interpretation domi- nated by writer ra`yu.]]>

<![CDATA[Both parents are servants of Allah who mediate the presence of the child in this world. The command to worship both parents in the Qur'an is always juxtaposed with the command to worship Allah and not associate Him. While the phenomenon that occurs is the number of cases of children disobeying their parents. This research will examine the importance of filial piety and comparison of interpretation between the book Tafsir al-Maraghi by Ahmad Musthafa al-Maraghi with Tafsir al-Azhar by Hamka. Two contemporary commentators who have different backgrounds in place, but have the same method and style of interpretation, namely the tahlili method and the literary style of social culture. In formulating the research results of this thesis, the type of research used is "library research" (literature). And this data collection comes from primary data, namely Tafsir al-Maraghi by Ahmad Mustafa al-Maraghi and Tafsir al-Azhar by Hamka. In this analysis method, the writer uses the descriptive analysis method. In interpreting the verses about devotion to both parents, al-Maraghi and Hamka both explain the concept of devotion to parents mentioned in several of the same verses. Where there has explained the meaning, encouragement, and priorities of devotion to both parents, as well as the obligations and rights of the parents that the child should perform to the parents. While the differences in the interpretation of the two are from the reference of the hadith, the addition of information, and the combination of verses when interpreting.]]>

<![CDATA[Dalam perjalanan sejarah kehidupan manusia, tak luput mereka selalu diwarnai berbagai permasalahan konflik mulai dari yang terkecil adalah konflik pribadi hingga konflik kelompok dan bahkan agama, bangsa maupun negara. Kondisi seperti ini menuntut langkah cepat untuk memperbaiki dan merekonsiliasi hubungan antara pihak-pihak terkait sehingga senantiasa tercipta kehidupan yang harmonis saling pengertian dan damai. Usaha penyelesaian sengketa di dalam Al-Qur’an biasa disebut dengan istilah Al-Ishlah. Term ishlah sendiri dapat juga diartikan se- bagai perbuatan terpuji dalam kaitannya dengan perilaku manusia. Beberapa ahli fiqih memberi- kan definisi yang hampir sama meskipun dalam redaksi yang berbeda, arti yang mudah dipahami adalah memutus suatu persengketaan. Dalam penerapan yang dapat kita pahami adalah suatu akad dengan maksud untuk mengakhiri suatu persengketaan antara dua orang yang saling bersengketa yang berakhir dengan perdamaian dan tidak merugikan salah satu pihak (win-win solution). Pada umumnya penyelesaian sengketa dilakukan melalui dua proses. Yaitu melalui proses litigasi di- dalam pengadilan dan penyelesaian sengketa melalui proses kooperatif di luar pengadilan. Proses penyelesaian sengketa melalui jalur litigasi sering dinilai kurang mampu merangkul kepentingan bersama, bersifat adversal, dapat menimbulkan permasalahan baru, mahal dan kurang responsif. Sementara penyelesaian melalui jalur di luar pengadilan justru cenderung menghasilkan “win win solution”, kerahasiaan pihak-pihak terjamin, prosedur mudah, murah, komprehensif dalam keber- samaan dan tetap menjaga hubungan baik.]]>

<![CDATA[Along with the times, there have been many interpretations of the verses of the Qur'an that continue to develop. Misunderstanding in interpreting the meaning of lafadz, especially concerning matters of faith, can be fatal, because it will plunge a person into polytheism. There are still many deviations from people's understanding of intercession, because the meaning of intercession itself is many, some interpret or interpret that intercession can be obtained by going to the graves of pious people and then asking them for intercession or help, even though it is not. there is a hadith or verse of the Qur'an that allows it. This study aims to find out the interpretation of knowing the interpretation of the intercession lafadz in the Qur'an based on the Tafsir Al-Wasîth by Wahbah az-Zuhailî. This research is a library research with analytical descriptive approach. <![CDATA[Islam came to glorify women where at that time the ignorant community both hated women and did not want them. Allah commands women to maintain self-respect (iffah) so as not to fall into doing things that make themselves driven to viciousness and to guard themselves from tabarruj actions. This research is a library research. The primary sources are Tafsîr ath- Thâbarî and the book al Jâmi' Li Ahkâm al- Qur'ân, namely, in comparing the interpretation of the meaning of tabarruj. The result of the research on the meaning of tabarruj based on the Tafsîr ath- Thâbarî book is to walk in steps and it is an order of Allah SWT to the wives of the Prophet Salallahu 'Alaihi Wassallam alone, while according to Imam al-Qurthubi, Surat al-Ahzab verse 33 is ordered to the wife of the Prophet Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wassallam as well as to other women and the meaning of tabarruj is open and visible to the eye. Both of them interpret jâhilîyahal - 'ula as pre-Islamic.]]>

<![CDATA[Justice is the essence of law enforcement. While the meaning of justice itself varies depending on where the perspective is. Justice in the Qur’an has a large meaning. Al-Qur’an as the Mus- lim holy book plays the role of Tibyan, hudan, nur, syifa, furqan and rahmah for all nature, offering humanity a concept that is definitely clear, certainly good and certainly fair about justice itself. From here the author feels that it is need to re-examine the meaning and concept of justice offered by the Qur’an in perspective as to how justice is explained in the Qur’an based on universal values of justice itself as the epistemological foundation of Muslims in in- terpreting the supremacy of justice. This research is a library research (library research), the technique of collecting data with the method of documentation, then in this study the authors use data analysis techniques adopted from al-Farmawi’s theory in his interpretation of the maudhu’i method. The results of this study indicate that the existence of Al-Qur’an’s concern in the enforcement of justice in universal (syamil) and overall (mutakammil). The belief in the perfection of Allah’s justice and obedience to the rules that he revealed is a consequence of the faith (lawaazimul iimaan). The attitude of sami’na wa atho’na, does not feel heavy and wants to be regulated, obedient, there is no bargaining, to follow it all, not being picky is a unified system of accepting everything wholeheartedly, this is what is meant by Islam kaffah. Having understood and understood all the wisdom behind the words Adil and Qist along with their derivation fostered the belief that God’s justice is truly perfect there is no doubt in it and shows the supremacy of justice Allah Swt. above all.]]>

<![CDATA[Islam pays great attention to inter-religious tolerance. In the Quran, there are many verses that discuss about tolerance between religions, but here, will be discuss only the six verses of surah al-Kâfirûn, because the content of surah al-Kâfirûn is a social capital and the sensitivity of the Quran to multi-religious social life and Islam which is very tolerant of different religions. This research is a library research, where the researcher will describe the interpretation of each verse in surah al-Kâfirûn and then analyzed to obtain conclusions about the concept of inter-religous tolerance in surah al-Kâfirûn according to Ahmad Musthafa al-Maraghi and its implementation in Brunei Darussalam. While implementaion research in Brunei Darussalm uses library research. The data is obtained from the Brunei Darussalam law book, government websites, and books related to Brunei Darussalam. The results of the analysis of the concept of tolerance between religions in surah al-Kâfirûn according to Ahmad Musthafa al-Maraghi in the book Tafsîr al-Marâghî revealed that Islam recognizes the existence of other religions and allow its people to interact with non-muslim but forbids compromise in the field of faith and worship because Islam explicity rejects polytheism, worship or laws found in other religions. Related to the implementation of Ahmad Musthafa al-Maraghi’s interpretation in surah al-Kâfirûn in Brunei Darussalam is the same, as in similar, where non-muslim there are free to practice their religion and be treated well, as long as they follow the law there.]]>
