Abstract

The background of this research was managers need to determine how organisational practices and routines influence service staff attitudes and behaviours and how the latter set affects organisational performance drivers. Service organisations can enhance their performance by putting in place strategies and practices that strengthen the service-oriented behaviours of theiremployees and reduce their intention to leave the organisation. The objective of this reseach was to investigate the effect of organisational practices and rotines toward organisational performance mediated by employee attitudes in hotels. The design of this reseach applies to five hotels (five stars) in Jakarta and the questionnaires were spreaded away to 181 respondent/employees by using convenience sampling. The result of this reseach conclude that: a) Service oriented businessstrategy has a significant and substantial influence on service orientation. b)Service training did not have a significant dirrect effect on service orientation. c) Service training significanlyinfluenced job satisfaction. d) Job satisfaction has a significant influence on service orientation. e) Job satisfaction has a significant influence on affective commitment. f) Affective commitment has a significant influence on intention to leave. g) Affective commitment has asignificant influence on service orientation

Abstract

Using the relational marketing perspective theory of the firm to establish a theoritical foundation, this study serves to fill a gap in the supply chain service management literature with respect tosupply chain service management performance and sales performance antecedent such as strategic service competence, degree of suppliers’ integration, the perceived status function of supply chain service management, and firm size as a moderated variable.The sample used for this study consist of 216 respondents from 23 different manufacturers which had a network of suppliers, and about 73.1% had corporate-wide decision-making responsibilities. Confirmatory factor analyses provided evidence of adequate model fit, convergent and discriminant validity for the underlying variables, and respective factors in the model. The conceptual model and the hypothesized are tested using Structural Equation Modeling. Support was found for the causal relationship between variables in the models that strategic service competence based on relationship marketing, degreesupplier’s integration and perceived status function of supply chain service management by simultan directly had positive contribution on supply chain service management performance;interestingly, strategic service competence through degree supplier’s integration, perceived status function of supply chain service management and supply chain service management performance had indirectly positive contribution on sales performance, and firm size as moderated had no contribution on relation between strategic service competence based on relationship marketing and supply chain service management’s performance. This research indicated that the degree suppliers’ integration and its perceived status function of supply chain service management are necessary resources to strengthen strategic competitive advantage of the firms. Professionals inthe supply chain service management are endeavoring to improve relationship suppliers and to integrate these service activities in the strategy will increase firm’s performance

Abstract

This study aimed to test an empirical manner on the role of student satisfaction at Private Universities through the study on private university students in Bandar Lampung, Indonesia. The research was done on 5 private universities in Bandar Lampung. Questionnaires were distributed to 500 respondents as samples to be taken by using purposive sampling technique. To analyze the data Structural Equation Model was used as a method and analysis of data processed using software lisrel 8.80 statistics for windows. The results of the study found that student’s perceivedvalue had some positive effects significantly to student satisfaction, and it was sufficiently significant to affect the Student loyalty. It was concluded that student satisfaction is the influence of full mediating between student perceived value against student loyalty. The results of the research also found that student perceived value influential positive and significant against student loyalty.Therefore it was concluded that Student satisfaction was full mediating effect between Students perceived value to Student loyalty. To increase the student loyalty it was better for the institution to have good communication to student, asked the lecturer to help students to overcome difficulties in their lectures and give the same service to all students .Further research was suggested to add variables or another dimension into a model of student loyalty or using different respondents characteristic in the form of national universities/Private Universities which was more complete and more extensive research areas. Besides that it was suggested also to conduct a research in the scope of more widely education, ranging from basic education, secondary education, higher education and vocational education, so as expected to get a student loyalty model for all kinds of level of education.

Abstract

Spiritual intelligence enables people to live with the greater meaning and depth and to look for a meaning beyond the physical needs and a low-level life in their business. Spiritual intelligence will also assist the workers in achieving their happiness and satisfaction with their current jobs.In the long run, spiritual intelligence will help the organizations to achieve business objectives and allow the employees to flourish within the organization. The main objective of this study is to analyze the effect of worker’s spiritual intelligence to achieve organization performance using workers job satisfaction as mediating variable. This study is choosing some management practices in Indonesian biggest developer companies. Respondents in this research consist of workers in all business units owned by those developer companies. All the data is statistically analyzed using the Structural Equation Method model. Findings of this research indicate that there’s a positive effect between spiritual intelligence workers and job satisfaction. The study also proved that as long as the workers satisfied with their jobs, their productivity will increase and finally the organization performance will also improve. The future research should consider the importance role of the leader for organization performance by setting-up core value within organization. This study is the first, to the researcher’s knowledge, to see the effect of all dimensions of spiritual intelligence into workers job satisfaction and finally to improve organization performance.

Abstract

In facing the competitive market structure, Private University is forced to compete in order to attract students and to preserve them until graduation, continue their study to the higher leveland to distribute positive information by word of mouth amongst the community as a form of persuasion to others. The purpose of this research is to analyze : The effect of image, perceivedquality, and perceived value on student satisfaction, The effect of Student Satisfaction on Student loyalty mediated by trust and commitment. The source of the data is secondary data taken from The Ministry of National Education (Kemdiknas), Kopertis region III and the primary data is taken from a survey of Private University students in Jakarta, with the number of samples being= 500, analyzed by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Lisrel 8.80.The findings of this research are: six hypothesis take positive effect and significant. Student loyalty is not influenced by student satisfaction mediated by trust (No mediating), Student loyalty is influenced by student satisfaction mediated by commitment (full mediating).

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to analyze the influence of consumers’ religious behavior on their intention to purchase halal-labeled products, and also to analyze whether consumers with Islamic educational background are different from consumers with general educational background in terms of their religious behavior and their intention to purchase halal-labeledproducts. This research uses purposive random sampling with 312 samples which represents the Muslim consumer especially students at State Islamic University of Jakarta and Trisakti University. This research applies Structural Equation Model to analyze the model and Mann-Whitney Test to analyze the differences. The finding showed that consumers’ religious behavior significantly influence their intention to purchase halal-labeled products, and only in terms of their intention to purchase halal-labeled products, consumers with Islamic educational background is higher than consumers with general educational background. Because of consumers’ religious behavior is high, consumer intention to purchase halal-labeled products also become elevated.Thus, it is suggested that government and related institutions need to implement the Security Act of Halal Products immediately in order to protect the consumer from consuming non-halal products which are often circulating in Indonesian market and potentially causing social, political and economical turmoil.

Abstract

This study examined the effect of prior customer experiences on the perceived justice in service recovery through the moderation role of customer personality. In addition, this research examinesperceived justice to satisfaction with service recovery with the moderation role of corporate reputation, as well as satisfaction with service recovery influence the future behavior intentionin form of repurchase intention and positive campaign in the form of free advertising by word of mouth. Respondents in this study are the customers of 4 (four) sole distributor agents (ATPM) with 300 respondents, the analysis technique used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with multigroupanalysis.The results showed that: (1) Prior experience affect the procedural, interactional and informational justice, but has no effect on distributive justice (2) Customer personality moderating reinforced the influence of prior experience on procedural and interactional justice, (3) Perceived justice (distributive justice, procedural justice, interactional justice and informational justice) affect satisfaction with service recovery, (4) Corporate reputation moderating reinforced the influence of distributive, procedural and informational justice on satisfaction with service recovery, but not moderating reinforced the influence of interactional justice on satisfaction with service recovery, (5) Satisfaction with service recovery influence the future behavior intention in form of repurchase intention and word of mouth (WOM).

Abstract

Small-medium scale enterprises enterprises (SME) found in developing and developed countries is still facing classical handicap such as technology, finance, managerial and market accessibility, in spite of its high flexibiliry, responsiveness, dynamic and resistance. Therefore, designing and management of SME in context of technology dissemination needs to understand business dimension as enterprise description, product/service, market, enterprise location, competition, management, personnel, budget, research and development. Beside general technology, both SME in general and specific are closely related to: (1) Technology choice covering technology complexities, capital intensity, and human resource (HR) quality; (2) Technology learning strategy based on learned technology position combination, both process and products with faced competition, through existing learned technology, technology integration, technology development and basic research; (3) Enterprise unit covering enterprise scale, HR, organization,location, product type, enterprise unit, experiences, competition level and business network; (4) Performance indication of business unit and business man, and technology diffusion institutions; (5) Linkages of business with characteristics of authority, functional, normative and diffusion. Dissemination pattern of integrated and sustainable technology is expected to establish network among development subjects intensively and dynamically, to compile agenda of transfer technology, implement technology that is appropriate and develop learning organization for technology dissemination activities.

Abstract

Mutual Fund is one of developing industries. Since it was launched in 1996, mutual fund industry has repidly grown. This fact was indicated by more and more mutual funds that are operated. This condition provides more choices for by investors. Beside considering of benefit and value which will be given by mutual fund, investors must also consider performance of mutual fund. The objective of this research is to evaluate performance of mutual fund in Indonesia and what factors which influence the performance of mutual fund. Measure the performance of the mutual fund, this research used model awhich was developed by Alpha Jensen. Using Jensen model caused an unconditional model, which performance of mutual fund can be compared without focusing on the differentiation of the portfolio diversification level. This model measures performance by intercept of regression between excess portfolioreturn as dependent variable and excess market return as independent variable. The result of this research that is only two of six mutual fund has outperform toward market perform as a benchmark performance. Variable of excess market retum level was consistent influenced portfolio return with positive significance. The bad mutual fund performance more caused by stocks election ability of portfolio managers in selectingaccurate stock to porlfolio. Beside uncapability of portfolio managers in selecting accurate stock, the different characteristic of mutual fund caused bad observed mutual fund.

Abstract

This research background is constituted by the existence of requirement of bank employees to compete and improve ability. Matter like these cerlainly will be able to generate abundant job stress. The objective of this research is to prove scientifically the influence of personal characteristics like behavior, personality, and locus of control conduct of stress work as a bank employee, specially in certain part of an organization chart. The design of this research uses a field studies which are experimental and test hypothesis. Intake of sample uses a technique of non pertained probability sampling. Data analysis uses a method of enter constructive SPSS PC. Used analysis of multiple regression, seen influence three personal characteristic variables that are behavior, personality, and locus of control conduct to stress work at audit unit and also treasury unit, see influence of independent variable to job stress, job pressure, and lack of support. And also by using t -test to see the difference of the job stress, job pressure and lack of support of at both groups. Result of variable with variable ties and there are differences of stress work and lack of supports to both groups, while to job pressure there is no difference.
