Abstract

As urban growth increase, massive high-rise building construction become a critical solution. In high-rise building, column base may be subjected to very high axial load from the upper stories and may experience very large moment due to the lateral loads. As a result, the column base requires a great deal amount of reinforcement which make it very cramped. In order to prevent honeycomb as the reinforcement gap is narrow yet difficult to provide sufficient vibration during concrete casting, high performance concrete (HPC) may be the solution. One of the HPC innovations is Reactive Powder Concrete (RPC). RPC is a self-compacting type of HPC contains well graded fine and super fine aggregates with cement and pozzolanic material to strengthen the Interfacial Transition Zone (ITZ) between the mortar matrix and fine aggregates. RPC may achieve high compressive strength as the mix uses low water to cement ratio, thus it introduces less void and no coarse aggregates, thus ITZ is stronger. RPC has similar characteristic as concrete, with its brittle behaviour. To avoid the brittle failure of RPC, in this study steel fibers are added into the RPC mixture. This research is conducted to examine the effectiveness of using steel fibers on the mechanical properties of Steel Fiber Reactive Powder Concrete (SFRPC). The steel fiber is aimed to increase ductility of tensile strain hardening condition by its multiple crack-bridging behavior.

Abstract

Slope is the surface of the earth that forms an inclination angle, that it has the potential for landslides. Landslide will be occurred by several factors, such as steep slopes, large loads, high rain intensity, poor drainage systems, high ground water levels and others. Therefore, slope stability analysis is needed to ensured that the slopes are safe from landslides potential which injured many people. As for the prevention and handling of landslides that can be done, such as changing the geometry of the slopes, improving the drainage system, providing slope reinforcement such as gabions, retaining walls, poles and others. This study aims to determine the effect of water level on the stability of the existing slope and which has been reinforced by bored piles using a 3-dimensional numerical model. The case study reviewed is the slope in the Integrated School in Bendungan Village, Jonggol District, Bogor Regency. The results of the analysis show that in the existing conditions with a normal water level, the value of the safety factor (SF) is 1.16, and when the water level is critical, the SF value is 1.14. Whereas in slope conditions with the reinforcement of the bored pile, the analysis results show that the SF value with normal water level is 2.33 and when the water level is critical is 1.58. The results of the analysis with the reinforcement of the drill pile show that the SF value is more than 1.5 so that the slope is safe from landslide based on SNI 8460 of 2017.

Abstract

There is a program regarding the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the period 2015-2030. These Sustainable Development Goals are also a continuation of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) which were agreed upon in 2000 and ended in 2015. Of the 17 existing points, they are related to sustainability. The Development Goals contain one of the points that discusses responsible consumption and production, where this point is included in point 12. Thus by 2030 Indonesia has a target that can achieve sustainable management and efficient use of natural resources. This is the basis of this study, where in this study using concrete to be a coarse substitution with a variation of concrete waste using 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% of the total new aggregate. Then carried out on the test object with the Marshall test method to the permanent deformation test so that the Marshall test results and the results of the permanent deformation are obtained. Concrete waste originating from K-250 quality concrete (ex-test with compressive strength) meets the requirements for hot asphalt mix aggregate based on the 2010 Highways Specification (Revision 3). The permanent deformation value of the Asphalt Concrete Binder Course layer mixture that uses K-250 quality concrete waste shows the level of concrete waste with a composition of 5% which has almost the same dynamic stability performance and speed when compared to 0% composition of concrete waste using 10% concrete waste. and 15% for the composition shows lower performance compared to 0% waste concrete.

Abstract

Covid-19 pandemic affected all of the country. Not only affected public’s health, pandemic also massively affected the social state and country’s economy. Some of the country already entering the recession, not limited to Indonesia. One of contributed sector in Indonesia’s economy is construction industry sector which this sector now in declining growth. The implementation of Work-from-Home (WFH) in construction company is one of many ways so the economy and construction sector in Indonesia keep on the track. On contrary, contractor’s engineering process in project need intensed communication with stakeholder and direct monitoring so it’s against the WFH concept. This research aim to know the effectivity of every contractor’s engineering process in project during pandemic. The result of research found that quantity survey process, making of method statement, and job safety analysis are effective enough to do with WFH concept. While the process of site construction progress calculation, design fixation, and shopdrawing process and approval are not effective to do wih WFH concept.

Abstract

Rapid growth at the time of the event demanded space and resources. Changes in land use in green areas into residential areas which reduce natural infiltration areas which make it difficult for air to absorb and cause surface runoff. Based on these conditions, it is necessary to develop a rainwater management method to reduce flood discharge, either managed by being infused, collected or channeled out of the area with the smallest possible discharge. By implementing a drainage system with an environmental or ecodrainage perspective in the Karawaci Kingdom Park housing area, it is possible to reduce runoff discharge that occurs. Some of the ecodrainage technologies that are applied in the slumping areas are rainwater storage, infiltration wells, biopores, bioretension and retention ponds. Based on the results of the calculation of the housing runoff discharge value of 0.22286 m3/s. By implementing an ecodrainage system, it can reduce 52% of the total area discharge and the rest will flow into the retention pond before being run off to the receiving water bodies. Due to limited land, the pool storage capacity is 900 m3.

Abstract

As a country that surrounded by active volcanoes, Indonesia has a very diverse clay soil content. However, in reality, clay soil is an unfavorable condition for construction activities because of its low-level of stability. Therefore, when the clay soil receives a static load on it, the soil will slowly have a settlement due to the dissipation of pore water. This settlement usually occurs over a very long period of time, thus, it is necessary to do the soil improvement using Prefabricated Vertical Drain (PVD) combined with preloading in order to shorten the time of soil consolidation so that the consolidation process becomes faster. Soil settlement analysis is calculated using two soil parameters derived from the NSPT correlation data and laboratory test data to determine the most efficient soil parameters. Furthermore, a theoretical soil improvement analysis was carried out by comparing Baron's theory and Hansbo's theory and using the Settle3D analysis program. The analysis results show that the calculation of consolidation settlement using soil parameters from laboratory test results has the closest value to the actual results in the field with a efficiency of 91%. Meanwhile, for soil improvement, the most effective PVD design was chosen using the Hansbo theory with a triangular installation pattern and a spacing of 150 cm combined with a gradual embankment.
