The Journal covers the discussion of (1) the activities, strategies, structures and decision making processes of profit and non-profit organization or enterprises; (2) interactions between national or multinational enterprises and other actors, organizations, institutions and markets; (3) the cross-border activities of firms (e.g., B-to-B trade, finance, investment, technology transfers); (4) how the business environment (e.g., cultural, economic, legal, political) affects the activities, strategies, structures and decision-making processes of firms; (5) the dimensions of organizational forms (e.g., strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions) and activities (e.g., entrepreneurship, knowledge-based competition, corporate governance); and (6) comparative studies of businesses, business processes and organizational behavior in different demographics, countries and environments.

Abstract

This research aims to determine and analyze the factors that influence the firm value either directly or indirectly through the capital structure of the consumer goods industry sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The secondary data used in this research are from annual report of the consumer goods industry sector companies within 2016 – 2020 period. The analytical method use Path Analysis. The population in this reseacrh consisted consumer goods industry sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique and obtained as many as 19 companies according to the criteria. The test results show that profitability and dividend policy have a significant effect on the capital structure and firm value, firm size has no significant effect on the capital structure and firm value. Capital Structure can mediating the effect of profitability on firm value, but can not mediating the effect of firm size and dividend policy on firm value.

Abstract

Waste management in the batik making industry is very important. Apart from complying with the regulations made by the government, waste management is also one way to improve the environmental ecosystem around the industry. Based on the results of interviews conducted at Dewi Rengganis Batik Industry House, there are problems regarding industrial waste management. It is known that Dewi Rengganis Batik Industry House does not carry out waste management properly, due to the absence of WWTP and not knowing how to properly manage waste. The research objective was to determine the quality standards of waste owned by Dewi Rengganis Batik Industry using the Total Quality Environmental Management (TQEM) method. This type of research is descriptive. The results of this study indicate that the waste quality standards in Dewi Rengganis Batik Industry House have not reached the optimal standard in waste quality standards. This is caused by 6 parameters. The six parameters are pH, BOD5, COD, TSS, Sulfide, and Oil and Fat. The factors causing the failure of waste management at Dewi Rengganis Batik Industry House include material, human, tools, and method factors. The recommendation for improvement at Dewi Rengganis Batik Industry House is to carry out waste management using methods, biology, physics and chemistry. It is hoped that the batik industry will not use chemical dyes so as not to produce waste that is harmful to the environment.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine and analyze the effect of Islamic service quality on customer loyalty through customer satisfaction at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Jember Branch. The analytical technique used in this study is path analysis using SPSS 25 to determine the effect of Islamic service quality variables on customer loyalty through customer satisfaction at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Jember Branch. The sample used in this study were 140 respondents. Where data acquisition is done through the distribution of questionnaires to customers of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Jember Branch. The results of this study indicate that the quality of Islamic services has a significant effect on customer satisfaction, customer satisfaction has a significant effect on customer loyalty and the quality of Islamic services has a significant effect on customer loyalty through customer satisfaction at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Jember Branch.

Abstract

The study is a quantitative descriptive research using CAMEL research method approach and different test to compare financial performance of Bank Rakyat Indonesia and Bank Rakyat Indonesia Syariah. The population in this study is Bank Rakyat Indonesia and Bank Rakyat Indonesia Syariah of 2015 – 2019. The reason for choosing these years is because the researcher assess that these years are the newest years from previous years. Data type used in this study is secondary data which listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) and obtained from www.idx.co.id and the official website of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk or abbreviated as BRI and PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Syariah or abbreviated as BRIS on 2015 – 2019.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze factors that can affect the interest of workers to migrate commuters from Sidoarjo to the city of Surabaya. This research aims to analyze the influence of family dependents, education level, income, and marital status on the interest of workers migrating commuters from Sidoarjo to Surabaya City. To achieve this goal in this study, logistic regression model analysis techniques were used using primary data from a sample of 50 respondents. The results of the analysis test of this study showed that the variable burden of family dependents, variables of education level and marital status had a positive and significant effect. While the income variable has a positive and insignificant effect on the interest of the workforce to migrate commuters from Sidoarjo to the city of Surabaya.

Abstract

The importance of public relations tasks in the hospital work system as a center for the formation of a brand image for the hospital towards the community is the main concern in determining the community's choice of hospital. Therefore, hospitals are required to carry out good public relations duties. The subject of this study was the Public Relations and PKRS Installation at RSD Dr Soebandi as one of the hospitals that has implemented and developed guidelines for the implementation of public relations tasks. The guidelines for the implementation of public relations tasks used by RSD dr Soebandi are compiled in the form of a Director's Decree. The research was conducted using in-depth interviews with informants to form the basis for formulating performance evaluations. The results showed that the Public Relations and PKRS Installation at RSD Dr Soebandi consisted of 3 units that jointly carried out public relations tasks, namely the PR and marketing unit, the PKRS unit, and the public complaints unit. After comparison, it was stated that the Public Relations and PKRS Installation of RSD dr Soebandi had not fully carried out their public relations duties in accordance with the agreed public relations task guidelines.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of compensation and work environment on performance through job satisfaction of non ASN employees of the Jember Regency Government. The population in this study was all non ASN employees of Jember Regency Government working period 2020. The sampling technique used was nonprobability sampling with a purposive sampling method that is the technique of determining the sample with certain considerations. The number of samples in this assessment was 52 respondents from the Regional Secretariat and all Agencies in the Jember Regency Government. This research uses primary data in the form of questionnaire. Data analysis method used in this study is the path analysis method. Based on the results of research and discussion shows that compensation influences job satisfaction, work environment has an effect on job satisfaction, compensation has an effect on performance, the work environment has an effect on performance, and the work environment has an effect on Job Satisfaction.

Abstract

Locus of control and competency are factors that can affect employee performance. Organizational culture is one of the factors that can strengthen or weaken influence so that it acts as a moderating variable. This study aims to determine the influence of Locus of Control and Competence on Employee Performance and the influence of organizational culture in moderating the influence of Locus of Control and Competence on Employee Performance. This research is explanatory research with 42 respondents. Sampling using non-probablity sampling method with purposive sampling technique. The data analysis method used is Moderated Regression Analysis. The results showed that Locus of Control and Competence has a positive and significant impact on employee performance. Organizational Culture is proven to moderate the influence of Locus of Control on employee performance and moderate the effect of Competence on Employee Performance at Telkomsel Branch Sidoarjo. Implementation of organizational culture in building employee self-management and competence is important in improving employee performance.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the effect of competence, participatory leadership style and organizational culture on employee performance at Pesenkopi in Malang. This study used a sample of 60 respondents who were taken using saturation sampling technique.data were analyzed using multiple linear regression using software version 24. The results showed thatcompetence, participatory leadership style and organizational culture had a significant positive effect on the performance of Pesenkopi employees in Malang.
