Abstract

This research aimed to improve student learning outcomes using the inquiry method in the Qur'an Hadith material. This research was a classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles. Each cycle's steps adopted the steps suggested by Kemmis and Taggart; planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The research subjects were 21 students (14 girls and 7 boys) in class IIIB MI Maulana Maghribi Bantul. Data were collected through test and non-test (observation) techniques. Data were analyzed using the quantitative descriptive method. The research is said to be successful if students who reach the KKM are at least 75%. The results obtained were that the average learning outcomes in cycle 2 increased by 20.5%, from 74.3 to 89.5. The number of students who reached the KKM in cycle 2 was 90.5%. Student participation in cycle 2 reached 80%.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the increase in student interest and learning outcomes through the use of Aurora 3D Presentation learning media in grade 10th of TMP B SMKN 3 Palu, 2018/2019 Academic Year. This research was a classroom action research. Each cycle consisted of planning, implementing the action, observing (observing) and reflecting. The subjects of this study were all students of class 10th TMP B, with the total of 36 students. Data collection techniques included observation and tests. The data were analysed used a qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the use of Aurora 3D Presentation learning media can increase interest and learning outcomes of grade 10th TMP B SMKN 3 Palu in the 2018/2019 academic year. The increase in student interest in learning in the first cycle with an average score of 2.8 in the medium category then increased in the second cycle with an average score of 3.4 in the high category. The increase in student learning outcomes can also be seen from the average value and the percentage of classical completeness. In the first cycle, the students' average score was 75.43 with 62.5% completeness. However, it increased in cycle II with an average value of 84.3 with a percentage of classical completeness of 86.78%.

Abstract

Thw first educational institution that was born and colored the life of the Indonesian nation in history was the pesantren. The beginning of the pesantren appeared and developed during the Walisongo era in Java, when Sunan Ampel founded a hermitage in Ampel Surabaya and made it a center of education. Islamic boarding schools are traditional educational institutions based on Islam that can be reached by the people of Indonesia at that time. The pesantren then developed not only specifically for religious education, but also general education, even figures from the pesantren had participated in fighting the invaders in order to create nationalism. Education is the main asset for every nation to open the door to knowledge towards improving the quality of life. Historically, pesantren have certainly fulfilled the noble task of education that gave birth to Islamic intellectuals in Indonesia to this day. Islamic boarding schools can also be expected to become institutions capable of delivering students as the main actors in national development by combining several learning content such as science, technology, art, values, and the environment in the development process of individual societies.

Abstract

Learning basic work in mechanical engineering class X TMP A SMKN 3 Palu shows that student learning outcomes are generally still below the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). This study aimed to determine the increase in student learning outcomes of class X TMP A SMKN 3 Palu by using job sheets in learning basic work techniques. The research subjects were 35 students of class X TMP A SMKN 3 Palu in the 2018/2019 academic year. This research was conducted in 2 cycles and the instruments used were a cognitive test sheet and a practical assessment sheet for psychomotor. Based on the research results obtained in cycle I student learning completeness 71.42% with the number of students who complete learning as many as 25 students. Then completeness of student learning classically increased in cycle II of 94.28% with 33 students who completed learning. Completeness of student learning from cycle I to cycle II has increased by 22.86%. This significant increase indicates that the use of job sheets in learning is quite effective in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine students’ responses to Learning from Home during the corona virus era through distance learning network at SMA Karuna Dipa Palu. The method used was a qualitative method with a descriptive qualitative approach, by distributing questionnaires to 11th and 12th graders at SMA Karuna Dipa Palu. Distance Learning Network was carried out using the Zoom application and WhatsApp Group. The results showed that students gave negative response on Learning From Home through Distance Learning Network because: online learning were not interesting and fun because the material was difficult to understand and cannot work together with friends; the assignments given were in the form of independent work, not in groups so that it was ineffective and inactive. Studying at home was worse than at school, because at home there were many things that can interfere with learning such as slow network connection, blackout, the difficulty in asking questions, some lessons were difficult to understand, lack of guidance from teachers, lots of assignments, limited quota, noisy surroundings and there are some lessons that cannot be practiced. Meanwhile the positive response of students' insights was increasing towards the use of technology in learning and making them more independent, preventing the spread of the corona virus, saving transportation costs and pocket money, being closer to family and can help their parents while studying.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to describe: (1) the type of environmental media used by the teacher as a learning resource in history learning in senior high school 3 Palu; (2) the use of the environment as a learning resource in history learning in senior high school 3 Palu; and (3) Obstacles or constraints felt by the teacher and students in the use of environment-based media as a source of learning history in history learning. The research design used a qualitative approach. Data were collected using the method of observation, interviews and document analysis. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data classification and presentation, and data verification. The subjects in this study were history teachers, wakasesk curriculum, and students of senior high school 3 Palu. The results showed that: (1) environmentally based media used by history teachers as a learning resource for students was an artificial environment, namely the environment of the Watunonju cultural heritage site. (2) history teachers have utilized environment-based media through outing classes, namely visiting the prehistoric site of Watunonju megaliths as a source of historical learning, by carrying out the planning, implementation and follow-up stages (3) perceived constraints include the large number of students so that teachers are less capable control of individual students, the weather was sometimes not supportive for studying outside the classroom, resulting in inefficient time.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in student learning outcomes by applying the Problem Based Learning model to the subjects of the shield metal arc-welding technique in class XI welding SMKN 3 Palu. This classroom action research (CAR) consists of 2 cycles, each of which goes through the stages of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The subjects of this study were 32 students of class XI Las SMKN 3 Palu in the 2018/2019 academic year. The research instrument used was a test. The results of the research in the first cycle, the number of students who completed as many as 20 people with an average learning outcome of 72.06 and a classical percentage of 62.50. There is an increase in cycle II with students who complete learning has increased to 27 students, the average learning outcome is 85 and the classical percentage is 84.37%. There was an increase in the learning outcomes of class XI Las students with an increase in the percentage of 21.87% from cycle I to cycle II. The increase in learning outcomes occurred due to the application of the problem based learning model in the subject of SMAW welding techniques in class XI welding at SMKN 3 Palu.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the meaning of the Padungku tradition as the cultural identity of the community and to describe the meaning of padungku in the socio-religious context. This study used a qualitative research tradition. The unit of analysis in this study was the community in Pamona Pasulemba District, and the informants consisted of nine people, two of whom were bureaucrats, two traditional leaders, five of whom were community members who worked as farmers. Sampling was done by using the snoble sampling technique. Meanwhile, data and information were collected through interviews and documentation. The results showed that: 1) Padungku as the language of cultural identity has developed the meaning of the Peasants' Great Harvest Festival, into an annual celebration that is attended by various segments of society. Padungku also has a meaning as a means of social integration and social acculturation; 2) the animist belief system through the padungku tradition experiences transportation to the belief system according to religious teachings. Religion assesses its contribution to changing people's way of thinking and beliefs, but on the other hand, the padungku tradition also contributes to the activities of religious institutional infrastructure.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in student motivation through the use of Audio Visual learning media in class X A students of SMAN 6 Palu in the 2018/2019 academic year. This study consisted of 2 cycles, each of which went through the planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were 34 students of class X A SMAN 6 Palu. The data collection technique in this study was the observation method to determine the student's learning motivation in Indonesian subjects using audio-visual learning media. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the research, it was found that using audio-visual media could increase the learning motivation of class X A students of SMAN 6 Palu in Indonesian subjects. The data from the first cycle showed that students who have very good learning motivation were 15 people (46.87%), have good motivation were 10 people (31.25%) and have enough motivation as many as 7 people (21.88%). In the second cycle, there were an increase, where students who had very good motivation increased to 30 people (93.75%) and students who had good motivation were 2 people (6.25%).

Abstract

This study aimed to improve student learning outcomes in Business Economics through the application of Project-based Learning methods. This research was classroom action research and was carried out in 2 cycles. The research was carried out in class X BDP 2 at SMK Negeri 1 Bantul from January to April 2020. The number of students involved was 36 people (27 Female and 9 Male). The instruments used in this study were project worksheets, observation sheets, and multiple-choice test questions. Data were analyzed using percentage techniques. Learning success criteria if the percentage of classical completeness is above 75%. The results showed that the percentage of classical learning completeness was 59.4% in cycle 1 and 95.0% in cycle 2. So, the application of the Project-based Learning model can improve student learning outcomes in Business Economics class X BDP 2 SMK N 1 Bantul.
