Abstract

Producing tofu in hamletKanoman uses the same process from soaking soybeans to molding tofu, the only ingredients used are soybean seeds and vinegar or water as a seasoning. The tools used in processing the average for production use selepan which is driven by a motor for the soybean milling process. The purpose of this study was to determine the principles of Islamic production for tofu making in Kanoman, Gagaksipat Village, Ngemplak District, Boyolali Regency. This research is a field research that focuses on tofu production. With data obtained from interviews and observations. The results of data analysis indicate that there is one production that does not meet production standards and the disposal of tofu production waste is dumped into the river becausethe producer does not consider the surrounding environment as a place that must be protected.

Abstract

This research was conducted in an attempt to analyze the teacher’s understanding of School Based Inclusive Curriculum, describe the implementation of School Based Inclusive Curriculum, also to describe the problems encountered by the English teachers in implementing School Based Inclusive Curriculum at SMP Muhammadiyah I Sleman in the academic year 2017/2018.The setting of the research was in seventh and eight grade, and there were two teachers as the subjects. The research used descriptive qualitative method with in three ways collected data by doing the observation, in-depth interview and documentation.This study revealed that the teachers under study needs to improve their understanding of School Based Inclusive Curriculum, their ability in designing English syllabus and lesson plan as well as their ability in implementing School Based Inclusive Curriculum in more contextualized learning activities.The implementation of School Based Inclusive Curriculum at SMP Muhammadiyah I Sleman was succeefully but there were still some weakness and some problems to be solved. And the problems encountered the teachers can be categorized into three types; those are 1) problem in planning, 2) problem in implementing Inclusive Curriculum, 3) problem in evaluation.

Abstract

The International Standard School Pilot Policy (RSBI) in the historical record of Indonesian education is the starting point for changing local mindsets to global mindsets. This policy, in its implementation, faces various challenges, especially the readiness of teachers to carry out the mandate of learning, which must refer to international criteria, and there are still many teachers who do not have that readiness. Therefore, the principal has a heavy responsibility; in addition to managing and developing strategies toward an International Standard School (SBI), he is also responsible for continuously supervising teacher teaching based on international standards. The teaching supervision carried out by the principal is not only to improve the professionalism of teachers but also to ensure that international standards in the learning process are met or even exceeded.

Abstract

In this modern era, many models are offered in teaching English. Apart from a variety of strategies, there are also many media platforms that offer new ways of teaching. LMS base teaching that offers different media and ways of teaching. In this study, researchers describe an online learning concept by increasing the variety of activity models to improve writing skills. This is a concept to improve the usability of LMS in English Learning teaching. In addition to the convenience of controlling student performance, this LMS is a form of advanced teaching application prototype. This concept also offers stakeholders to improve LMS features. Moodle, as an LMS that is commonly used almost all over the world, seems to also offer flexibility in modifying the application.

Abstract

The nutritional needs of pregnant women in each trimester are different, this is adjusted to the growth and development of the fetus and the health of the mother. The purpose of this research was to determine the importance of nutrition for pregnant women. The method used in this research is literature review. Selection of journal articles according to inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. The inclusion criteria in this study included journals on nutrition for pregnant women, pregnant women with anemia, pregnant women with chronic lack of energy, journal articles in the last 5 years. Exclusion criteria included pregnant women who consumed nutritious food. The results of this study found that nutrition in pregnant women can cause disturbances to pregnant women and also the fetus they contain. Nutrition in pregnant women is influenced by knowledge, the higher the knowledge of pregnant women, the lower the risk of pregnant women being affected by disorders during pregnancy, pregnant women should eat a lot of foods that contain protein, vegetables and fruits that contain lots of vitamins. If nutrition is inadequate, it will cause various complications of pregnancy, including anemia, chronic lack of energy, premature birth, low birth weight (LBW), bleeding during delivery and infection.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the English reading skills of ESP students at Raden Mas Said State Islamic University Surakarta. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey instrument as the data collection medium. A total of 127 students were involved in this study. The results show that the level of English reading ability is quite low. Furthermore, students' English reading ability can be seen from their habit of using English. Their perception of writing also shows a low level because their understanding of reading is lacking.

Abstract

Sedan is one of the sub-districts that has the highest level of religious adherence in Rembang Regency and has fanaticism towards female ulama. This study discusses the role of female clerics in influencing rural communities. This study aims to discuss the existence of female ulama, especially in the village in influencing the community in deciding their religious actions because of the authority that these female ulama has. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach. The analysis and data collection process was carried out by observation and interviews with informants whose backgrounds were female ulama who preached, young women, middle-aged women, all of whom came from rural areas. The activity started with the preaching activities of female ulama, efforts to approach rural communities, and paying attention to washatiyah through their preaching methods. From this research it is known that in the rural area, female ulama have an important influence as evidenced by the high number of rural people who come every preaching of female ulama, people often turn to female ulama in determining their main decisions related to religious matters, so that women ulama are very entrusted with rural community activities. This has a positive impact on the community with the ease with which the community makes religious decisions because of the existence and authority of female ulama in the midst of rural communities.

Abstract

This study discusses the history of the development of the Ibn Abbas As-Salafy Islamic Boarding School at Sragen, Cental Java, Indonesia which began with a discussion of history, dynamics and contributions to the religious field of the Boarding School from 2006 to 2020. The author uses historical research methods by selecting themes or topics, heuristics, source criticism, interpretation and historiography or historical writing. The research outlines historical facts that focus on primary data in the form of archives, written documents, and interviews with historical actors and witnesses and supported by relevant literature. The results of this study described the dynamics and contribution of the boarding school to the religious education of the Beku village community. The Boarding School experienced three periods of development. The journey began at the pioneering stage in 2000-2005, then continued in 2006-2012, which was a period of pesantren development, and in 2013-2020, it became the peak period which was marked by the progress of the education and infrastructure program of the Boarding School. The Boarding School has become a place for students to build a generation of Quranic memorizers and memorizers of the Qur'an. In addition, it has had a positive impact on the people of Beku village. The positive impact is in the form of forming a religious society in accordance with the Qur'an and as Sunnah through community education organized by the pesantren.

Abstract

Financial concerns, social-economic problems, time constraints, and added by the Covid-19 pandemic are some of the reasons why students can not join a student exchange program. One of the alternatives to those obstacles is a Virtual Exchange (VE) Program, where students conduct the program online from their home country. This study aims to find out what are the challenges that students have to face during their VE, and how they are dealing with those dares. This study uses qualitative methods by semi-structured interviews to add the research references of this study. In addition, the interview was conducted with four correspondents from two different VE programs. The findings confirm that students do find some challenges during their VE program. The challenges that occur from the students themselves, the classes, or even from their home university. The results also found that students need to do, and find a certain way to deal with those challenges. Based on this phenomenon, it is better for students to prepare and consider themselves before joining a VE program.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of religiosity (intellectual, ideological, public practice, private practice, and religious experience) and perceived social support (family, friends, and significant others) on psychological well-being. Respondents in this study were 195 people aged 18-21 years, who were teenagers who had lost their parents due to Covid-19, either their mother, father or both, and who live in Greater Jakarta. The questionnaire in this study used measuring instruments adapted from the Scale of Psychological Well-Being (SPWB), Centrality of Religiosity Scale (CRS), and Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MPSS). This study uses a quantitative approach, where the validity of each item in the instrument is tested using confirmatory factor analysis (LISREL Software) and the influence of each independent variable on the dependent variable is seen through multiple regression tests (SPSS Software). The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence between religiosity and perceived social support variables on psychological well-being variables. The influence of all independent variables (IV) on the dependent variable (DV) is 53.1% and 46.9% is influenced by other variables outside this study. Variables that significantly influence psychological well-being are intellectual, religious experience, and friends.
