Abstract

FDD (Frequency Division Duplexing) and TDD (Time Division Duplexing) Technology I is a duplex technology on the 4G LTE network. FDD technology in Indonesia is deployed in the 900 MHz, 1800 MHz and 2100 MHz frequency bands. Meanwhile, TDD technology uses frequency of 2300 MHz. In order to see the performance from the side of coverage, a measurement of the signal strength is conducted by direct measurements in field so that the appropriate technology and frequency band can be determined for the measurement area. The measurements have been done by two samples of different frequencies, namely 1800 MHz for FDD and 2300 MHz for TDD. Measurement of coverage is conducted on the same existing BTS and different BTS for both FDD and TDD modes. The parameter used in this measurement is the RSRQ value as one of the basic parameters of KPI (Key Performance Indicator). The results of drivetest data obtained the farthest coverage area of 789 m, namely the FDD (Frequency Division Duplexing) technology with frequency of 1800 MHz and TDD with frequency of 2300 MHz for 633 m.

Abstract

Vapor absorption refrigeration system (VARS) is one of the emerging technology in thermal-driven refrigeration systems and has too many benefits in comparison with another cooling system as their performance is good and the cost is low. Different mathematical models of various complexities have been developed for performance analysis, optimization, and design of such systems. In this study energy and exergy of a single effect LiBr vapor absorption refrigeration system is analyzed with different mathematical model developed so far. The effect of varying the temperature for each component of the system on the coefficient of performance (COP) and exergetic efficiency (COPex) is briefly discussed. The results show that increasing generator temperature from 86oc to 102oc for constant refrigerant mass flow rate causes COP of the system to increase, due to the decrease in circulation ratio. In another case, increasing the evaporator temperature from 2oc to 14oc for a constant temperature input of the generator has a positive effect on both the first and second law efficiency of the VARS as the load on the generator decrease. From the result, it can also be concluded that increasing absorber temperature has a negative impact on both COP and exergetic efficiency of VARS.

Abstract

Malaysia Chinese Muslim Associate (MACMA), is an organization that manage the Chinese Muslim community in Malaysia. As one part of MACMA Malaysia, MACMA Negeri Sembilan has the responsibility to manage event and monitor each of their members in the state. However, there are challenges and problems due to the current situation as only two persons involve in the management and administration of the organization. Thus, MACMA membership Management System is developed to manage the organization with more convenient and systematic way. The proposed web based system is equipped with QR Code technology. The QR Code generator was used to record the member attendance in every event organized by MACMA. This system also has plug and play capabilities to ease its implementation. The test result shows that all requirements were fulfilled and the system functioning as expected. Thus, it is hoped that the system can be beneficial and might be implemented to help in the management of other MACMA organization in the other states in Malaysia.

Abstract

Agriculture is a globally important occupation. Food is a fundamental need for all living things on the earth, hence it plays a significant role. As a result, agricultural product quality has to be improved. Paddy is susceptible to a variety of illnesses, just like all other crops. Diseases vary by region and season. Despite the fact that the number of new technologies being implemented in agriculture is rapidly expanding, farmers in our nation continue to rely on old methods for disease detection. Machine learning relies heavily on features to classify images. The advancement of the deep convolutional neural network paves the path for disease detection in rice based on deep characteristics, with the expectation of excellent yields. Field photos of four forms of rice leaf diseases, including bacterial leaf blight, brown spot, leaf smut, and tungro, were introduced using this proposed method. The model is trained using the deep CNN classification technique. The pre-trained ResNet-50 model is also included to increase the model's prediction accuracy. Existing approaches are outperformed by the combination of Deep CNN and ResNet-50. Accuracy was used as a criterion for evaluating performance.

Abstract

Class imbalance is a severe problem in classification due to the deep slope on the class axis. The dataset is dominated by the majority class, which has the potential for misclassification. Another problem in classification and clustering is that high-dimensional datasets are found that have the potential to affect the performance of classification algorithms in terms of computation and accuracy. In this study, the class imbalance was handled using the ADASYN k - NN resampling technique and the selection feature using Information Gain. Based on the evaluation results, the sampling contribution matrix can improve the classification model by improving the geometric mean value. The selection feature helps interpret data with more simple features but can reduce the accuracy of the results. The results showed that the implementation of ADASYN k-NN and Information Gain could increase the accuracy score and geometric mean score of Decision Tree C4.5 and Naive Bayes. For further work, this proposed method will be tested on multiclass imbalanced datasets.

Abstract

A handover strategy is required to ensure connection continuity for cellular network users due to user mobility. Handovers on the same frequency (intra-frequency) and handovers on other frequencies (inter-frequencies) are conceivable in the Intra Radio Access Technology network. The network must be able to give the best quality and optimal bandwidth so that consumers can keep their connection. Most cells have more than one bandwidth channel. A test was performed in this study to determine the influence of priority handover on intra-frequency LTE handover on signal strength and throughput. This study is based on actual measurement findings from the deployed 4G LTE network transceiver device, which contains several carriers for each eNodeB. TEMS Pocket, a mobile gadget, was used to collect data for measurements. For analysis purposes, the parameters RSRP, throughput, frequency band, serving cell identification or PCI (Physical Cell Identity), and event handover are employed. In the inter-frequency LTE handover, there are two priority handovers: handovers from lower bands to higher bands (high priority) and handovers from higher bands to lower bands (low priority). When a low-priority handover happens, the RSRP value and throughput increase, while a high-priority handover causes the RSRP value to decrease.

Abstract

Vista Angkasa Apartment is one of the oldest apartments in the Bangsar South area, with a total of 8 blocks and consisting of more than 1000 units of houses. Currently, all the transaction related to the maintenance of each apartment is recorded manually. It is very difficult to manage all the data manually and if some information is required urgently then to obtain it also is very difficult. It will not only take a lot of time, but it also increases the chances of errors. Therefore, to solve the issues faced, an apartment management system that allows management staff to view the apartment’s data and tenant’s data as well as maintenance requests, notices and complaints has been developed. It also increases the efficiency and the effectiveness of Vista Angkasa Apartment Management by eliminating the current manual system. Compilation of data can be done easily with just a click of mouse. The methodology that has been applied to develop the system will be Agile with the PHP programming language. The developed system has successfully tested with the real time data at the Vista Angkasa Apartment. Based on the obtained results, the Vista Angkasa Apartment Management System solved the current issues with the management office and tenants.

Abstract

Electromyography (EMG) is a signal produced by human muscles when they contract or relax. This signal is widely used as a controller, for example, to control a robotic arm. This study aims to identify the pattern of finger movement in the form of finger movement using a bracelet-shaped device that has eight EMG sensors. This tool is placed on the lower right hand of a subject to get a signal from the EMG. This study uses the support vector machine (SVM) algorithm combined with the particle swarm optimization (PSO) method. For pattern recognition, the properties of the signal in the time domain are used. From this system, the success of pattern recognition is between 68% to 86%.
