Abstract

The creative industry is a business activity that focuses on creation and innovation which must always be improved and developed in all regions in Indonesia, because it is rich in culture and natural resources. One example is RT 03 RW 14 Sawojajar Sekarpuro Village, Pakis Subdistrict, which has creative activities, where each resident is required to plant figs and process them. So far, residents still do not know the products that can be produced from tin fruit and the processing stages, all that has been done is making tea bags, but the results obtained are not as expected. The aim of this service is to provide assistance and training for residents of Sawojajar RT 03 RW 14 in processing various foods from fruit and drinks from Tin leaves and transfer of appropriate technology in the process to produce superior products from commercial Tin fruit. The implementation method that will be used is assistance in making products for PKK groups of women who are divided into 5 (five) small groups, mentoring and training for processing into products, assistance in the use of drying equipment, packaging and marketing. From the mentoring and training that has been carried out by the ITN Malang Community Service Team, it has had a significant impact, namely that residents gain knowledge and practice directly the processing of Tin fruit into various processed products and operating equipment in making Tin leaf tea and increasing economic value because residents have produce products and sell them to the public.

Abstract

The use of plastic is widely known in everyday life, with a variety of advantages (light but strong, transparent, waterproof, low price). But besides having advantages, conventional plastics also have disadvantages, namely that they are difficult to decompose and pollute the environment when they burn. The need to reduce the use of conventional plastics and replace them with the use of bioplastics in the community is still often socialized, one of which is to students at SMA Nasional Malang. The aim of training and socializing environmentally friendly bioplastics is so that students can reduce the use of conventional plastics and switch to using environmentally friendly products, as well as being able to make bioplastic products. The result of the bioplastic making training is that students are able to make eating and drinking utensils made from bioplastics with various models they like. Through socialization, students began to change their lifestyle by reducing the use of conventional plastics and switching to using environmentally friendly products. To better understand the dangers of conventional plastics to the environment, students compared the biodegradability of conventional plastics and bioplastics. The result is that bioplastics break down faster than conventional plastics. Knowledge of bioplastics and their raw materials is new to them. From the questionnaire, it was found that Malang National Senior High School students were very interested in the training provided, some wanted to make various bioplastic product creations independently and hoped that there would be other training to help students develop their knowledge and creativity.

Abstract

In making tempeh, the fermentation process is an important process. The fermentation process of tempeh really determines the quality of the tempe produced. In the conventional method, the temperature and humidity in the tempe fermentation process are not regulated, so the fermentation results are strongly influenced by the weather. In general, the fermentation process for tempeh takes about one and a half days. With technological advances in electronics, temperature and humidity can be controlled according to the desired range. By utilizing temperature and humidity controllers in the tempe fermentation process, the time of making tempe can be accelerated without reducing the quality of the tempe produced. From the test results, it was found that the controller was able to maintain an average temperature of 37.63 0C, an average humidity of 57.46%, and was able to accelerate the fermentation process of tempeh within 24 hours with an average power consumption of 212.27 Watt and used to produce tempe for small scale tempe craftsmen.

Abstract

Development in the current development sector has grown rapidly, in this development we can see a good potential to be developed, namely the development of bricks with good quality compared to using red bricks which production takes a long time. Batako is an alternative that can be used in the construction of a building, because currently the price of red brick is quite high because the production cost is quite expensive. Besides, the price of firewood used for cooking red brick is getting difficult. Meanwhile, the demand for brick gradually increased because brick was one of the main components in building construction. So it needs to be developed in making brick blocks because the time is relatively short in the drying process. Therefore the community service team made a brick making machine with a vibration system for compaction and a faster production process in brick making using a machine that has been made, so that it can increase partner income, who previously produced 120 pieces with a manual system using a machine that could produce 500 pieces of brick per day.

Abstract

Free-range chicken farming is a promising business, because the need for animal protein, especially chicken meat and eggs, is still quite high in the community. In order to meet these needs, of course, it must be balanced with an optimal maintenance process in order to produce chicken meat and eggs continuously. The problems in the field show that, the process of incubating chicken eggs is still carried out conventionally with a fairly small success rate, and the chicken egg incubator that has been made by one of the chicken breeders has very minimal technological touch, where the egg turning process is still using hands which is done regularly The unavailability of measuring and controlling the temperature and humidity of the incubator, the incandescent lamp used as a chicken egg heater still relies on a source of electricity from PLN, of course this will reduce the profit margin to be obtained. The service activity that will be carried out is the application of automatic chicken egg incubator technology with independent electrical energy sources in the form of solar power plant technology (PLTS) in the native chicken farmer business group in Sungai Ulin Village, Banjarbaru City. It is hoped that with this community service activity, the knowledge and interest of chicken breeders about the application of chicken egg incubator technology and PLTS technology will increase, so that it can save production costs and increase the amount of income.

Abstract

CV. Kajeye Food is a company engaged in food processing, namely fruit and vegetable chips, with the increase in jackfruit production from year to year will be directly proportional to the productivity of jackfruit waste. Currently the disposal of jackfruit straw waste is a problem for CV. Kajeye Food, for that we need counseling and training in making reducing sugar which is the basic ingredient of bioethaniol. Jackfruit straw is the part of the jackfruit that does not experience pollination in the form of yellow fibers. Jackfruit straw has a composition consisting of 13.45% starch, 65.05% water. This material can be converted to bioethanol through hydrolysis and fermentation processes. One of the best efforts to treat jackfruit skin waste is by making the potential content of jackfruit straw starch can be used as an alternative fuel, namely, bioethanol. The processing of jackfruit often causes waste, from the total weight of jackfruit as much as 65-80% can become waste. Jackfruit straw occupies a fairly large portion, namely 40-50% of the total waste produced. Jackfruit straw contains carbohydrates in the form of sugar, nutritional content such as in jackfruit and cellulose.

Abstract

The increasing consumption of news and information that is widespread throughout the city has made used newspaper waste become abundant, due to the lack of attention from the public and the government. In fact, used newspaper waste can be processed into a product that has high economic value. The amount of paper or newspaper waste itself should be an opportunity to get extra income that can be obtained by local residents, one of which is a biocomposite material that can be used for handicraft products and other accessories. Efforts to empower the potential of housewives should be something that needs to be done, especially for those who depend on their family's economic income only on their husbands. As happened in Kelurahan Tasikmadu Malang, most of the housewives there have not even realized their potential. That reason is the background for the implementation of counseling on the use of newspaper biocomposite which aims to motivate and explore the potential of housewives in Kelurahan Tasikmadu Malang, especially in the neighborhood of RT 1 RW 4 Tasikmadu. With this training, it is hoped that mothers can gain knowledge and skills so that they can be applied in real life. The end result hopes that this activity can contribute to mothers to improve family welfare.

Abstract

A computer-based financial management system is an urgent matter, so that it can help SMEs in running a business with easy and good financial management. One of them is UKM Ramesta, which still uses traditional management systems, so that they do not yet have a financial management system that meets accounting standards. Based on the problems faced by UKM Ramesta, it is necessary to provide training for UKM partners on financial management based on Microsoft Access using the Cashflow Simplebook software. The purpose of this activity is for SMEs to experience increased performance and business competitiveness. Implementation methods in solving problems with UKM Ramesta partners, including: problem identification, problem solution, discussion of the Ramesta UKM implementation team and partners, training on Microsoft Access-based SME financial management systems, evaluating the use of simplebook cashflow software for SME financial management. The conclusion of this activity is to increase the ability and knowledge of UKM Ramesta partners in managing the financial system, the use of the Cashflow Simplebook application helps UKM Ramesta in preparing better financial reports.

Abstract

The deficit of soybean in Indonesia is estimated at 226% by 2019 (Preliminary Study of the National Medium Term Development Plan / RPJMN, Directorate of Food and Agriculture, 2013: 169). In Indonesia, soybeans are a strategic food commodity, in third place after rice and maize. Every day, soybeans are consumed by almost all people. Soybean consumption in Indonesia averages 8.22 kg / capita / year (Directorate of Food and Agriculture, 2014: 6). On the one hand, Indonesia is currently the 6th largest soybean producing country in the world (Heriyanto, 2012: 116 and the Center for Agricultural Data and Information Systems, 2014: 36). On the other hand, Indonesia is the 9th largest soybean importer country in the world (Center for Agricultural Data and Information Systems, 2013: 36). ). BATAN assesses that imported soybeans other than transgenic, the levels are left behind, may be taken by their country of origin or because they have taken too long to travel (Directorate of Food and Agriculture. 2013: 154). The purpose of this community service is to invite the community to produce domestically produced soybeans so that the need for soybeans can be met, but not from imports. Can change the mindset of soybean farmers not to change to other crop commodities, especially plants with lower protein value and less benefit. Inviting the community / farmers to change the function of the land or use the land. The service was carried out by applying 5 superior seeds planted under the sengon tree using the intercropping method. Processing and data analysis using experimental design, which is in accordance with the treatment. In the cultivation of domestically produced soybeans, many varieties have been found, so the model used is random, meaning that the conclusion applies to all other domestically produced soybean varieties. The research was carried out in areas with high soybean consumption but very little production, among others in Malang (Malang Regency). The results of the analysis using a subsampling block design with a random model for the treatment of varieties with the planting location under the sengon tree in Pulung dowo village, Tumpang sub-district, Malang district.

Abstract

On the northeast coast of Sidoarjo Regency, East Java, most people carry out smoking business activities and have become a superior product for Sidoarjo Regency. The delicacy of smoked milkfish from the area which is the gateway to East Java Province is produced only from freshly caught fish. Fish are cultivated by paying attention to good water circulation so that they do not smell like the soil. Not only that, to produce savory smoked fish, fish must be processed traditionally, only with natural ingredients. The smoked fish craftsmen have fully memorized these conditions and guarded them for the continuity of their business. Smoked fish business centers in Sidoarjo are scattered in Sedati and Tanggulangin Districts. However, the largest is in Penatarsewu Village, Tanggulangin District. Processed fish is not limited to milkfish, but almost all types of fish caught in the sea and cultivated, such as tilapia, catfish and tuna. Different from the character of the village in general, almost every resident's house in Penatarsewu has a burning chimney. Some of the chimneys were made of iron, but others were constructed of red bricks mixed with sand and cement.
