Abstract

Tanaman jahe membutuhkan berbagai jenis unsur hara dalam jumlah yang cukup untuk pertumbuhan dan perkembangannya, baik tergolong unsur hara makro maupun mikro. Pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tanaman jahe dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor diantaranya faktor tanah dan faktor lingkungan (intensitas cahaya). Tanah gambut memiliki tingkat kesuburan rendah yang ditandai dengan kandungan unsur hara makro dan mikro yang rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari jenis pupuk kandang, intensitas naungan yang paling baik serta interaksi antara intensitas naungan dan jenis pupuk kandang terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil jahe di lahan gambut. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terbagi. Sebagai petak utama adalah Intensitas naungan (N) terdiri dari 6 taraf perlakuan dan Jenis Pupuk Kandang (P) sebagai anak petak (Sub Plot) yang terdiri dari 3 taraf perlakuan. Setiap kombinasi perlakuan diulang sebanyak tiga kali dengan 6 tanaman sampel setiap bedengan. Perlakuan yang dimaksud adalah : faktor intensitas naungan (N) terdiri dari : n1 = naungan 50%, n2 = naungan 60%, n3 = naungan 70%, n4 = naungan 80%, n5 = naungan 90%, n6 = naungan 100%. Faktor kedua jenis pupuk kandang (P) terdiri dari : p1 =  pupuk kandang sapi, p2 =  pupuk kandang ayam, p3 =  pupuk kandang kambing. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perlakuan naungan hanya berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman umur tanaman 1 BST,dan perlakuan pupuk hanya berpengaruh nyata terhadap berat kering tanaman umur 4 dan 5 BST. Tidak terjadi interaksi antara perlakuan naungan dan jenis pupuk kandang di semua perlakuan variabel pengamatan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the parameters of free fatty acids in PT. As long as Intisurya Mulia, the Mulia Oil Mill factory is within quality control limits based on the X-bar and R-bar control chart, looking for factors that affect the value of CPO (Crude Palm Oil) free fatty acid content in production oil, as well as seeking solutions to the problem causes increase in the quality of free fatty acids. The test results using the control chart (control chart) obtained the results of the X-bar and R-bar control chart, on the X-bar control chart there is data that crosses the lower control limit, and the results data outside the upper control limits. The results of the quality of free fatty acids, there are data that are outside the control limits. Whereas the R-bar control limit states that the free fatty acid content in the production oil is still under control, because all data is still within the control limit R and there is no data outside the upper control limit or lower control limit.

Abstract

This study aims to calculate the added value of processed corn products and to design a technically and financially feasible corn yogurt processing industry in Ketapang district. This study used a descriptive research method conducted in a survey with a population originating from sweet corn producers. The research location was conducted in Kalinilam village, southern Delta Pawan district, Ketapang district. The business unit analysis uses the Total Cost formula while the financial feasibility analysis uses the B / C ratio. The results of the technical and financial studies planning for the sweet corn yogurt industry are obtained by designing a small-scale corn yogurt processing unit with a production capacity of 400 kg/month or 2400 bottles/month. Economic analysis shows that to establish a corn yogurt processing unit requires a total investment capital of Rp. 113,723,712, -. The total production cost is Rp. 207,592,666.- with the cost of production (HPP) per bottle (100 ml) Rp. 7,208, - and the selling price of the product per bottle is Rp. 10,000 with a profit margin of 40%. The industrial feasibility test results obtained IRR value 38.316%, NPV Rp. 353,405,180, Payback Period is 1.85 years, with BEP of 9,022 units, B / C ratio of 1.43, and net R / C of 1.40. The result of this study is the feasibility of technical and financial of small-scale industrial corn yogurt processing units are feasible.

Abstract

Liquid fertilizer is a fertilizer whose basic ingredients come from animals or plants that have undergone fermentation and the form of the product is in the form of a liquid. Kepok banana peel is one of the basic ingredients used for the manufacture of liquid fertilizer because it contains macro elements N, P, and K. this study aimed to determine the nutrients contained in the liquid fertilizer from barangan banana peels. This research was conducted by mixing brown sugar, water, and the effectiveness of microorganisms (EM4) with the fixed variables used were banana peels. The method used in this study was to mix 80 grams of brown sugar, 1 liter of water, and the effectiveness of microorganisms (EM4) with a variation of the composition of 200 ml, 300 ml and 400 ml with the fixed variable used was banana peels. The parameters observed were pH, yield, and total N. The results showed that the liquid fertilizer produced had a pH of 4 liquid fertilizer, the yields obtained from the 3 treatments were 2.4%, 2.5%, and 2.6%. While the total N content from the analysis process was 1.26%, 2.38, and 4.48.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the determinant factors of the competitiveness of aloe vera agroindustry and formulate priority strategies to improve the competitiveness of aloe vera agroindustry in Pontianak Municipality. The study was conducted in Pontianak Municipality as a center of production of Aloe vera in Indonesia. Primary data were collected from processing aloe vera in the packaging and experts from academia and bureaucracy by conducting interviews and questionnaires, while secondary data sourced from CBS, Ministry of Industry, Department of Agriculture, and Aloe Vera Center. The research objectives were answered by using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) with used Porter's Diamond approaches. Data was obtained from expert by filling out a questionnaire in the form of pairwise comparisons assessment, and it was processed by using Expert Choice software. The AHP analysis results showed that the factors determining the competitiveness of aloe vera the agroindustries with the highest weight are the demand condition factor (0.420) and the condition of resources (0.300). Priority strategies that can be done is to manufacture products in accordance with market demand for quality local, national and international (0.196), and creating innovation products for all segments of demand (0.190). Actors who play role directly in an attempt to increase the competitiveness of the aloe vera agroindustries in Pontianak Municipality is private sector such as entrepreneurs and aloe vera farmers (0.634). To achieved the competitiveness improvement of aloe vera agroindustry in Pontianak Municipality, can be repairs such as the quality and type of product, packaging design, and market segments, with the way local government is actively provide guidance and training to the processing of aloe vera and support the establishment of cooperative aloe vera in Pontianak

Abstract

As perishable food, the sterilization process in milk was essential to obtain long shelf life. In industry, sterilization process was performed using high temperature in very short time. This process was known as Ultra High Temperature (UHT). UHT sterilization process could be done with Tubular Heat Exchanger (THE) or Plate Heat Exchanger (PHE). This research was aimed to compare the heat transfer rate from THE and PHE in PT.ZYX milk sterilization plant. Based on analysis, heat transfer rate of PHE was higher than THE. Both of them were using hot water as medium. The simulation with steam as heat transfer medium showed that the heat transfer rate was not much different with hot water in THE.

Abstract

Opak (cassava crackers) in general contains a lot of carbohydrates. To increase the nutritional value of opak, one of them is by adding trash fish which is quite rich in protein. This study aims to determine the effect of adding trash fish with different concentrations in the manufacture of opak crackers on the physicochemical properties. This study used an experimental method with a RAL experimental design in a laboratory. Sensory testing found that the more concentration of trash fish added, the more favored the panelists with the R3 treatment on average received. Tests for protein and water content produced linear data. The more fish content, the higher the protein content and water content. The highest water and protein content in the R4 treatment was 12.58% and 6.91%, respectively. The highest swelling power (except the control) in treatment R2 was 81.16%, while the least absorption in treatment R4 was 14.11%. These results indicated that the addition of trash fish had a significant effect on the physicochemical properties of opak

Abstract

CV TSR is one of the industries that produces Etawa goat's milk with some processing carried out manually, especially in the drying process when milk is mixed with sugar and heated in the traditional way, because it does not involve a heating process with a machine so there will be a possibility of uneven heat, skill differences between workers can also cause the rate of evaporation from one pan to another is different. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out heavy observations in order to guarantee product quality and minimize non-conformance to the SOPs that have been determined, especially in the process of receiving raw materials up to the production process. Abstract

Ice cream is a dairy product that is based on milk and has a high fat and protein content, but low in fiber. Therefore, in this study, black soybeans and aloe vera were added as a source of fiber. This study used an experimental descriptive design using 3 formulas with differences in the addition of aloe vera, namely F1 (3 g), F2 (5 g) and F3 (7 g), where the test conducted in this study was an organoleptic test using 35 panelists. The results of the Anova test for the third hedonic test of the formula obtained the results of No Real Difference, where all three formulas were favored by panelists. From this study, it is expected that there will be further tests related to fiber analysis in black soybean ice cream and aloe vera.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the chemical characteristics of the rice moisture contents as well as consumer's acceptance of Agro rice, Siam rice, and coriander rice in Benua Kayong district, Ketapang regency. The method used in this research is the usage of the Grain Moisture Tester device, which serves as a tool for measuring moisture content, and also aid in analysis of organoleptic scoring tests on color observation parameters done by 25 untrained panelists. According to the analysis results of the moisture contents, the rice that scored the lowest in terms of moisture content is coriander rice sold in Mr. Zain's shop (11,1%), and the highest is Pulen Kampung rice sold in Mrs. Noliya's shop (15,4%). Meanwhile, the results of the organoleptic scoring test on the parameters for observing the color of rice, the best result was found in Agro rice sold in Ari's shop with the score of 7,92 (bright white), and the rice with the lowest score is Sumpit rice sold in Nando's shop with the score of 5,68 (light gray).
