Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan penerapan, kendala, solusi, serta perilaku yang ditunjukkan peserta didik dalam penerapan pendidikan karakter peduli sosial dan toleransi peserta didik di Sekolah Dasar Negeri (SDN) di Surabaya, Indonesia. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumen. Teknik analisis data prosedur Miles and Huberman. Hasil penelitian yang ditemukan meliputi: 1) penerapan, dengan menggabungkan peserta didik normal dan inklusi ke dalam kelas reguler dan pengembangan, serta diskusi kelompok. Membiasakan dan memberikan contoh melakukan aksi sosial, menasihati agar saling menyayangi, menghormati dan menghargai; 2) kendala dan solusinya, peserta didik inklusi kesulitan dalam mengikuti pembelajaran, jika merasa bosan jalan-jalan, mengganggu teman, menangis, menyakiti, bertengkar, dan kurangnya GPK untuk peserta didik inklusi. Cara mengatasinya, peserta didik normal membimbing temannya inklusi, mengajak duduk, jalan-jalan di luar kelas, menenangkan, memberikan nasihat. Keterlibatan guru pendamping dalam membimbing peserta didik inklusi; 3) sikap peduli sosial dan toleransi yang ditunjukkan peserta didik, yaitu berbagi, mengucapkan terima kasih, meminjamkan barang, minta maaf, membantu, menghormati dan menghargai, serta menyayangi. ABSTRACT This study aimed to describe the application, constraints, solutions, and behaviors shown by students in the application of character education for social care and tolerance at State Elementary Schools (SDN) in Surabaya, Indonesia. The study used a qualitative approach by employing observation, interviews, and documents to collect the data. The data were, then, analyzed by Miles and Huberman’s procedures. The findings showed: 1) application, by combining normal and inclusion students into regular and development classes, as well as group discussions. Familiarize and provide examples of social action, advise to love, respect, and appreciate each other; 2) constraints and solutions, inclusion students have difficulty following learning, if they feel bored traveling, disturb friends, cry, hurt, fight, and lack GPK for inclusive students. The way to overcome this, normal students guide their inclusion friends, invite them to sit down, take a walk outside the classroom, calm down, give advice. The involvement of assistant teachers in guiding inclusive students; 3) the attitude of social care and tolerance shown by students, namely sharing, saying thanks, lending goods, apologizing, helping, respecting and appreciating, and cherishing. Abstract

This study aimed to describe the improvement of the process and learning achievement of write poetry using acrostic techniques for students of second grades of Senior High School (SMA) in Makassar. This study employed action research conducted in two cycles, each cycle through several stages, namely: (1) planning; (2) implementation; (3) observation; and (4) reflection. The research subjects were forty students and one teacher of Indonesian language in Makassar. Observation and writing poetry assignments were used to collect the data. Overall data obtained were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. Qualitative analysis was utilized to analyze the findings from observations of the teacher’s action and student activities, while quantitative analysis is used to analyze the student achievement on writing skills. The findings showed that (1) the learning activities to write poetry had increased by using the acrostic method which was shown in the activeness of students in all learning steps; and (2) the use of the acrostic method improved the ability to write poetry by concerning the improvement of students’ score according to the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). In cycle I, students who got score ≥70 were only 19.23% and in cycle II, the students who achieved KKM increased 96.15%. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan proses dan hasil belajar menulis puisi dengan teknik akrostik pada siswa kelas X Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) di Makassar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus, setiap siklus melalui beberapa tahap yaitu: (1) perencanaan; (2) pelaksanaan; (3) observasi; dan (4) refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa dan guru bahasa Indonesia di Makassar, yang berjumlah 40 orang siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan pemberian tugas menulis puisi. Keseluruhan data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Analisis kualitatif digunakan untuk menganalisis hasil observasi kegiatan guru dan siswa sedangkan analisis kuantitatif digunakan untuk menganalisis hasil kemampuan menulis puisi siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran menulis puisi mengalami peningkatan pembelajaran menulis puisi dengan teknik akrostik yang ditunjukkan pada keaktifan siswa dalam semua langkah pembelajaran; dan (2) penggunaan teknik akrostik dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi dengan melihat perubahan jumlah siswa yang memeroleh nilai sesuai dengan kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM), 70. Pada siklus I, siswa yang memeroleh nilai ≥70 hanya 19,23% dan pada siklus II jumlah siswa yang mencapai nilai KKM yakni 96,15%. KATA KUNCI: menulis puisi, akrostik, kriteria ketuntasan minimal

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out: (1) the effect of the problem based learning (PBL) model on learning outcomes on the subject of circulatory for fifth grade elementary school (SD) students in Surabaya; (2) Student activity in applying the PBL model on learning outcomes on the subject of circulatory for fifth grade elementary school (SD) students in Surabaya. This study was a quasi experimental design type of posttest-only control design (nonequivalent control group design). The population of this study were students of class V SD in Surabaya, using the cluster sampling technique (area sampling), the sample class V A was selected as the control class and class V B as the experimental class. Data collection techniques used tests as the main data supported by student observation sheets. The data analysis technique used parametric inferential statistics with the help of SPSS version 16.0 software. These results were: (1) the implementation of PBL models in the activities of fifth grade elementary school students is categorized as very good. (2) Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 <0.05, thus Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted, the research could be stated that there was an effect of the PBL model on learning outcomes on the subject of circulatory for grade V of SD students. ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) Pengaruh model problem based learning (PBL) terhadap hasil belajar materi peredaran darah pada siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar (SD) di Surabaya; (2) Aktivitas siswa dalam penerapan model PBL pada pembelajaran IPA materi peredaran darah siswa kelas V SD. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi experimental design tipe posttest-only control design (nonequivalent control group design). Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD di Surabaya, dengan mengunakan teknik Cluster sampling (area sampling) terpilih sampel kelas V A sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas V B sebagai kelas eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes sebagai data utama dengan didukung lembar observasi peserta didik. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistic inferensial parametrik dengan berbantuan software SPSS versi 16.0. Hasil ini dibuktikan dengan: (1) Pelaksanaan model pembelajaran PBL pada aktivitas siswa kelas V SD dikategorikan sangat baik. (2) Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05 dengan demikian Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima, penelitian dapat dinyatakan ada pengaruh model PBL learning terhadap hasil belajar materi peredaran darah pada siswa kelas V SD. Abstract

The study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of the Dart game in teaching writing descriptive text. Pre-experimental research in the form of one group pre-test and post-test design was employed. The sample was selected through cluster random technique toward one of State Senior High School (SMAN) in west Borneo, Indonesia. Writing pre-test and post-test were conducted to gather the data. The data were, then, analyzed by using descriptive statistics. The result indicated that the Dart game was positively effective to teach the descriptive text. It is recommended that teachers should be aware that the use of Dart games does not necessarily guarantee better performance among EFL students when it comes to writing descriptive text. Therefore, they should create a language learning environment in which they encourage students to write in the target language to improve the quality of their writing.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the selection of learning models that do not attract the attention of elementary school students and the amount of material that requires students to memorize it. This study aims to describe the implementation of the make a match model in the activities of educators and students in social studies learning and describe the learning outcomes of applying the make a match model. The research conducted was descriptive quantitative research. The population in this study were all grade 5 students. The sample used was all students of class V, amounting to 27 students. Data collection techniques in this study were observation and learning achievement tests. Data analysis techniques in this study using the percentage formula. Based on the results of research using the make a match learning model, it is known that the activities of educators are included in very good criteria, the activities of learners include very good criteria, and for completeness of learning outcomes get very good categories. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pemilihan model pembelajaran yang kurang menarik perhatian peserta didik khususnya tingkat sekolah dasar (SD) serta banyaknya materi yang menuntut peserta didik untuk menghafalkannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan model make a match pada aktivitas pendidik dan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) serta mendeskripskan hasil belajar dari penerapan model make a match. Penelitian yang dilakukan ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas V. Sampel yang digunakan adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas V yang berjumlah 27 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi dan tes hasil belajar. Teknik analisis data yang dalam penelitian ini menggunakan rumus persentase. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran make a match diketahui bahwa aktivitas pendidik termasuk kriteria sangat baik, aktivitas peserta didik termasuk kriteria samgat baik, serta untuk ketuntasan hasil belajar mendapatkan kategori sangat baik. Abstract

This study was conducted based on the reality in the field, where students did not master the ability to speak Bahasa Indonesia for example in the form of submitting an opinion. The learning model was a way that teachers use to realize the learning strategies that had been set. In this study, researchers used a multiliterate model to determine students' ability in speaking skills. By using a multiliterate model in improving speaking skills students can develop sentences by pouring out the ideas or ideas that are in their mind. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the multiliterate model on speaking skills in fourth-grade students in one of the elementary schools in Surabaya. This research is a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental design with a post-test-only design. The research sample of grade IV students, totaling 35 students, was used simple random sampling. Tests were used to collect the data. The test is used to determine the ability of students to submit opinions. The data analysis technique used a t-test. The results showed that there was an effect of the multiliterate model on the spade speaking skills of fourth-grade elementary school students. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan kenyataan yang ada di lapangan, dimana siswa kurang menguasai kemampuan dalam berbicara contohnya dalam bentuk mengajukan pendapat. Model pembelajaran merupakan suatu cara yang digunakan guru untuk merealisasikan strategi pembelajaran yang telah ditetapkan. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan model multiliterasi untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam keterampilan berbicara. Dengan menggunakan model multiliterasi dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa dapat mengembangkan kalimat dengan mencurahkan ide atau gagasan yang ada di dalam pikirannya. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model multiliterasi terhadap keterampilan berbicara pada siswa kelas IV di salah satu sekolah dasar di Surabaya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain quasi experimen dengan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan postest-only design. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas IV yang berjumlah 35 siswa, mengunkan simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes. Tes digunakan untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam mengajukan pendapat. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh model multiliterasi terhadap keterambpilan berbicara spade siswa kelas IV SD. KATA KUNCI: multiliterasi, keterampilan berbicara, SD

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the 4C-based gallery walk method on science learning outcomes on the subject of digestive organ disorders of fifth-grade students in one of the public elementary schools (SDN) in Surabaya. Quasy-Experimental with posttest-only control design was employed. The population of this research was the fifth-grade students of SDN in Surabaya. The sample was taken by a purposive sampling technique so that the V-C class (experimental class) and V-D (control class) were obtained. Data collection techniques used were student learning outcomes tests. The data analysis technique used a t-test with the help of Microsoft Excel tools, with a significance level of 5% (α = 0.05). The results of the calculation of the results of data processing using the t-test assisted by Microsoft Excel tools in the previous sub-chapter which showed the value of t-count = 8.58> t-table = 3.8, then H0 was rejected, explaining that there was an effect on the learning outcomes test for the VC experimental class and the control class. VD, meaning that there was an effect of using the 4C-based gallery walk method on the learning outcomes of natural science learning outcomes for grade V SDN students. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas metode gallery walk berbasis 4C terhadap hasil belajar IPA pada materi gangguan organ perncernaan siswa kelas V di salah satu sekolah dasar negeri (SDN) Surabaya. quasy experimental dengan Posttest-Only Control Design digunakan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN di Surabaya. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling sehingga didapatkan kelas V-C (kelas eksperimen) dan V-D (kelas kontrol). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes hasil belajar siswa. Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan t-test dengan berbantu alat Microsoft Excel. dengan taraf signifikansi 5% ( = 0,05). Hasil perhitungan hasil pengolahan data mengunakan t-test berbantuan alat Microsoft Excel pada sub bab sebelumnya yang menunjukan nilai t-hitung = 8.58 > t-tabel = 3.8, Maka H0 di tolak sehingga menjelaskan bahwa ada pengaruh tes hasil belajar kelas eksperimen V-C dan kelas kontrol V-D, artinya ada pengaruh penggunaan metode gallery walk berbasis 4C terhadap hasil belajar IPA gangguan organ perncernaan siswa kelas V SDN. Kata Kunci: gallery walk berbasis 4C, SDN, IPA, hasil belajar.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the implementation of Bamboo Dancing technique to engage the students in learning English as a foreign language (EFL) speaking. Classroom action research (CAR) was employed to the first-year students in one of State Senior High School Negeri in Kalimantan Barat. Observation, measurement, field notes were used to collect the data. From qualitative and quantitative data analyses, the data revealed that despite the difficulties that the teacher to control the class in the first cycle, this CAR was powerful to impact teaching practice in the second cycle. Furthermore, several positive changes in the mean score from 50, in the first cycle, and 76, in the second one. It is recommended that the results of this CAR pictured the attention of the importance of collaboration and cooperation between teacher and researcher to create meaningful teaching and learning through mutually respectful, supportive, and beneficial dialogue.

Abstract

The purpose of this study in general was to find out which was better between the Problem Based Learning model and classical learning of mathematical problem-solving abilities in terms of the emotional intelligence of students on the material system of two-variable linear equations in class VIII of one of secondary schools of Kalimantan Barat. The method used in this study was an experimental method, with a Quasi-Experimental research form, and the research design was a 2x3 factorial design. The population in this study were all eighth-grade with class samples VIII A and VIII B selected by using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. Based on the analysis of variance of two paths with unequal cells it is concluded that: 1) the problem-based learning model provides better mathematical problem-solving abilities compared to classical learning in the material system of two-variable linear equations, 2) Students with high emotional intelligence provide better mathematical problem-solving abilities compared to moderate and low emotional intelligence, 3) In each learning model, the mathematical problem-solving ability of students with high emotional intelligence is better than that of moderate and low emotional intelligence, 4) At each level of students' emotional intelligence, the Problem Based Learning model provides better mathematical problem-solving skills than classical learning. ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini secara umum adalah untuk mengetahui manakah yang lebih baik antara model pembelajaran problem-based learning dan pembelajaran klasikal terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis ditinjau dari kecerdasan emosional siswa pada materi sistem persamaan linier dua variable di kelas VIII di salah satu sekolah menengah pertama (SMP) Negeri Kalimantan Barat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen, dengan bentuk penelitian Quasi Experimental, dan rancangan penelitian adalah desain faktorial 2x3. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP, dengan sampel kelas VIII A dan VIII B yang dipilih secara random menggunakan teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Berdasarkan analisis variansi dua jalan dengan sel tak sama disimpulkan bahwa: 1) Model pembelajaran problem-based learning memberikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis yang lebih baik dibandingkan pembelajaran klasikal dalam materi sistem persamaan linier dua variable, 2) siswa dengan kecerdasan emosional tinggi memberikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kecerdasan emosional sedang dan rendah, 3) pada masing-masing model pembelajaran, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dengan kecerdasan emosional tinggi lebih baik dari padakecerdasan emosional sedang dan rendah, 4) pada setiap tingkat kecerdasan emosional siswa, model pembelajaran problem-based learning memberikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis yang lebih baik dari pembelajaran klasikal. Abstract

This study aimed to contribute to an understanding of the effects of open-ended learning on mathematics learning as a classroom activity for fifth grade students. This study used a quasi-experimental approach by applying the results of the homogeneity test, it was obtained f count 1.77 compared to dk-numerator f table 32 & dk-denominator 32 with sig level. 5% of the table is 1.80. Because it is found < from the table, it could be concluded that the experimental class and the control class are proven to be homogeneous. This means that the experimental class proved to be normally distributed. The results showed that after three months of the intervention period, students in the experimental group were more involved in learning mathematics on the material part of the geometry of spaces compared to students in the control group. The researcher concluded that the experimental class proved to have an effect of Open-ended learning on HOTS abilities in grade V students at one of the state elementary schools (SDN) in East Java. This is evidenced by the higher average value of the experimental class than the control class. In addition, this study concludes that open-ended learning is a feasible and useful classroom activity in primary schools. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan kontribusi pada pemahaman tentang efek pembelajaran open-ended pada pembelajaran matematika sebagai kegiatan kelas untuk siswa kelas lima. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuasi eksperimental dengan menerapkan hasil uji homogenitas diperoleh f hitung 1,77 dibandingkan dk-numerator f tabel 32 & dk-deniminsator 32 dengan taraf sig. 5% dari tabel yaitu 1.80. Karena ditemukan < dari tabel, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol terbukti homogen. Ini dapat diartikan bahwa kelas eksperimen terbukti berdistribusi normal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setelah tiga bulan periode intervensi, siswa pada kelompok eksperimen lebih terlibat dalam pembelajaran matematika pada materi belahan geometri bangun ruang dibandingkan dengan siswa pada kelompok kontrol. Peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa kelas eksperimen terbukti ada pengaruh pembelajaran Open-ended terhadap kemampuan HOTS pada siswa kelas V di salah satu sekolah dasar negeri (SDN) Jawa Timur. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol. Selain itu, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran open-ended sebagai kegiatan kelas yang layak dan bermanfaat di sekolah dasar.
