Abstract

Hypertension is a serious problem in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between Healthy Living Community Movement (GERMAS) and the occurrence of hypertension at the age of 20-60 years in the Pahandut Public Health Center, Palangka Raya. In this research is an analytic observational study with a cross-sectional study design. The sample in this study was 110 respondents who came from the society in the working area of ​​the Pahandut Health Center. The sampling technique used systematic random sampling. The data obtained came from a questionnaire and was tested for chi square using analysis through the SPSS application.  The results in this study showed that the respondents GERMAS behavior was in the less category (60%) and with a history of hypertension (54.5%). The value means that there is a relationship between GERMAS behavior and the occurrence of hypertension (p = 0.003). There is a relationship between GERMAS behavior and the occurrence of hypertension at the age of 20-60 years in the working area of ​​the Pahandut Public Health Center, Palangka Raya City.

Abstract

Hepatitis B is infectious disease caused by hepatitis B virus. Around 296 million people in the world diagnosed hepatitis B, and prevalence of hepatitis B in Indonesia was 0.40%. Screening for hepatitis B can be done through HBsAg test. To determine the characteristics of pregnant women with hepatitis B in RSUD dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya Period January 2020 to December 2021. Descriptive study where pregnant women with hepatitis B as the sample based on the medical record. The percentage of age, education level, occupation, gestational age, gravida, parity, and abortions in pregnant women with hepatitis B were found to be highest in the age group 26-35 years were 52% (31 people), primary education was 50% (30 people), housewife was 87% (52 people), third trimester was 94% (56 people), multigravida was 53% (32 people), parity 1 was 38% (23 people), abortion 0 was 72% (43 people). The characteristics of age, education level, occupation, gestational age, gravida, parity, and abortions in pregnant women with hepatitis B were found to be highest in the age group 26-35 years, primary education, housewife, third trimester, multigravida, parity 1, and abortion 0.

Abstract

Knowledge about sexual and reproductive health such as sexually transmitted infections has a huge influence all over the world. Seeing cases related to reproductive health in indonesia is still relatively high both among men and women. This study was conducted to see how different levels of knowledge in the field of reproductive health in students of the FK, FH and FE. This study uses descriptive Analytical Study type with cross sectional method. Data collection was done by using questionnaires that have been tested for validity and reliability, after that univariate analysis and data processing with computerization. This study obtained the results for, the level of knowledge of students of the FK is good 97.7%, students of the FH is good knowledge of 75.5%, while students of the FE are 55.4%. It can be concluded that there is a difference in the level of knowledge between the students of the FK, FH, and FE, where it can be seen that the best level of knowledge is the students of the FK, followed by students of the FH, and sufficient level of knowledge is the students of the FE.

Abstract

Hypertension, also known as high blood pressure, is a worldwide health issue. Hypertension is a condition in which the systolic and diastolic blood pressures rise above the usual limit. Lack of physical activity as a risk factor for hypertension needs more attention because this factor is a factor that can be modified with minimal effort and cost.  Understanding the tendency of the relationship between physical activity and the incidence of hypertension. The literature review uses a systematic review approach, data sources, data sources from original articles in the Pubmed.gov and Google Scholar databases with the keywords relationship, physical activity, and hypertension. There were 21 journals that met the inclusion criteria and data quality analysis. Synthesis of data using the SPIDER method. Based on the results of a literature review it was found that in the twenty-four journals analyzed, there were 18 (86%) journals that stated they were related and 3 (14%) stated otherwise. Individuals with lower physical activity tend to have a higher risk of hypertension and the factors that influence it include diet, age, nutritional status, family history of hypertension, smoking to routine health checks.

Abstract

Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH) are a group of intestinal nematode parasites that cause infection in humans, particularly children with poor hygiene. Ascaris lumbricoides, one of the most common intestinal nematodes, can be spread through infective eggs consumed with contaminated food or drink, as well as through dirty hands due to contaminated soil containing infective eggs. This study aims to determine the relationship between personal hygiene and worms in grade 3-5 children at SDN 1 Pahandut Seberang, Palangka Raya City.This research was conducted using the analytical observational research method with a cross sectional approach. The sample used was 41 students from grades 3-5 of SDN 1 Pahandut Seberang. This study revealed that 23 students (56.1%) had good personal cleanliness, while 18 students (43.9%) had poor personal hygiene. Two pupils (4.9%) tested positive for helminthiasis out of a total of 39 students (95.1%). According to the Fisher's Exact test, the obtained findings were p = 0.187. There is no significant correlation between personal hygiene and worm infestation.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases with characteristics of hyperglycemia. International Diabetes Federation estimates that 9.3% of the total population in the world and 10.7 million people in Indonesia suffered from diabetes mellitus in 2019. The incidence of diabetes mellitus in Central Kalimantan is still quite high, where the city of Palangka Raya with the most cases of diabetes mellitus occurred at the Bukit Hindu Health Center. The aim is to determine the relationship of obesity and physical activity with the incidence of diabetes mellitus type II at the age of > 40 years in the Working Area of Bukit Hindu Health Center. Using observational analytic method with cross sectional approach. Sampling using purposive sampling technique, with the number of respondents aged > 40 years as many as 40 respondents. Data collection using primary data through interviews using questionnaires and measurements of weight and height. Statistical test using chi square test (α < 0,05). Result data analysis with univariate and bivariate analysis. Bivariate analysis  found that obesity variable has a relationship with the occurrence of diabetes mellitus type II (p-value 0.005) and physical activity variable also has a relationship with the occurrence of diabetes mellitus   type II (p-value 0.001). There is a relationship of obesity and physical activity with the occurrence of diabetes mellitus type II at the age of > 40 years in the working area of Bukit Hindu Health Center.

Abstract

Breast milk contain the nutrition needed for the growth and development of baby. Exclusive breastfeeding is the basic capital for the formation of quality humans, but the percentage of exclusive breastfeeding in the world, in the city of Palangka Raya, and in the health center of pahandut is stil low. The World Health Organization (WHO) report that in 2016 the percentage of exclusive breastfeeding is 38%. Exclusive breastfeeding in the city of Palangka Raya in 2021 around 33.17%, and in the Pahandut health center there is only 7.45%. This study was to know the relationship of husband support and mother’s knowledge with exclusive breastfeeding in puskesmas Pahandut. This study used an analytical observational method with cross-sectional. The sampling technique was carried out purposive sampling. Amount of 78 samples in accordance with criteria of inclusion were analyzed using chi square statistical test. This study was conducted in Pahandut health center, from July to September 2022. The sample in this study were mothers who had babies aged 6-12 months and lived in the work area of Pahandut health center. There was relationship between husband's support for exclusive breastfeeding with p-value 0,007 and there was relationship between mother's knowledge with exclusive breastfeeding with p-value 0,001.

Abstract

Diarrhea is a change in consistency that happened suddenly due to the water content in the feces exceeding normal in baby and toddlers with a frequency increase of defecation more than 4 times in 24 hours. Baby formula is a good medium for the growth of bacteria and is also easily contaminated if the presentation does not pay attention to the hygienic aspect. This research used analytic observational method with a cross sectional research approach on 93 respondents of mother who have babies < 12 months and used statistical test chi square with significant level < 0,005. The results of the study found that the occurence diarrhea was dominated by the presentation of unhygienic baby formula (55.6%). The results of the bivariate analysis in this research showed that there was a significant relationship between the method of serving baby formula for diarrhea in the UPT BLUD Puskesmas Pahandut with the results of the chi square statistical test showing that the value of p = 0.009 (p < 0.05). There is a connection between the method of serving baby formula and the occurence of diarrhea in the working area of ​​BLUD UPT Puskesmas Pahandut.

Abstract

Diarrhea is defined as defecation with unformed stools or liquid with a frequency of more than 3 times in 24 hours.  Water can be a source of disease, this is due to disease vectors, especially diarrheal diseases, which can multiply and be transmitted through water.  The source of drinking water in the Lower Murjani Settlement area is sourced from drilled wells which are consumed by boiling first and refilling gallons of water. This study aims to determine the bacteriological relationship between the source of drinking water and the quality of drinking water on the incidence of diarrhea in children in the Lower Murjani Settlement area of ​​Palangka Raya City. This type of research is an analytic observational study with a cross-sectional design.  The sample size of 45 children was determined by purposive sampling method.  Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square statistical test. Shows that there is a relationship between the source of drinking water and the quality of drinking water on the incidence of diarrhea in children. There is a relationship between the source of drinking water and the quality of drinking water in bacteriological terms with the incidence of diarrhea in children in the Murjani Bawah residential area in the city of Palangka Raya.

Abstract

Coronavirus Disease 2019 is an infectious disease caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV - 2). COVID-19 was first reported in the city of Wuhan, and in March 2020 the WHO officially designated COVID-19 as a pandemic. The government's efforts in breaking the chain of transmission of COVID-19 are by urging the public to implement health protocols. The health protocol in question is to apply 3M, namely using a mask, cleaning hands regularly using soap or antiseptic liquid, and maintaining a minimum distance of 1 meter. The purpose of this study was to analyze whether there is a relationship between age, education, and knowledge with compliance with the implementation of community COVID-19 health protocols at Menteng Health Centers. This study is an observational analytic study with a cross sectional approach. Sampling using Lemeshow formula, with the number of respondents as many as 100 respondents. The Data used in this study is primary data, taken using a questionnaire instrument and data analysis using Chi Square test. Showed that there was a relationship between age p = 0.001 (p < 0.05), education p = 0.001 (p < 0.05) and knowledge p = 0.001 (p < 0.05) and compliance with the implementation of COVID-19 health protocols at Menteng Health Centers. There is a relationship between age, education and knowledge with compliance with the implementation of community COVID-19 health protocols at Menteng Health Centers.
