Journal of Psychology and Social Sciences is a scientific journal published by CV. Doki Course and Training. Abstract

Emotional intelligence is a person's ability to motivate oneself, control feelings of frustration, not be lulled by pleasure, control impulses, be able to manage so that stress does not paralyze the ability to think, and empathize. This study aims to provide an overview of emotional intelligence in students of by providing interventions in the form of dhikr therapy. The subjects of this study consisted of 30 students of . This research method is experimental research with pre-test, post-test, and follow up in one group. Based on output table “Paired Sample Test" above, it is known that the value of Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000 <0.05, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is an average difference between the results of the pre-test and post-test, which means that there is an influence between the application of dhikr in increasing emotional intelligence for students of .

Abstract

Success in learning can be achieved if you have followed the stages in the learning process, one of which is learning concentration. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the effect of murottal al-qur'an therapy in increasing the concentration of learning in students. The number of subjects in this study amounted to 30 students of the Faculty of Psychology, Raden Fatah State Islamic University, Palembang. The experimental research design used was a one group pretest-posttest design. The murottal Al-Qur'an that is played is Surah Al-Waqiah which has a duration of 15 minutes 52 seconds using audio speaker media for 5 days. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test with the help of SPSS version 22.0. The results of data analysis in this study obtained ρ value = 0.000 or ρ < 0.05 so it can be concluded that murottal al-qur'an therapy is effective in increasing student learning concentration.

Abstract

Breathing relaxation with remembrance is one way to provide physical and psychological calm to humans. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of breathing relaxation with dhikr on reducing student anxiety. The hypothesis of this study: there is a significant decrease in anxiety before and after the intervention. This experimental research design is a one group pretest posttest design. Collecting data using an anxiety scale. Based on the results of the student pre-test, the highest score data was 73 and the lowest score was 37 with an average of 52.33. Based on student post-test results, the highest score data was 54 and the lowest score was 37 with a class average of 45.47. Calculation of all research data using the computer program SPSS for windows. Thus, it can be concluded that breathing relaxation with dhikr has an effect on reducing anxiety in new students of the Psychology Faculty of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of memorizing Al-Qur'an on self-control possessed by adolescents. The research method used is experimental research with one group pre-test posttest design. The sampling procedure used purposive sampling technique which consisted of 30 students as the experimental group. The experimental group will be given treatment in the form of memorizing surah in Al-Qur'an. The data collection method used is the Likert model scale regarding self-control scale. Data analysis in this study used statistical applications, namely SPSS with t-test with independent samples test analysis through pre-test and postest. By using SPSS a significant value of 0.017 was obtained and Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted.

Abstract

This research is entitled Strategies to Increase Organizational Motivation of Indonesian Islamic Student Area Management in South Sumatra (Study of Organizational Communication Patterns). The purpose of the research in this case the communication pattern used is all channels, namely the head of the leadership, and all cadre administrators to be able to interact and provide the desired information and also with the interaction of fellow administrators of the Indonesian Islamic Student organization (PII). The method used in this study the author used a qualitative approach. The data sources used in this study are primary data sources and secondary data. The data collection method used in this study was the interview and observation method in the field. The results of this study show that the strategy of the communication pattern of the organization of the Indonesian Islamic student area management in increasing organizational motivation is very good and very important to increase motivation in organizing because by using good communication the message will be conveyed well to the communicants and will get good feedback, in increasing motivation in organizing of course we must feel comfortable with the surrounding environment thus giving rise to a sense of openness to each other. This aims to create a sense of mutual respect, tolerance between fellow board members, and also create a sense of enthusiasm to exchange information with each other with the aim of increasing the insight and knowledge gained, completing all tasks in their respective fields.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of friendship circles on religiosity in 2nd and 4th semester students at the Faculty of Psychology, State Islamic University Raden Fatah Palembang. the research method used in this research is quantitative using comparative causal techniques. The subjects of this study were 2nd and 4th semester students at the Faculty of Psychology, State Islamic University Raden Fatah Palembang. The sample of this study were 33 students who were taken using a questionnaire. The instrument used is the friendship circle scale and the religiosity scale. The results of the hypothesis test (product moment) show a very high level of relationship, there is a real (significant) influence of variable X (friendship) on variable Y (religiosity). From the output it can be seen that F count = 9,722 with a significance level or probability of 0.004 <0.05, the regression model can be used to predict the religiosity variable.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the correlation between bullying experiences and the level of self-esteem among psychology students at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. A quantitative research method was employed, utilizing a descriptive correlational design and a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 40 fourth-semester students, with 5 males and 35 females, selected through simple random sampling. Bullying experiences were assessed using a 38-item Likert scale developed by Coloroso, while self-esteem levels were measured using a self-confidence instrument by Lauster (as cited in Mukti, 2013). The data analysis revealed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.790. As this value exceeds the significance level of 0.05, it indicates a lack of significant correlation between bullying experiences and the level of self-esteem among psychology students at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang.

Abstract

Students are able to build their self-confidence and motivation to learn either independently or through observing their social environment. The changes in learning atmosphere and condition after the Covid-19 pandemic are interesting to be studied and becomes an assessment of learning. The social activities of the society are getting back to normal, including learning. Education institutions started to re-arrange their curriculum to get back to the pre-pandemic condition. In this case, we are going to discuss whether the existing social behavior of students can be affected and ease the learning process in the new normal era and at the same time to look at the benefits brought by the new learning system with the Online Learning Technique. The purpose of this research is to look at how the social behavior of psychology faculty students in adapting to the new normal learning era. This research used quantitative research method with data collection method using 10 items of Social Behavior and 10 items of New Normal Learning. The data were analyzed using simple regression with the results showing the value (xry) = 0,445 with p = 0,001 (p <0.05) which means there is a positive correlation between the X and Y variables of 22.1%.

Abstract

The family is the starting place to learn everything in the world, and parents are responsible for their children, which are compassionate, uplifting and nurturing. Every parent has their own parenting style which will affect a child's motivation in doing things, for example studying. Someone who has high motivation to learn will understand the lessons given more quickly, but vice versa, people who have low motivation will find it difficult to accept the learning given by them. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the workenvironment on employee performance at the Kota Agung sub-districtoffice. The type of research used is comparative causal . Respondentswho resulted from the survey amounted to 37 respondents. The datacollection technique is done by survey online via google form, using 3scales namely Work Environment (X1), Work Attitude (X2), andperformance (Y). The data analysis method for testing the hypothesisuses a simple linear regression method with significant data results,which means that the work environment in the sub-district office ofKota Agung has an effect on employee performance. Based on theresults of research that aims to determine the effect of the workenvironment on employee performance in the district office grand city. It can be seen from the significant value in the data above in the formof 0.000 <0.05 tends to be lower than the significant level which is 0.24.It can be concluded that the work environment variable affects theperformance of employees at the Kota Agung sub-district office or canbe called correlated and thus H0 is rejected or in other words there isan effect. Square Bearing R square is 0.197 which implies that the workenvironment variable has an independent effect on employeeperformance variables by 20.4 percent .
