Abstract

In the literature, some labeling algorithms of nxn binary image, which are generally claimed as optimal, are only optimal with regards to the algorithmic aspect but not to the architectural aspect. Aside from this, the complexities obtained are not pure because the constant still depends on the value of n. This paper presents a labeling algorithm, which reaches purely Processor-Time optimal performance. This means that the optimal performance is not only reached considering its algorithm but also its architecture and "pure" means that the complexity obtained does not depend on the value of n. The algorithm complexity obtained is O(cn) using O(n) number of processors. In this paper the justification of complexity obtained is given and the performance comparison with other existing algorithms is discussed. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Beberapa algoritma labeling untuk citra biner nxn yang diklaim optimal dalam literatur pada umumnya hanya optimal ditinjau dari aspek algoritmanya saja namun tidak optimal ditinjau dari dari aspek arsitektural. Disamping itu, kompleksitas-kompleksitas yang dihasilkan tersebut tidak murni karena masih mengandung konstanta yang tergantung harga n. Pada paper ini diperkenalkan suatu algoritma labeling dengan performansi optimal Processor-Time murni. Ini berarti optimal tidak hanya dicapai dari sisi algoritma namun juga dari sisi arsitektur dan murni karena kompleksitas yang didapat tidak mengandung konstanta yang tergantung harga n. Kompleksitas algoritma yang didapat tersebut adalah O(cn) dengan menggunakan O(n) prosesor. Pada paper ini diberikan pembuktian terhadap kompleksitas yang didapatkan dan perbandingan performansinya dengan beberapa algoritma yang ada. Kata kunci : Pengolahan citra, Labeling, Citra biner, Performansi optimal Processor-Time.

Abstract

Petra Christian University Student Executive Board (BEM) needs an administrative and project management system that can help managing the activities. This Board was having a problem of coordination on managing the activities they have. The tight schedule of each member of the executive staffs who comes from different departments has created this problem. To answer the above problem, an administrative and project management system is developed to help PCU BEM managing each of their activities. The scope of the system covers access privileges, job divisions and task assignments, proposal creation and budgeting arrangements of the implementation of each activity. The application is developed as a web-based system using Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004, PHP and JavaScript programming language and MySQL database system. The system testing concludes that the application is able to support the performances of the BEM executive staff members in managing their activities. The detailed job divisions let the implementation process of each activity be easily viewed by each executive staff member.

Abstract

Technology development had given people the chance to capture their memorable moments in video format. A high quality digital video is a result of a good editing process. Which in turn, arise the new need of an editor application. In accordance to the problem, here the process of making a simple application for video editing needs. The application development use the programming techniques often applied in multimedia applications, especially video. First part of the application will begin with the video file compression and decompression, then we'll step into the editing part of the digital video file. Furthermore, the application also equipped with the facilities needed for the editing processes. The application made with Microsoft Visual C++ with DirectX technology, particularly DirectShow. The application provides basic facilities that will help the editing process of a digital video file. The application will produce an AVI format file after the editing process is finished. Through the testing process of this application shows the ability of this application to do the 'cut' and 'insert' of video files in AVI, MPEG, MPG and DAT formats. The 'cut' and 'insert' process only can be done in static order. Further, the aplication also provide the effects facility for transition process in each clip. Lastly, the process of saving the new edited video file in AVI format from the application. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Perkembangan teknologi memberi kesempatan masyarakat untuk mengabadikan saat - saat yang penting menggunakan video. Pembentukan video digital yang baik membutuhkan proses editing yang baik pula. Untuk melakukan proses editing video digital dibutuhkan program editor. Berdasarkan permasalahan diatas maka pada penelitian ini dibuat prototipe editor sederhana untuk video digital. Pembuatan aplikasi memakai teknik pemrograman di bidang multimedia, khususnya video. Perencanaan dalam pembuatan aplikasi tersebut dimulai dengan pembentukan kompresi dan dekompresi file video, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan proses editing terhadap file video digital. Selain itu program juga dilengkapi dengan fasilitas untuk mendukung proses editing. Aplikasi tersebut dibuat dengan Microsoft Visual C++ dengan menggunakan teknologi DirectX, khususnya DirectShow. Aplikasi tersebut meyediakan fasilitas - fasilitas dasar yang membantu proses editing pada video digital. Dengan aplikasi tersebut dihasilkan file video baru dalam format AVI yang terbentuk dari proses editing yang dilakukan. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan kemampuan aplikasi melakukan proses pemotongan dan penyisipan file video dalam format AVI, MPEG, MPG dan DAT. Proses pemotongan dan penyisipan dilakukan dengan urutan yang statis. Selain itu aplikasi juga menyediakan efek antara masing - masing clip. Dan yang terakhir melakukan proses penyimpanan satu file dalam format AVI yang terbentuk dari proses editing dalam aplikasi. Kata kunci: Multimedia, Video Editor, Direct-X, Direct-Show, AVI, MPG.

Abstract

Company X is a reputable company that has more than 1000 people employees. One of the routines that performed by company X is orientation for new employees, and there is an event that invites them to visit the factory. The location of the main office and the factory is far, so this activity lacks time efficiency. This application aims to facilitate company X in conducting new employee orientation so that the location can be seen in the virtual world. The first thing in the process of making the application is visiting the factory to determine the shape and position of the object, so that the expected results are shown to resemble its original condition. 3d object and its texture are created using Blender application that can be imported into the made application. Collision feature aims to prevent users from penetrating the objects.The position, shape and location of objects contained in the application already resemble the original plant site. The main obstacle in making this application is the creation time, so the detailed map of the plant cannot be completed. The main building, the production building and the warehouse have been made, only small objects contained in the main building have not been contained.

Abstract

Most of docks have applied Accuracy Control system in the ship body construction process that is interim product oriented. However, size/dimension deviation is often detected in the erecton stage which makes the docks suffer a financial and time loss. The use of computers as a Decision Support System is a way to solve the problem. Database and modelbase design is a requirement to make a computer-based Decision Support System. Ms-SQL Server 7 will support multi-user information system and Control Chart as a model base can be used to monitor production result continually so that the process can be improved, both from manufacture workshop and assembly workshop. The validation process is also important to review the performance of the software. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Dalam proses pembangunan badan kapal yang berorientasi pada produk antara (interim product) sebagian besar galangan kapal telah menerapkan Sistem Accuracy Control, namun seringkali jika terjadi penyimpangan ukuran/dimensi tersebut baru diketahui pada saat masuk tahap erection, dan ini merugikan bagi sebuah galangan kapal , baik dari segi waktu maupun biaya. Penggunaan komputer sebagai Sistem Penunjang Keputusan merupakan cara untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Perancangan database dan modelbase merupakan persyaratan dalam membuat sebuah Sistem Penunjang Keputusan berbasis komputer. Dimana pemilihan MS- SQL Server 7 akan mampu mendukung pelayanan informasi yang bersifat multi-user, dan penggunaan Control Chart sebagai model base dapat digunakan untuk memonitor hasil proses produksi secara kontinyu sehingga tercapai perbaikan proses, baik dari bengkel fabrikasi maupun assembly. Kemudian untuk melihat kemampuan kinerja dari software perlu dilakukan proses validasi. Kata kunci: penyimpangan ukuran/dimensi, Sistem Penunjang Keputusan berbasis komputer, database, modelbase, control chart.

Abstract

Lirik lagu merupakan suatu ungkapan perasaan seseorang terhadap sesuatu hal yang sudah dilihat, didengar maupun dialaminya sehingga tidak jarang emosi menjadi salah satu kriteria user dalam melakukan pencarian. Pencarian lirik melekat pada kategori yang tidak hanya terbatas berdasarkan genre atau judul lagu, namun juga melalui emosi dari lirik lagu yang diungkapkan. Agar dapat mencapai tujuan tersebut, diperlukan suatu sistem pengkategori yang mengenali lirik lagu secara otomatis dengan salah satu metode klasifikasi yaitu Naïve Bayes. Faktor yang mendorong tingginya tingkat akurasi bukan hanya terletak pada metode klasifikasi saja, namun proses sebelum menuju tahap klasifikasi juga berpengaruh pada hasil yang didapatkan. Maka dari itu, penulis melakukan penelitian melalui beberapa tahap yaitu preprocessing berupa tokenisasi, stopword dan stemming, kemudian feature selection yang digunakan adalah TF-IDF dengan bantuan ISEAR karena mengandung 7 emosi dasar. Dari ketujuh emosi dasar tersebut, tiga diantaranya merupkan emosi yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu anger, sadness dan joy. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan dengan menggunakan ISEAR akurasi tertinggi terdapat pada feature set 60% dan 100% yaitu sebesar 82,2%. Perbedaan signifikan dihasilkan pada penggunaan ISEAR dengan akurasi rata-rata keseluruhan porsi featureset sebesar 77% sedangkan tanpa menggunakan ISEAR rata-rata akurasi sebesar 53%. Dokumen paling relevan untuk pengujian menggunakan ISEAR terdapat pada kategori angry dengan rata-rata f-measure sebesar 0.7267.

Abstract

Association rule mining searches for interesting relationship among items in a large data set. Market basket analysis, a typical example of association rule mining, analyzes buying habit of customers by finding association between the different items that customers put in their shopping cart (basket). Apriori algorithm is an influential algorithm for mining frequent itemset for generating association rules. For some reasons, Apriori algorithm is not based on human intuitive. To provide a more human-based concept, this paper proposes an alternative algorithm for generating the association rule by utilizing fuzzy sets in the market basket analysis.

Abstract

In this paper the Ising model is modified by considering its parameters as a vector that depends on the neighborhoods of the image's pixels. We applied this modification for generating binary images, provided the original image is given. An example is exposed as a result of simulation using Gibbs sampler.

Abstract

Serial communication is commonly used in PC interface, but serial communication that is commonly used is RS-232 which only could communicate in one to one scheme. This paper will explain a software using the RS-485 interface that can communicate in one to many scheme using a multidrop network system. The server will monitor slave computer, so from the master computer we will be able to see what kind of application is being done in the slave computer. Software has been designed under Windows environtment (32 bit) using Delphi 3.0 from Borland International, Inc Software. There are two kinds of software : master and slave. The master software will control the computer we want to monitor, while the slave software will send the monitor picture to the master. The system hardware uses 3 RS 232 to RS 485 converter installed at the 3 PCs, one converter is used by master, and 2 converters are used by slave computers. Testing of picture compression, picture transmission with varying transmission speed have been done in this experiment. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Komunikasi serial banyak sekali digunakan dalam interface PC namun serial yang biasa dipakai adalah RS-232 yang hanya dapat berhubungan secara one to one. Dalam paper ini dibuat software menggunakan sistem RS-485 yang dapat berhubungan secara one to many menggunakan sistem multidrop network. Aplikasinya adalah monitoring komputer, jadi dalam sebuah komputer dapat melihat apa yang sedang dikerjakan oleh komputer lain dengan melihat layar monitor komputer tersebut. Software dibuat berbasis Windows (32 bit) dengan bantuan Delphi 3.0 dari Borland International, Inc Software. Software terdiri dari dua yaitu master sebagai pengontrol untuk melihat komputer lain sedangkan slave sebagai pengirim gambar pada komputer yang dimonitor dan bersifat resident dan aktif. Hardware yang digunakan adalah 3 buah RS 232 to RS 485 Converter yang dipasang pada 3 buah PC dimana sebuah PC digunakan untuk master dan 2 buah PC untuk slave. Pengujian secara software dilakukan pada pengecekan kebenaran pengiriman data, pemadatan gambar, pengiriman gambar pada berbagai kecepatan transmisi. Abstract

Computer-Based Testing (CBT) program was launched for years to give testtakers the options of taking computerized version of test. The application which genarate academic score is developed as a server-side with Adobe Flash. Flash is well known as a powerful and dynamic front-end for the Web. However, Flash is also great interface for server-side applications. PHP can launch server-side script using Flash as a front-end and pass variables back and forth between Flash and the PHP pages. Along with PHP, MySQL can be used to store data and later retrieve it. Using Flash as a front-end, data and variables are passed between the MySQL database, PHP, and Flash to enchance aplication's functionality in managing databases.
