Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability to understand the concept of fractions in grade VII students of SMP Kristen Kusu-Kusu Sereh Ambon. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive research. This research was carried out at SMP Kristen Kusu-Kusu Sereh Ambon, with the data source being class VII-1 students totaling 20 students, and the research subjects selected to be interviewed were three students. Researchers describe students' ability to understand fractional concepts by looking at the results of student answers and interviews. The results of this student's test refer to the question instructions and the student's accuracy in answering. The accuracy of the student's answers is adjusted to the assessment criteria for the test questions and the scoring criteria for the ability to understand fractional concepts with four indicators, namely indicators of the ability to provide examples and non-examples, indicators of the ability to present concepts in various forms of mathematical representation, indicators of the ability to use, utilize and select specific procedures or operations and indicators of the ability to apply concepts or algorithms in problem-solving. Based on the results of the fractional concept comprehension ability test and student interviews, one student met three indicators of concept understanding ability, namely indicators of the ability to provide examples and non-examples, the ability to present concepts in various forms of mathematical representation, and the ability to apply concepts or algorithms in problem-solving, and two students who met one indicator of concept understanding ability, namely indicators of ability to provide an example and non-example.

Abstract

Research has been conducted to determine student learning outcomes on acid, base, and salt materials using the Predict Observe Explain (POE) learning model to improve student learning outcomes for class VII SMP Negeri 19 Ambon. The sample of this research was the students of class VII5, which amounted to 27 students. This research is descriptive and quantitative, with data collection techniques in the form of tests and observations. Instruments were used as initial tests, LKPD, final tests, and non-tests in the form of affective and psychomotor observation sheets. The results showed that in the initial test, all students had not reached the KKM, and student learning outcomes in the form of a final test showed eight students (29.96%) were in excellent qualifications, good qualifications 12 students (44.44%) and enough qualifications for seven students (25,6%). Then for the results of the N-gain analysis, 21 students who achieved (77.78%) were in the high category, six students who achieved (22.22%) were in the medium category, and none were in a low category. Thus, using the Predict Observe Explain (POE) learning model can improve the learning outcomes of class VII students of SMP Negeri 19 Ambon on acids, bases, and salts

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using PhET as a medium for learning physics to increase mastery of inert fluid material for students in class X State High School 4 spooky eastern part. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative with a research design that is a one-group pretest and posttest. This research was conducted with a population of students of class X IPA at SMA Negeri 4 SBT. The sample of class X IPA-1 was 21 students who were taken at random. The data in this study were collected through test and non-test instruments, test instruments in the form of pretest and posttest, and non-test test instruments in the form of student worksheets (LKPD). The results showed that in the initial test, 100% of students failed the qualification, with an average achievement score of 7.83. The maximum achievement score is 25.8, while the minimum is 1.72. The results of the analysis of cognitive aspects during the learning process using PhET as a learning medium showed that the average student achievement score was 92.23, which was an excellent qualification. These results are collected based on completing the questions in the LKPD. The ability of students to learn shows a change. The average score of the student's final test achievement reached 91.17, which was an excellent qualification. For the N-Gain test, results obtained 0.8, which is in the high category. In the effectiveness test that the results of the calculation of the t-count 48.45 and t-table 2.080 with a significant level of 5%, the t-count value is 48.45 > t-table 2,080 where 21 students (100%) are declared effective. Thus it can be concluded that the use of PhET as a practical physics learning media to improve students' mastery of static fluid material class X State High School 4 SBT

Abstract

This study aims to describe the creative thinking of class IX students of Kusu-Kusu Christian Middle School, Sereh Ambon, in solving quadratic equation problems. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative, carried out at the Kusu-kusu Christian Middle School Sereh Ambon in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. This study's data sources were grade IX students with a total of 6 subjects, namely two subjects with high, medium, and low abilities. Three subjects were interviewed from the creative thinking test results, namely, 1 with high, medium, and low abilities. Two instruments are used in this study: the main instrument, the researcher, acts as a data collector: a companion instrument, creative thinking test sheets and interview guidelines. Data collection techniques are in the form of tests given to subjects who have studied the quadratic equation material, interviews conducted after the subjects have completed the test questions, and documentation, namely photos and videos, by following the steps of the data collection procedure. Data analysis techniques were carried out using data reduction, namely removing interview snippet data that were not by the research flow, presenting data in the form of narrative texts, and conclusions or verification, namely drawing conclusions based on test and interview results, for objectivity and validity. Data is used with credibility (degree of trust), which involves triangulation of sources. The results showed that high-ability subjects could solve three questions properly and correctly, which met all indicators of creative thinking in solving problems. Moderately capable subjects could only solve two questions and only met several indicators of creative thinking, and low-ability subjects could not complete questions correctly and adequately

Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal persamaan eksponen. Penelitian ini dilakukan dikelas X SMA Xaverius Ambon tahun ajaran 2022/2023 pada bulan juli sampai bulan agustus 2022. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik tes dan wawancara. Instrumen penelitian yaitu lembar tes dan pedoman wawancara. Data hasil tes dianalisis agar dapat mengetahui jenis-jenis kesalahan dan juga sebagai dasar pemilihan subjek wawancara yaitu tiga orang siawa. Data hasil wawancara digunakan sebagai pembanding data hasil tes. Analisis data diambil melalui langkah-langkah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh yaitu kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal persamaan eksponen, dilihat dari objek matematika yaitu kesalahan fakta, kesalahan konsep, kesalahan prinsip, dan kesalahan operasi

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemecahan masalah bentuk aljabar pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 19 Ambon. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian dilakukan dengan JK, JP, dan FS sebagai subjek yang dipilih untuk diwawancarai sesuai pertimbangan guru. Data penelitian berupa soal tes dan pedoman wawancara yang dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini sebagai berikut: JK dapat memenuhi keempat indikator pemecahan masalah, JP dapat memenuhi tiga dari keempat indikator pemecahan masalah, dan FS hanya memenuhi satu dari keempat indikator pemecahan masalah

Abstract

The project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students is a cross-disciplinary learning in observing and thinking of solutions to problems in the surrounding environment to enhance various competencies in the Pancasila Student Profile. This study aimed to analyze the Implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile on the Entrepreneurship Theme in the Subject of Economics at YPKPM Ambon Christian High School. The research method used was qualitative research with a phenomenological approach by conducting interviews with the economics teacher as a key informant and the head of the 5P Team as a supporting informant, which was carried out at YPKPM Ambon Christian High School; besides the data collected was also strengthened by documentation. The results showed that implementing the entrepreneurial theme of Pancasila student profiles included planning which consisted of the team formation stage, assessment, determining pieces/dimensions, creating modules, and conducting expos. Project implementation includes an introduction, context, planning, action, and reflection stages. The performance of this project must be distinct from the role of other parties. This project also has an impact, namely, the growth of Pancasila's character in students. The end of the project with the theme of entrepreneurship is the sale of student-processed products in school expo activities. The problems in the project implementation process did not hinder the project and could still be overcome.

Abstract

Meningkatkan kemampuan pengenalan angka pada anak-anak usia dini adalah langkah penting dalam memperkenalkan konsep matematika sejak dini. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pemanfaatan media loose part untuk meningkatkan kemampuan anak-anak dalam mengenal angka 1-20. Dalam tinjauan literatur ini, akan dipelajari penggunaan media loose part dalam beberapa penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk mendukung peningkatan kemampuan anak-anak usia dini dalam mengenal angka. Media loose part merujuk pada objek sederhana yang dapat ditemukan di sekitar lingkungan kita dan dianggap efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman anak-anak terhadap angka. Melalui objek-objek ini, anak-anak dapat mengalami permainan yang bermakna dan terlibat sepenuhnya dalam setiap aktivitas. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memberikan solusi dan panduan mengenai kegiatan pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal angka pada anak-anak usia dini

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to describe the thinking of class VII students at SMP Negeri 21 Ambon based on Van Hiele's theory in solving problems on triangle material. Types of research, namely qualitative research. The subjects in this research were 3 selected students of 21 students provided that students answer all questions correctly and students who are able to communicate according to the teacher's considerations that school. The qualitative data analysis used consists of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results show that for level 0 (visualization) the three subjects have fulfilled level 0, namely being able to describe something build on its properties and use the description to draw a shape. For level 1 (analysis) all three subjects have fulfilled level 1, namely being able to say they are awake flat what is formed based on given properties. And level 2 (sorting) All three subjects have fulfilled level 2, namely being able to identify information that is known and asked from the question and can be use the right strategy and get the right answer

Abstract

This research aims to find out whether with the think pair share type cooperative learning model, the learning outcomes of class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Kairatu can be improved. The subjects in this research were 20 students in class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Kairatu. Tests are given at the end of the meeting of each cycle, while observations are given at each meeting. The observation results obtained pay attention to indicators of student learning activities during the action. The change that can be seen is that each pair was able to work better in cycle II than cycle I. Based on the final test results, there was an increase in student learning outcomes by 30%. In cycle I, the percentage of students who achieved the minimum completeness criteria was 50%, then in cycle II it increased to 80%. These results state that the think pair share type cooperative learning model can improve the learning outcomes of class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Kairatu in derivative of algebraic function material.
