Abstract

This research is to analyze the interests, knowledge mastered and the application of 21st century skills in online STEM learning. This research is an action in implementing project-based learning with a STEM approach which is carried out with a Learning Management System (LMS), namely Schoology and assisted by other applications, namely Zoom Meeting and WhatsApp. The participants are pre-service chemistry teachers in the second year who are taking Integrated Science courses at the Muhammadiyah University of Semarang, Indonesia as many as 16 students. The research method used a qualitative approach to find out phenomena that arise and reveal from time to time. The data obtained in the form of answers to questionnaires, pictures of STEM project diagrams, STEM product videos and STEM product descriptions. It was found that the stage changes in online STEM learning were different when it was implemented in the offline condition. It was shown that the pre-service teachers were interested in working on STEM projects, increasing their knowledge and collaboration skills. The novelty of this study is the implementation of online STEM learning in the pandemic era by involving family members. Abstract

The research aims to describe improving the quality of higher education through organizational culture at Puanggrimaggalatung University Wajo, South Sulawesi with a sub-focus of research, namely organizational culture that has been developed at Puanggrimaggalatung University Wajo, South Sulawesi; the role of organizational culture in improving the quality of education at Puanggrimaggalatung University, Wajo, South Sulawesi; and the factors that influence the application of organizational culture atPuanggrimaggalatung University, Wajo, South Sulawesi. This study used qualitative approach with data collection techniques consisting of interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique was Miles and Huberman interactive analysis technique. This study found that improving the quality of education at Puangrimaggalatung University, Wajo, South Sulawesi through organizational culture can be seen from the development of a culture of discipline, a culture of hard work, and a culture of quality that has been going well. The organizational culture has become an effective strategy in improving the quality of education at Puangrimaggalatung University, Wajo, South Sulawesi. The role of the organizational culture of the University of Puangrimaggalatung Wajo, South Sulawesi in improving the quality of education can be seen from the implementation of a culture of discipline, and a culture of hard work carried out by campus residents, where one example is a culture of discipline, namely the discipline of lecturers in teaching, making the quality of education achievable. also with the hard work culture that has been running. In addition, the existence of a vision, mission, leadership, and competent lecturers, as well as adequate building conditions are factors that support organizational culture in improving the organizational culture of Puangrimaggalatung University, Wajo, South Sulawesi.Keywords: organizational culture, university, quality of education

Abstract

Universities have an important role in character education. The philosophy of education that combines progressivism, constructivism, and humanism is the foundation of educational activities at universities in Indonesia, which frame the development of student character, in addition to intellectual development and kinesthetic skills. Character education has a very important position considering that global life presents new challenges and changes, which require anticipation and adaptation for the younger generation, including students. The stronger the character possessed by a college graduate, the more capable they will be in dealing with the dynamics of change in the new world. Abstract

Abstract— This study aims to determine the influence of Transcript Based Lesson Analysis (TBLA) methods on the priority level of the Quality of Pedagogical (QoP) elements in student character development. This type of research is experimental research with a post-test control group design research design. This research sample was elementary school students in Cluster XI of Buleleng Subdistrict who were selected using random sampling techniques. Research data collection instruments are using rubrics. The data analysis method used is bivariate statistical analysis whose data source is obtained from transcript-based lesson analysis. The results showed that 1) the priority level of the teacher's QoP element of 80% was obtained in Pedagogy Content Knowledge; 2) the priority level of the student character behavior element of 72% is obtained in the nationalist and mutual cooperation categories; 3) Methods and insights contribute to the character development of students by 89%.   Keywords—TBLA, QoP, student character

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The purposes of this research are: 1) to know the influence of the teacher’s competence towards to teacher’s performance, 2) to know the influence of the job satisfaction towards to teacher’s performance, 3) to know the influence of teacher's competence and job satisfaction towards to teacher’s performance. The researcher use quantitative descriptive method. This research has two independent variable, these are: variable X1 (teacher’s competence), X2 (job satisfaction), and a dependent variable Y (teacher’s performance). While the sampling technique, this research using proporsional random sampling. The results of this research are: 1) there is a positive and significant influence partially of the teacher’s preved performance. preved the value of nilai tvalue (5,023) > ttable (1,960) and pvalue (sig. = 0,000) < 0,05, 2) there is a positive and significant influence partially of the job satisfaction variable towards to teacher’s performance. This is suppated by the value of nilai tvalue (3,838) > ttable (1,960) and pvalue (sig. = 0,000) < 0,05, 3) there is positive a simultan and significant influence of the teacher’s competence variable and job’s satisfaction toward teacher’s performance. It is marked by the value of nilai Fvalue (27,515) > Ftable (3,000) and pvalue (sig. = 0,000) Keywords: Competence, Job satisfaction of teachers, Teachers ' Performance.

Abstract

Abstract—Communication and collaboration skills must be possessed in the 2013 curriculum learning to face the fierce job competition in the 21st Century. The results of observations and interviews of biology teachers at SMAI Al Maarif, students' communication and collaboration skills are still relatively low. This study aims to improve the communication and collaboration skills of Al Maarif Singosari Islamic High School students through the implementation of the POGIL learning model combined with online learning-based mind maps. This type of research is classroom action research. According to Kemmis and McTaggart, the CAR procedure consists of 4 stages, namely planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting, followed by the next spiral cycle. The research subjects were 35 students of class XI MIPA 3, totaling 35 people. The data in this study were oral communication and collaboration skills measured using observation sheets and written communication skills using students' worksheets. The results showed that implementing the POGIL learning model combined with online learning-based mindmaps could improve students' communication and collaboration skills. The highest increase in communication skills occurred in oral communication, which was 20,3%. Meanwhile, collaboration skills experienced the highest increase in the compromise indicator, which was 29.03%.Keywords­—Collaboration; Communication; Mind map; Online Learning; POGIL

Abstract

The quality of education is determined by teacher performance because teachers are a central factor in the delivery of education. Principal leadership is needed as an effort to improve teacher performance. This study aims to determine the role of principal leadership on the performance of public elementary school teachers in Gunungwungkal District, Pati Regency. This research is a descriptive research. Data collection techniques using documentation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results showed (1) the role of the principal as an educator, namely involving teachers in seminars, training and workshops; (2) the role of the principal as manager, which is to regulate the division of teacher duties according to their main duties and functions; (3) the principal's role as administrator, namely managing personnel administration, learning administration, and financial administration; (4) the role of the principal as a supervisor, namely supervising teachers; (5) the role of the principal as a leader, namely leading in decision making; (6) the role of the principal as an innovator, namely developing innovative programs (7) the role of the principal as a motivator, namely providing motivation and encouragement to teachers. Keywords: role, leadership, principal, performance, teacher

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study was to develop learning media for the halma game to improve the ability to count multiples of a number for grade 4 SD in Demak Regency. This research method is Research and development. There are 3 stages in this research: the preliminary study stage, the development stage, media validation, and field testing, as well as the dissemination and socialization stage. The results of this study are in the form of manual learning media products in the form of multiples number board games from paper and MMT, and digital, in the form of digital in the form of a game application using articulate storyline 3. Validation from media experts and material experts gave assessments, validators I, II, III, and IV respectively 36, 35, 37, and 36 from a maximum score of 40. The media developed was categorized as very good. The results of the control class posttest t test and the experiment shows the value of t = -336 with a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.664> α = 0.05, so that the media developed is valid.Keywords: Checkers game, multiples of numbers

Abstract

Abstract— The purpose of this study is to find out the strengthening of character education through the application of contextual teaching and learning oriented lesson study in elementary school students in Buleleng Regency. The response in this study was determined randomly, with the total of 50 people consisting of 25 students of State Elementary School 1 Panji and 25 students of Elementary Laboratorium Undiksha. This research includes descriptive analytical. Data collection is done using observation methods and questionnaires. Data analysis uses descriptive statistics. Based on the calculation of the average value of strengthening student character education through contextual teaching and learning oriented lesson study obtained religious values of 76% (very often), nationalist values by 78% (very often), independent values by 74% (often), integrity values of 70% (often), and mutual cooperation values by 85% (very often). The results suggest that linking material to daily activities can help students gain better character education. Lesson study also provides innovative and varied teaching experiences to teachers.Keywords— Strengthening Character Education, Lesson Study
