Abstract

This study aims to determine differences in student learning outcomes in Geography subjects through the application of investigative learning models and tournaments on the subject matter of atmospheric dynamics and their impact on life. This research is an experimental research. The population is class X students consisting of 8 classes. Sampling with cluster random sampling technique. The sample in this study is class XI 3 as an experimental class and class X 7 as a control class. The results showed that the average value of learning outcomes through the application of investigative learning models was 64.27 of 48 students while the average value of student learning outcomes through the implementation of tournament learning models reached 81.56 of the total number of 48 students . Based on the calculation results it can be concluded that the learning outcomes of geography students who use the tournament learning model are better than the learning outcomes of students who use the investigation model especially on the subject of the environment and its preservation. Therefore it is recommended: (1) teachers can use various learning methods in the learning process to improve student learning outcomes, (2) for teachers who do not understand about learning models, training should be given, and (3) for students who have low interpersonal intelligence teachers can use learning models as an alternative method in the learning process.

Abstract

This research is A qualitative research aimed intends to understand the phenomena about what is experienced by research subjects that aim to determine people's perceptions of the A?lammang  Tradition and know the efforts made by the Government and the community to preserve the A?lammang  tradition. The A?lammang  tradition is a tradition carried out by the community in Lantang Village, Polombangkeng Selatan District, Takalar Regency, the implementation of which is on Friday, the first week after the rice harvest. The A?lammang  tradition is a form of gratitude for the people in Lantang Village for the rice harvest they have obtained. The tradition that only exists in Lantang Village originates from the existence of deep rivers and the water never dries in the dry and rainy seasons, so the village near the river is named Lantang. After conducting research, it can be concluded that the Government considers the A?lammang  Tradition as a cultural asset in the Lantang Village, with the existence of this tradition will make the Lantang village better known to the outside community and will preserve the A?lammang  Tradition as a cultural asset in the Lantang village.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to know the characteristics of the To Balo Tribe's life pattern in the village of Bulo-BuloPujananting Sub-district of Barru Regency, the social relationship of To Balo Tribe with the surrounding community. The type of research is qualitative research with Ethnography approach. The results showed that, their To Balo Tribe lives cooking, cultivating yams, corn, and beans, farming and processing palm sugar. In the dry season they grow peanut plants that do not really need water. In addition to farming, To Too tribe also raises ducks, chickens, and cattle. To Balo interaction with the people around the beginning was not good To Balo did not want to mingle, due to feel ashamed then To Balo not out of the settlement, the local community is not disturbed To To Balo but over the development time To Balo is open and willing to blend, even have often to the city each week with the Bulo-Bulo community and mingle as well if there is an invitation to a party or a show of salvation. Suggestions that will be compilers give is the existence of Tribe To Balo in the future is still maintained and protected from extinction and non To Balo people can live together, and still high up the local cultures and wisdom and in the guarding and preservation of To Balo Tribes is very in need, because it will impact on the object directly.

Abstract

The research used descriptive analysis technique to describe the results of research in accordance with the data obtained in the field about the perception of geography teachers in the application of full day school in Makassar. The results of this study indicate that 1) the perception of geography teachers in the application of full day school in Makassar is quite agree with the percentage of 38.24%, 2) obstacles experienced by the geography teacher during the implementation of full day school geography teacher is quite difficult in teaching during school hours and afternoon, the geography teacher is quite exhausted with the teaching schedule until the afternoon, and facilities that support full day school implementation is not adequate, 3) the solution in overcoming the constraints experienced by the geography teacher is the geography teacher must use approaches, methods and media more interesting learning , the geography teacher must be good at managing the time between teaching and resting as well as maintaining the body condition to keep the body fit, and the government must provide adequate facilities in supporting the implementation of full day school.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the learning results of geography materials lithosphere dynamics and their impact on life through the application of the model of learning problem based learning. Data collection was done through the test results of the study. Using quantitative analysis. The minimum completeness criterion is 70. The results of the analysis show that the learning outcomes of students have increased seen from the average value of learning outcomes in the first cycle, namely 70.00 with the percentage of classical learning completeness which is 51.72% increased in the second cycle with an average value of 85.34 with the percentage of mastery learning in classical is 100%. The conclusion of this research is the application of the model of learning problem based learning can improve the results of studying the geography of the learners.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the comparison of the potential naturalresources in the Gunungkidul Coastel Region. This study used a qualitativemethod by collecting data in the form of literature studies, documentation,and observation, using a questionnaire instrument, so that the datapresented is in the form of graphs. The result of this study are there is acomparison of the potential natural resources consisting of 1) land use, 2)pond fisheries, 3) mining, 4) industry, and 5) tourism business activities inthe Gunungkidul Coastel Region.

Abstract

The research is Classroom Action Research Which aims to Increase Student Learning Achievement On subjects Geography Student ClassX In senior high school class X Galesong selatan Semester 2 of school year 2016/2017, as 33 students consist of 7 male students and 26 female students. This research was conducted in two cycles carried out during six meetings. Each cycle comes from the four stages of planning, that is execution, observation / evaluation and reflection. This type of research is a description. Technique of data collection is done by using the data of the study result and observation student activity. Analyzed by using quantitative and qualitative analysis. Minimum grade criteria class X PIS senior high chool Galesong Selatan is 75 for subjects Geography (1) On the basis of quantitative analysis,the result of the learning cicle I 42 percent of completenes l and second cycle with the percentage increase was 87.05 percent (2) Qualitatively, there was a change in the activity of students' geography learning in cycle I 66.7 percent experienced a change in attitude in cycle II 87.05 percent included in the active category . Based on the results of the analysis and discussion it was concluded that the application of Problem Based Learning can improve students' geography learning achievement in senior high school Galesong Selatan

Abstract

This research is aimed to find out 1) the way of society in adapting to Resort Pattunuang Karaenta 2) management form of Pattunuang Karaenta Resort at this time 3) management of Pattunuang Karaenta Resort area in ethnoekologi perspective. Informants come from Samangki Village and Labuaja Village using snowball sampling. Data obtained from observation, documentation and interview. The result of this research indicates that 1) the community can certainly be adapted to the environment that coexist with the nature of this in synchronized with existing theory and proven by the result of field 2) The arrangement of the area is an effort to realize the management of the area more effectively and efficiently include the preparation of zonation and work area arrangement. Zoning that has been established, periodically within three years time period is monitored and evaluated the effectiveness based on the existing zonation 3) people are still very dependent on natural products to support their basic needs, and how nature can be sustainably needed awareness and awareness of the community to protect the environment they.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the differences geography with use  Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition  (CIRC) with konvensional model in subject matter hidrosphere in Senior High School 3 Makassar. The study was a quasy experimental design involving two groups were taught using Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model and the group that wastaught using conventional learning models. The population in this study were all students of class X Senior High School 3 Makassar and sample are students of class X3 and X4 with purposive sampling. Technic data collection is done by giving a pre – test and post- test. The data were analyzed with descriptive and inferential techniques. Descriptive analysis showed that: (1) the study of students taught with conventional learning model gained an average score 65,25 Value obtained the percentage of students in the category of very less 0 % Category less 2.77 %, category 36.11 % enough , 61.12 %  good category and the category of very good 0 %. (2) the study of students taught with Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model gained an average score 79,05 Value obtained the percentage of students in the category of very less 0% Category less 0 %, category 0 % enough , 88,57 % good category and the category of very good11,43 %. (3) According to the result is  Thitung  = 10.410 with  Ttabel = 1,671 with the value α use the  0,05 (5 %) with  df 69. Jadi Thitung < Ttabel, point to that P-value for t-test is 0,000. Hal ini berarti 0,000 < 0,05, maka H0 ditolak. Berdasarkan nilai signifikasnsi tersebut, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar geografi antara siswa yang belajar dengan model CIRC.

Abstract

Students as part of the community many are using social media for social interaction with other social media user one of these social media Instagram. This research was conducted at SMAN 2 Palopo. This research aims to find out (1). How social interaction students of grade eleventh Social Science Department that is using Instagram. (2) How the role of social media Instagram in social interactions among students grade eleventh Social Science Department SMAN 2 in action. The population in this research is the grade eleventh Social Science Department who use Instagram as much as 103 students, while for the sample about 82 students using the Slovin’s formula. As for the technique of collecting data using the method of observation, things are observed i.e. profile SMAN 2 Palopo and process direct interaction as well as indirect interaction through social media and informer screen capture and then interview i.e., duration which used by students in a day for access Instagram, the role Instagram in social interaction of students, the reason students accesses Instagram and direct interaction during the process of using social media and documentation, be either Instagram content social interaction with social media Instagram. With the consent of the informants, screen-capture to in later analyzed in order to be known to students in Instagram functions interact. While the analysis used in the study is qualitative, descriptive. The results of this research show that most instrumental in Instagram can change student’s behavior. Instagram is more often used to find information related to entertainment. Instagram release as a means for students with poured it in the feature instastory. Postings-postings on Instagram can also make the students sympathize. There are 89% of students say that social media plays a role in their social interaction at school. There are 6% of students who consider Instagram may play a role in their social interactions and 5% who feel not acted.
