Abstract

In this paper, it will be studied existence and uniqueness solution  of equilibrium points for a SEIR model with infectious force in latent, infected and immune period. From the model it will be found investigated the existence and uniqueness solution  of points its equilibrium. Existence solution of points equilibrium proved by show its differential equations system of equilibrium continue, and uniqueness solution of points equilibrium proved by show its differential equation system of equilibrium differentiable continue.

Abstract

Base Transceiver Station is a device used to connect mobile-phone or smartphone in order to make long-distance communication, although in doing the movement or in transit from one place to another. Abstract

The availability of bovine bone waste is very abundant and has not been utilized optimally as raw material for the manufacture of Hydroxyapatit (HA).HA is widely used in the field of orthopedics and dentistry, because it is biocompatible and bioactive, bovine bone wastes are synthesized by thermal-mechanical methods to obtain HA. The first stage of bovine bone preparation is done to obtain HA from bovine bone waste by mechanical collision to obtain bone meal smooth. The second stage of calcination at a temperature of 800oC. The results of microstructural observation with SEM obtained granules obtained almost evenly smoothness with average size 42.25 μm in span (irregular spherical (30.29-136.4μm) and chemical composition with XRF obtained by Ca / P ratio of 1.61, close to the optimal value of HA of 1.67.

Abstract

The production of one ton of rice straw will produce 250 kg of dry hay (Isni, 2011). A sizeable amount, straw as one of the ingredients that are very effectively used as raw material for biogas. Straw into biogas conversion value reaches 250-350 liter / kg dry weight (Arati, 2009). For a perfect straw metabolism, staw should be cut first. Enumeration is done manually is less efficient because the enumeration is done by using a knife to cut hay will produce a piece of straw that are not uniform. Good hay cutting measure is about 2-5 cm. If the straw enumeration is done by machine, then it takes the feeder to the cutting machine tool that can feed the straw so that the resulting size of 2-5 cm. To make the necessary feeder, conveyor, DC motors, magnetic clutch and infrared sensors. Conveyor serves as a carrier of straw, DC motors as actuators, magnetic clutch as conveyor control and infrared sensor as a measure of pieces of straw. After testing, show that it works and works well.

Abstract

Identification of active compounds in cacao pod rind has been done. Cacao pod rind contained active compound alkaloid, theobromine (3,7-dimethylxanthine). Cacao pod rind extract contained some other active compounds mixed flavonoid or condensed tannin such as anthocyanin, anthocyanidin, catechin, epicatechin, epigallocatechin, and leucoanthocyanidin. Cacao pod rind was extracted by maceration using methanol 70% and fractionated with hexane and ethyl acetate to obtain polar extracts. This study used an experimental method that was analyzed descriptively using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) and Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS). Phytochemical screening test showed cocoa pod rind extracts contained alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, terpenoids, and saponins. GC-MS analysis showed that cacao pod rind extracts contained 24 compounds. Polar extracts analysis with LC-MS obtained 10 compounds contained hydroxy groups, which can be used as corrosion inhibitors on metal. The result of this study showed that cocoa pod rind has potential as corrosion inhibitor. It also has potential as an anti-bacterial and antioxidant.

Abstract

In fabrication of compos mixing machine based on microcontroller, an AC motor 1 phase used to rotate the container and it will help the farmer work in stirring and mixing compos material. In order to display the process, a LCD is use in this fabrication.The design of this machine is divided into two categories, hardware design and software design. The hardware consist of an AVRATmega 8535  microcontroller minimum system , a LCD, Keypad,  an AC Motor 1 phase, a Capacitor, and a relay.  In the order hand for software design, a Code vision-AVR program language as the program application. The data analysis techniques are conducted by testing the machine performs.  Not only by measuring operating voltages, but also testing the microcontroller with a program application.This machine is based on microcontroller AVRATmega8535 and using C language in programming. In order to display the mixing output, time setting is displayed on LCD. The optimum result started from the first 10 seconds ON condition and the second of 10 seconds ON condition should have a 30 seconds time off.

Abstract

The subgrade is very important on road construction, because its functions for support the traffic loads. The subgrade is not able to bearing capacity the traffic load , can cause damage such as cracks, settlement,and deformation on the flexible pavement or rigid pavement. to solve in this problems, it is necessary to improve the mechanical properties of subgrade for increasing soil bearing capacity and reducing the swelling potential. The Sicincin ring road - Lubuk Alung, Padang Pariaman district which has deformed, settlement and cracks on the road pavement, caused by poor bearing capacity of the subgrade. To solve these problems, it is necessary to have the soil improvements (stabilization) for subgrade In this paper soil stabilization is done by mixing soil with lime and rice husk ash (variations in lime content of 5%, 8%, 11%, 14% and 17%) and rice husk ash (constant 2.5%) .The compaction test and CBR test is carried for each variation. The results in this study obtained the most optimal percentage of lime + rice husk ash is 11%, CBR design is 25%, and swelling value of 0.13%. CBR value of subgrade without lime and rice husk ash obtained CBR = 2.3%. So that there is a significantly increase in CBR value if using lime and rice husk ash as stabilization material for subgrade. These results can be used by experts to choose effective stabilization methods.

Abstract

Data communication technology allows the building of a network of  computers with online applications.  With the Padang  State  Polytechnic  library  system  that  still  uses  a manual  system in the form of  books  and  cards – cards that contain data – data book is considered not efficient anymore, so it takes a library of WEB - based information systems. With the utilization of internet technology in tended for delivery and the need for rapid information retrieval, facilitate student and informed the user in the title of books desired, assist the Polytechnic library Country Meadow in logging the books, because of the internet as a very broad network is an effective and efficient means for this application.
