Abstract

Load balancing is load balancing activities in each phase distribution transformers are not balanced, the goal to reduce the magnitude of the neutral current transformer because inequality between phases. This activity was done by measuring each phase transformer load, calculate the average current in each phase, and shifted the burden of heavily loaded phase to phase which has a lot fewer burdens. Load balancing is done on a regular basis every 6 months. PT. PLN (Persero) Rayon Bukittinggi perform load balancing on the distribution transformer substation 100 KVA Distribution Tabek Gadang Tower 2 times on Wednesday, 15th May 2013 at 19:30 pm and Thursday, 16 May 2013 at 19:30 pm. First, by moving the load phase T to phase S at 18 A. Second, by moving the burden from phase to phase R T at 9 A. and load phase T to S phase by 11 A. load balancing distribution transformers 100 KVA Substation Tabek Gadang Tower is near parity with the transformer neutral currents in 14.18 A.

Abstract

Industrial of electronics developed in many fields in the middle of 1990s. Base on this situation, the manufacturer produce the product by increased the function, display, low cost, low power consumption and small size. This kind of product must be supported by complex system, small number of integrated circuit and tiny printed circuit board (PCB). Many integrated technologies such as submicron semiconductor, PCB technology, and the using of PCB surface maximal. The market situation push the producer used modern technology in design and testing for example Programmable Logic Device (PLD). It is the integrated circuit using digital logic which can be changed this function by programming and can be used to industrial application. Programmable Logic Device (PLD) technology can be used to many logical programming by using only one IC. The application of this technology can be found in IC 22V10 with 24 pins. This IC can be applied to replace the function of IC 74299 as encoder decimal to biner to scanning keypad.

Abstract

Nowdays, the production of herbal medicines to industrial scale household progressively increased as the emergence of the phenomenon in the society for the re-use of natural medicines / herbal derived from plants as one solution to health. In order for the herbal medicines are not easily damaged and can be stored for a long time, the drying process is carried out at a temperature of 300C–90oC (Depkes RI, 1985). The herbal medicine used in this study is the Sungkai leaves which is dried using dryer that applies NTC temperature sensor 47D-15, 808H5V5 humidity sensors, and microcontroller ATMega 8535. NTC sensor 47D-15 serves to detect the temperature to be set at the desired range during the drying process occurs while the humidity sensor 808H5V5 detects moisture of Sungkai leaves after the drying process.

Abstract

Buck converter is one of DC chopper which has the function of stabilizing the voltage to lower voltage where the output voltage is lower than the input voltage without having to remove power is relatively large. By using a buck converter is a high voltage can be reduced to lower as you wish without losing power is relatively large. The voltage output of the buck converter is able to charge the battery. The magnitude of the output voltage depends dutycyle switching generated by the microcontroller. This tool is also equipped with a flow sensor is used to detect the charging current into the battery. If the charging current is reduced, the buzzer will sound. The tool is based microcontrollers using BASCOM ATMEGA8535, which can generate a PWM with dutycyle specified. Dutycyle determined the size of the input voltage and the desired output.

Abstract

Real-time system works in a limited period of time in accordance with the deadline time given. The success of a real time system performance is determined by several time components such as release time, processing time and time deadlines. Problems arise when the processing time is not enough due to the delay factor deadline or other factors, while the deadline time has come and the process had to be stopped. When the process is stopped, the results obtained have not been enough to be used as the end result of data systems fail to meet the given time constraint. There are several ways to overcome this, one is to perform preprocessing before the end of the process is done. In the sequential preprocessing system multioperand summation of the operand-operand which can be summed sort operand-operand which has significant influence on the results done first. When the process had to be stopped due to a deadline is coming then the accuracy of the results produced may be used as the final result. This study utilized the method as a preprocessing ascend in sorting systems to sort operand-operand values to be summed from largest to smallest. The results show the accuracy of the rate of change of the summation process in accordance with the needs of real-time system when the process had to be stopped before the end.

Abstract

At the last project had made System to fill t the Automaticc reservoir. This equipment used electrode sensor level such as cuprum which use to detection the high water. Out put t his sensor will be proses by controller and controller give relay instruction to solenoid valve. If the water lack of the level, Controller will be active the valve antil the reservoir full, if the writer want the perfect equipment, the writer add the controller open close automatic valve. That worck is based on the distance of people to valve. If the distance of people near to valve, so the valve will open it self. As open loop controll system, valve use microcontroller AVR Atmega 8535 to Active the relay.

Abstract

Nowadays, the need to stay ahead of the competencies is one of the company's focus. In an effort to stay afloat in the competitive conditions, companies can perform a variety of information technology development. One of the information technologies that are currently being intensively developed is the use of Data Mining. Data Mining provides benefits to process data into useful information for a company. The main pont of the research on this journal is to establish data mining models to identify TelkomFlexi postpaid customers who have the possibility to move to another provider (churn analysis).Churn analysis is done so that the company can choose the most appropriate strategy in retaining customers. Type of data mining is used to churn analysis is classification.

Abstract

Biogas is a gas fermentation of organic materials which contain most of the gas methane, carbon dioxide, few of carbon monoxide, hydrogen, hydrogen sulfide, nitrogen and ammonia. One of technological development of biogas production is anaerobic reactor. The processing of biogas technology is influenced by several factors, such as temperature and humidity. In this study, temperature is adjusted using a spiral system and biogas reactor which submerged into the water. The temperature of water can be controlled. In another case there is reactor without temperature setting as a comparison. The observation shows that the reactor in the water produces most biogas, reactor spiral in second place and reactor without heating in the last one.

Abstract

This study aimed to create an information system on UPT.PPKM Padang State Polytechnic where the system is initially UPT.PPKM are still using Microsoft Access to process data that existing research. So that would make it difficult for employees to process the data, find the data if necessary and to report the research itself. The results of this study are expected to generate a summary report every major research, courses, lecturers so as to facilitate the search data related to research quickly. Abstract

Comply with the law is to be done by every citizen . As with the enactment of Law no. 22 of 2009, regarding Traffic and Transportation . In Article 107 requires a two-wheeled vehicle riders should always turn on the headlights , and article 112 , every motorist to change lanes or turn and should provide a signal 30 meters before, and turn off the lights and signals after moving lane or turn . However , riders wheeled vehicles often forget to turn on the main lights are always on and off after the turn signal lights . In this study, the authors make the automation to turn on the main light by using light neutral ( at the time porsenling neutral position ) , if the light is neutral on the main lights off and if the neutral light off the main lights on . For turn signal lights / moving point , in accordance with the provisions required distance , by exploiting holes in the brake disc front disc and using optho-interuptter sensor , then the distance can be calculated . From the experimental results , obtained sensor headlights are always on when porsneling not neutral , while the proximity sensor to turn the signal lights / moving point with average error is 0.0375 %
