Abstract

The effort of increasing result of study and learning effectivity is a main purposeadmired to achieve in every learning process. Because of that, choosing learningstrategy and ability to implement it become important to conduct. In a newparadigm of learning, learning process must be centered on student and it isbegun with context/real problem faced by student in their everyday life. Thepurpose is students are able to see the interconnection of subject they learn withreal condition in their environment. By this approaching, students are hoped toknow the important meaning of what they learn and what it is learnt for, hencethey are highly motivated to study. The contextual approaching foccuses on theimportance of bringing the problem faced by students in their everyday life. Themain problem brought in this research is enhancing the student’s result of studyby implementing concept achievement learning model with contextualappoaching and learning effectivity applied. The research subject is students ofclass VII1 SMPN 3 Minas in year 2007/2008, and design of research used is Onegroup Post Tes Design. Research data are collected by doing a test for student’sresult of study, quetionaire for learning motivation and class observation forteacher and student activities, and organizing of learning. Data analysis used isdescriptive and inferensial statistic analysis. The result of data analysisi resumedthat the emplementation of concept achievement learning model with contextualapproaching could increase the student’s result of study and effective to apply inmathematic learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of mathematics beliefs ofmathematics education students and their skills in problem solving. The sampleconsisted of 36 junior high school students with the subject Social Arithmetic andComparison. Data were collected by using Mathematics Beliefs Questionnaire andtest questions based on a topic distribution variabel random. The data were analyzeddescriptive statistics and inferensial statistics using Pearson correlation and t-test.The findings showed that there was a moderate correlation between the twovariables. There were no significant differences in terms of mathematical beliefs ofstudents but there is a significant difference to student’s skills in problem solvingconsepts and procedures based on student ability. The components of mathematicsbeliefs were divided into self beliefs in mathematics, belief in mathematics natureand beliefs in teaching and learning of mathematics. Most students especially thehigh level students had better beliefs in mathematics nature than in the other threecomponents. However the corelation of student’s beliefs with student’s skills inproblem solving was 0,675 and sig. 0.017. There was a significant relation betweenstudent’s beliefs and their skills in problem solving consepts and procedures.

Abstract

This research done as a mean to identifies species of Mikoriza Arbuskula and density found incombustible secondhand peat soil in town Pekanbaru, Riau. Determining the location of arandom sampling conducted at the location of burned peat that occurred in August 2009,the sites are located at: Arengka 2 kecamatan payung Sekaki street, Tuanku Tambusaikecamatan payung Sekaki street and Delima ujung kecamatan Tampan street. Every locationof observation is taken by 1 check with 3 times fairish restating 30x30 cm with depth of 15 cm assampling. Out of three combustible secondhand peat soil locations investigated, found 5 species ofMikoriza Arbuskula that is: Glomus proliferum, Glomus intraradices, Glomus sp. 1, Glomus sp. 2and Acaulospora tuberculata. Then species of Mikoriza Arbuskula having as of wide swampy forestcompared to other Mikoriza Arbuskula´s species is group from Genus Glomus. Because in generalGlomus very lenient to condition of extreme area.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran genetika dan evolusi melalui model pembelajaran PBL pada mahasiswa biologi FKIP UNRI. Subjek penelitian yaitu mahasiswa biologi semester 4 (empat ) yang berjumlah 40 orang. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Instrumen penelitian berupa perangkat pembelajaran (Silabus, SAP, L K M , Buku Ajar dan alat pengumpul data (test dan lembaran observasi mahasiswa). Parameter penelitian yaitu kemampuan kognitiC afektif; psikomotorik, hasil belajar dan ketuntasan belajar mahasiswa. Hasilpenelitian menunjukan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan kognitif mahasiswa untuk siklus I yaitu 75,79(baik) meningkat menjadi 85,0 ( baik sekali) untuk siklus n , rata-rata kemampuan afektif mahasiswa untuk siklus I yaitu 68,73% (baik) menjadi 68,28% ( baik ) untuk siklus 11, dan rata-rata kemampuan psikomotorik mahasiswa imtuk siklus I yaitu 86,30% (amat baik) meningkat menjadi 86,44% ( amatbaik ) untuk siklus II. Hasil belajar mahasiswa meningkat, pada siklus 1 diperoleh rata-rata nilai76,79 (beiik) menjadi 78,21 (baik) pada siklus II. Sedangkan ketuntasan belajar mahasiswa secara individu siklus 1 adalah 80,0% (tuntas) dan pada siklus 11 adalah 95,0 % (tuntas). Dengan demikian penerapan model pembelajaran PBL dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran genetika dan evolusi pada mahasiswa biologi FKIP UNRI.

Abstract

Phenol into the waters have an impact on environmental pollution when the phenol content of that exceeds the predetermined threshold is 0.001mg/L.Chitin derived from shrimp shell wastes can be utilized as adsorben adsorption of phenol with adsorbtioni.this search process aims to determine the absorption maximum chitin by variations in temperature and concentration of phenol .the treatment shrimp shell waste to obtain chitin includes washing ,dryng,grinding,soaking with HCL 2N to remove minerals (demineralization) and soaking with NaOH 2N TO remove proteins (deproteinasi).then performed the absorption process with adsorption time 60 minutes,stiring speed 150 rpm,temperature variation 30;40;50⁰C and concentration of phenol 50,75,100,125ppm.from searched result is obtained of the absorbed phenol on chitin 5gr amounted to 4,479with concentration of phenol 100ppm at 30⁰C.

Abstract

Bagas tebu dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai adosrben utnuk kepentingan tertentu seperti pengolahan untuk penyerapan pada zat warna seperti metilen biru yang mengandung warna biru, dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui daya serap bagas tebu tersebut. Dalam pembuatan arang bagas tebu yaitu diarangkan dan dihancurkan setelah itu diayak dengan pengayak ukuran 100 mesh, selanjutnya dilakukan proses penyerapan dengan menggunakan zat warna metilen biru dengan variasi berat yaitu, 0,8, 1,6, 2,4, dan 3,2 gram. Dan variasi waktu 30, 60,90 dan 120 menit dengan perbandingan konsentrasi 50 ppm dan 100 ppm. Didapat hasil daya serap pada menit terakhir untuk konsentrasi 100 ppm pada waktu 120 menit dengan berat adsorben 3,2 gram yaitu 98,87 dan daya serap maksimum untuk konsentrasi 50 ppm pada menit 90 dengan berat adsorben 3,2 gram yaitu 97.47%. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa didapatnya daya serap maksimum arang bagas tebu yaitu konsentrasi 50 ppm pada berat adsorben dan 3,2 gram dengan efisiensi penyerapan 97,47%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the cotribution of physic learning through Sains Enviroment Technology Society (SETS) approach implementation in the result of student psychomotor skill achievement. The subject of this research is 30 students of SDN 001 Kelayang in periode 2008-2009. The chosen of main subject is device of optic. Data is collected by giving the applicative psychomotor test after finishing the subject. The data of this result is analyszed descriptively with consist of; student’s achievement and learning completeness. The result analysis showed the student’s achievement is categorized very hight, learning and material completeness of psychomotor skill is categorized hight.

Abstract

Developing students skill in solving story-based question is one of infortant objectives mathematics teaching atschool, since such story-based question will upgrade student’s ability in problem solving. Problem solvingability should be possed by students, because through this activity student are expected to understandmathematic materials well, and indirectly the creativity of students can be attracted. In fact, during learningprocess is undergoing, most students find it difficult answering story-based question. On other hand, if thequestion not based on stories, they can answer perfectly. Besides that teachers conjess that they rarely give andteach story-based question for such questionsplaced at last number and teacher are unexperienced on how tosolve the questions. Therefore, class action research is badly needed to increase student learning result basesdon story-based question learning. By doing so, giving story-based question refering to the daily students willgive much attention the use and benefit of mathematics. It stand to reson students will give much attentiontoward the leaning process that will give positive effect toward their learning outcome. Abstract

Geoelectrical method uses variation of resistivity values to study subsurface geology structure, thereforeit can be applied to explore groundwater, pollution of groundwater, and geothermal exploration. In thisstudy, a physical modeling was built in the laboratory, that is used to resistivity measurement on coalsamples. The measurements employ Wenner-Alpha configuration. The result of the tests show that coallayer can be detected based on resistivity variation. The semi-antharasite sample showed higherresistivity than bituminous sample. This result is in accondance with the fact that semi antharsite drierthan bituminous sample.
