Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the effectiveness of learning through the application oflearning strategies in the teaching of quantum order type STAD cooperative learning. Implementation ofthis strategy refers to (1) determination of the action plan; (2) the actions of the application of quantumteaching strategies in order STAD cooperative type, (3) observation of teacher and student activities, and(4) to reflect on the effectiveness of implementation strategies learning. This course consists of two cyclesof meetings 3 times per cycle. The data collected in this study is the observation and data on learningoutcomes. Data on teacher and student activities, and classroom atmosphere using observation sheets andquestionnaires. While studying the results of data obtained through daily tests test each completed onecycle. Data analysis used descriptive statistical analysis. Based on research results during the cycle I andcycle II shows the effectiveness of the application of teaching learning strategies in order quantumcooperative learning can improve teacher and student activities, improve student learning outcomes, andclassroom atmosphere for the better.Keywords: Effectiveness, Quantum Teaching, Learning Cooperative Type STAD

Abstract

Decision making basically is choose an alternative. Chooses a decision often bewilders because variousfactors between it. firstly, lack of information causing height of Un-expected Value and second, plenty ofconsideration that causes choice taken is irrational. in general, wrong decision can cause imprecise action andgenerates loss. Some mathematical models has been developed to calculate and analyses every choice indetermining a decision. one of them is Expected Pay Off and Expected Loss mehod. manually that methodwould be difficult and needs time to calculate. Therefore need to exploit ability of computer to calculatequickly and gives objectively and rational solution to userfirst step of this systems development is by mapping mathematically number of alternatives which will beselected and advantage value percentage or loss from every the alternative. hereinafter every value is input tocomputer and processed applies mathematical equation :EP will be calculated repeatedly and compared to every result of its. the expected information from thissystem is an an alternative Information that is most rational for user. Abstract

A research of crude oil contaminated soil (COCS) by addition urea and TSP for decreasing Total PetroleumHydrocarbon (TPH). The research consist of three steps (1) Biodegradability assessment (2) BioavailabillityAssessment (3) Prelimanary Confirmation.The result showed that TPH of COCS was able to decrease until 3.722% with using 35 g Urea/14 kgCOCS. Abstract

Kenerak (Goniothalamus umbrosus) is one species from genus of Goniothalamus and becomes sources ofimportant traditional medicines among local people in Southeast Asia.Goniothalamus plants areconsidered to have great sources of pharmaceuthecial substances. The goniothalamine has a function bothas an anti breast cancer agent and as an abortive agent for early pregnancy. Based on this the preliminarystudies was carried out on germination rapids of kenerak using seed explants showed that best result forgermination rapids on MS A4 (0,5 mg/l 2,4-D) medium after 3-8 weeks culture and totals germination onE6 (2,0 mg/l 2,4-D + 0,5 mg/l BAP) medium 80%. Compered convensional methods is very long timeabout 6-12 moons. In vitro technique can be used for overcoming dormancy seeds of kenerak.Key words: Kenerak, 2,4-D, BAP, Seed .

Abstract

Expression process of under earth surface can be done variosly, one method used is resistivities methodwhich can be used in geothermal exploration, geotechnical application, ancient object seeking, seeking ofground water and others. Saturated water zone determination the above tunnel sasaksaat PadalarangBandung Regency very need, this matter done to know distribution aquifer and earth coat resistivitiesabove tunnel Sasaksaat. This research use Wenner-Schlumberger method with two trajectory direction,that is vertical trajectory of tunnel and unidirectional of tunnel. Obtained some saturated water zone, thisarea have very low resistivities. Generally each trajectory have saturation water point, among other thingsat straighten trajectory, trajectory 1 at 75 meters, trajectory 2 at 80 meters and trajectory 3 at 50 meterspoint. Each +- 10 meters depth from surface since near surface trajectory 3. Abstract

Evaluation of students learning result at department of Chemistry educationFKIP Riau University on 1st Physical Chemistry subject is not reliable yet. It occursbecause students are not ready in lecture caused by less knowledge. It is necessary todevelop ad improve learning quality on this subject by giving task of doing summarybefore and after lesson. Subject of this research is student in 1st Physical Chemistry classon even semester 2006/2008. There are 32 student in this class. From summary sheetsbefore lesson, almost of all student make their summary in order basic theory. Whereasfrom summary sheets after lesson, student just write what was has been taught by lectureand not know much. Observation result as long as learning process shows that studenttrend are active. Development result shows 28 student achieve known degree ≥ 65% and4 students achieve know degree ≤ 65%. This result also shows that learning reliableclassically is of 87,5 %.Keywords: Reliable, Physical Chemistry, Summary

Abstract

Class action research aims to describe your activities of teachers and students, learning management,cognitive skills of students. Research methods to the model Kemmis and Mc.Taggart, with thecontextual approach in the framework of cooperative learning TAI type. Implementation steps includeplanning, action, and reflection upon the actions carried out as many as two-cycle. Results of researchshowed the activities of teachers and students considered good, good management of your learning,and cognitive skills of students was increasing from one cycle and two cycles. Abstract

The low of achievement students in learning mathematics is still a problem which has not been solvedyet. This is because of various factors like the designed of learning strategies. The teachers do notconsider the stages of students’ mental development and neither facilitate with the optimal learningfacilities. Beside the school facilities have not been sufficient for teaching geometry. These factors arecauses that materials delivery is not appropriate with students’ ability; therefore, we should do effortfor the improvement. This research is the implementation of cooperative learning with the aid the minilaboratory through Bruner’s theory. The aim of this research is to know the influence of cooperativelearning with the aid of mini laboratory through Bruner’s theory which is related with the entry abilityof the students. This research was conducted at the second semester of the 3rd of SD 013 TampanPekanbaru in academic year 2007/2008. The research design is treatment by block design (2x2), andthe sampel is 77 pupils. The data was gain from the result of learning which had been tried out forvalidity and reliability. The result of the data analysis indicates: (1) The cooperative learning methodwith the aid of mini laboratory through Bruner’s theory is more effective to increase the students’achievement in mathematics than the conventional leaning model;(2) The cooperative learning methodwith the aid of mini laboratory through Bruner’s theory is more effective to increase the studentsachievement in mathematics with high entry ability than the conventional learning model; (3) Thecooperative learning method with the aid of mini laboratory through Bruner’s theory is more effectiveto increase the students achievement in mathematics with low entry ability than the conventionallearning model; (4) There is no significant interaction between learning method and the level ofstudents’ ability to the result of learning. The result of this research indicate that there is an influencein using the cooperative learning method with the aid of the mini laboratory through Bruner’s theoryon student achievement in mathematics with different level of student entry ability.Keyword: Cooperative Learning, Mini Laboratory, Bruner’s theory
