Abstract

Low carbon steel represent one of material which is generally used in a machine component. It has good formability and machineability, and also having the nature of able to good welding ability. Because welding can causing the happening of change metallurgi at metal, deformation and tension termal. To increase strength of extension welding that is through hot treatment by Annealing And Normalizing. The ultimated stress of specimen, highest owned by non-welding non-heat treatment (= 53,24 kgf/mm2 by e = 5,552%). The highest ultimated stress of welding specimen owned by double type V (X) weld - normalizing specimen ( = 52,85 kgf/mm2). This matter effect of level wide surface weld formed by double type V (X). The ultimate stress of nonwelding non-heat treatment specimen, highest tension is  = 11,7504 kgf/mm2. Bending test for the welding specimen, highest tension owned by spesimen Normalizing – Square type  (I) ( = 12,4032 kgf /mm2).

Abstract

Free jet flow coming out from a rectangulaire orifice has temperature higher than than the ambient. This flow attack a cilynder so the wall temperature of cilynder will increase. The results show that the small temperature gradient at cilynder wall occur when the cilynder is palced far from the orifice. Near the orifice or jet source so great temperature gradient occur at the front wall of the cilynder. While at the back wall, starting from the separasion region, the temperature gradient is not high. The wider of orifice cross section the smaller temperature of waal cilynder.

Abstract

The rule of goverment for converting kerosene to gas made problem in rural to get gas. At this study have conducted modeling, manufacturing and testing a biomass gasification stove. The stove have 74.5 cm total height, 42 cm burner height, 16.5 cm diameter dan ash hopper . The results of eksperiment using rubber wood and cob as fuel showed stove could produce flame 30 until 40 minute with 4 until 6 for one bed fuel, the time for boiling water are 4 until 6 minute.

Abstract

Thermal management is an important part of the design process of most electronic devices. Thermal management is important both at the component level and system level plays an important role in device quality, efficiency, and, above all, itsreliability. One method of thermal management in electronic devices is the use of water-cooling block on the CPU. In this study conducted an analysis of heat transfer using CPU cooling Finite element method. Water analysis results showed that using the CPU block is longer fins transfer heat value better than the CPU water block using shorter fins, with a comparison of numerical and analytical calculation of temperature difference on each dimension of the fin surface obtained between 0.005% to 0.7 %.
