Abstract

Due to the advancement of information and communication technology, securing data or information is one of the important task to do. Cryptography is one of a computational science that develop very fast in order to protect data or information. One of method used in cryptography is Hill chiper, i.e.a methode used to convert plaintext to become chipertext vice versa, by using a matrix. Hill chiper is one of cryptography algorithm using symmetrical keys. Hill chiper algorithm uses an invertible matrix n x n as a key to encrypt, to covert plaintext to become chipertext, or to decrypt, to convert chipertext back to plaintext. For encryption the plaintext, which is converted into number, is multiplied by the enchipering matrix, and the results, which in number, are again converted into texts. Due to the fact that it uses matrix as a key for encryption or decryption, then Hill chiper is very difficult to break. In some references, text to be converted has 26 alphabets and the matrix used to convert is also even modular. In fact, the length of the different texts to be converted is not limited to 26, it can be longer than 26, and the converting matrix can also be odd modular. This paper disscuss the Hill chiper cryptography by using a matrix not only even modular but also odd modular.

Abstract

Making of Academic Information System of Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Surya Nusantara, Pematangsiantar uses a structured approach, while the method of development using prototype with designing technique that was preceded by the collection of observation data and interviews are classified in the Waterfall method stages. While the tools used in designing the system form Use Case Diagrams, HTML, PHP, Javascript, CSS and use some software such as XAMPP, Browser, StarUML, Sublime Text 3, Notepad + +. The testing of this system using Black box testing, where this type of testing is considered the most appropriate to represent the use of menus are made. The built system is presented on a client server so that it can be accessed by all users of lecturers and students. The system built is expected to overcome most of the existing problems such as reporting the value of students online, online registration form input KRS online. Online academic information system is expected to continue to be developed to handle every need in academic administration bureau of Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Surya Nusantara, Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

The objective to be achieved in this study is to provide a system that can be used by voters in choosing the desired candidate through Android-based smartphone media. The implementation of the e-voting system in the selection of outstanding students at Universitas Advent Indonesia (UNAI) showed that the interest in using the e-voting system was very high and it was very helpful in the selection process. More than 84% of voters who used the e-voting system in the selection of UNAI's outstanding students gave an excellent response and rating on the use of the application. From all of the users, 81 voters gave a brief review of the application and it usage, 68.4% of them gave a brief review that the application was very helpful in the selection process of outstanding students at UNAI, while 6.3% stated that the application still needed improvement. In the future this system needs to be equipped with an analysis of the system response when using it simultaneously by many users.

Abstract

Measuring employee productivity is a difficult task but a must if an organization want to managae and improve its employee performance. Therefore, and information system is needed which support organization in employee’s data recording process effectively. West Indonesian Union Mission (WIUM) is an organization that have hundreds employee that distributed in eight conferences/fields mission regionally separated, needs an information technology based system to acquire data and record all church’s and church pastor’s activities and services. The system will assist top management by giving adequate information in process of policy and decision making as well as careers promotion. Research aimed to develop a system that match WIUM’s requirements using System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method, most popular method in information system development. Model that used in system development is waterfall model with stage: (1) Requirement Analysis, (2) Design (3) Implementation (4) Testing and (5) Maintenance. Result of Research is a web based information system that WIUM can use to record, store and share data and information of church’s and church pastor’s activities, services and performance.

Abstract

Business Process Model and Notation, commonly known as BPMN, is a concept used to model a business process. Through the use of BPMN, the modeling of a business process in a business flow can be clearly and in detail. The relationship between entities and any activities that occur can be documented on a model that is designed. In the Procurement Department, many activities are carried out, including procurement of goods, purchasing procedures, inventory mechanisms, steps to purchase goods and other matters. All these activities in fact do not yet have a standard model that must be used as a reference in carrying out activities as exemplified above. Therefore, with the modeling using BPMN, the Procurement Department can have a standard guide to every business process that occurs.

Abstract

Business process research that occurs in the Divif 1 Kostrad Cooperative aims to determine the qualityof services provided to the members. The problem that arises is how the impact of service users on thesystem occurs in the Savings and Loan Cooperative and whether it will be influenced by membersperceptions of the quality of the system used right now. 89 sampled respondents are divided into threedivisions using purposive sampling technique with calculation of Slovin formula and data collectionthrough questionnaires. The research objectives are: (1) Knowing how users influence the servicesystem in the Savings and Loan Cooperative on additional functions in the system or renewal of systemsupport tools. (2) Knowing whether perceptions of satisfaction and feasibility perceptions influence theacceptance of members of the Tentara Nasional Indonesia (TNI) Kostrad from the impact of using theSavings and Loan Cooperative System. The author calculates the results of the research usingSugiyono’s quantitative research method formula. The results of the research from the questionnaireindicate that perceptions of satisfaction and perceptions of feasibility influence the impact of using theSavings and Loan Cooperative System.Keywords: purposive sampling, quantitative research, SPSS, savings and loan cooperatives

Abstract

Employee Performance Evaluation is a very important thing in business activities. The difference in principlebetween superiors and subordinates makes business activities sometimes run not as desired. It needs anemployee performance evaluation activity that is useful for eliminating dissent, taking employeeperformance data, and seeing the development of the company with workers who have been employed.Therefore, the author wants to build a web-based program to make employees evaluation becomes easierand faster. And so writer tries to make a research, and the title of this research is “Designing an EmployeePerformance Evaluation System at PT Paramount Bed Indonesia”. With the existence of this web-basedprogram, it is expected that the use of technology will become more optimal, especially in the field ofemployee performance evaluation. The objectives of this study are: 1) Facilitating employee performanceevaluation activities. 2) Give a more accurate assessment, because all of the data taken will go directly intothe database. 3) Minimizing costs that have been used so far, such as paper, ink, etc. 4) To create easierdata monitoring that has been submitted by the user through the admin page. 5) Easy to determine thebest employees through the administrator page. The research method used in writing is the WaterfallModel. This employee evaluation system is expected to help PT Paramount Bed Indonesia to evaluateemployees without using paper and ink. The department head is also expected to be able to fill outevaluations through Smartphones, PCs and Notebooks. This evaluation system is also expected to assistthe General Affairs Department in managing evaluation data more accurately.Key Words: Information Systems, Evaluation.

Abstract

Scholarship decision support systems conducted by Universitas Advent Indonesia still use manual processes. Manual Decision support systems for scholarships have problems that require a long time, consumes the mind and energy to choose students who want to get a scholarship, and have a fairly large error rate. The research objectives are (1) making an application that is useful for assisting in the process of supporting scholarship decisions at Universitas Advent Indonesia and (2) facilitating the ranking process of prospective students who receive scholarships at the Universitas Advent Indonesia more efficiently. This research uses SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) research methodology and also uses the interview method to the related parties of the scholarship to obtain the required scholarship criteria data. The results obtained from the construction of a scholarship decision support system are the system has been able to process the ranking and display the selected data.

Abstract

The e-learning system is one of the supporting elements in the teaching and learning process, where the process is carried out through internet media. The e-learning system used at the Universitas Advent Indonesia is Moodle. With this Moodle students can upload assignments and download lecture material provided by the lecturer. Whereas for lecturers can upload lecture material and download assignments that have been collected by the students. The purpose of this study are (1) To find out whether the entire menu in the Moodle has been used optimally or not, (2) to find out how the perception of benefits and ease of acceptance of users of the Moodle of the Adventist University of Indonesia. While the results of this study are (1) The acceptance of the Moodle at the Faculty of Information Technology Universitas Advent Indonesia was declared good, (2) the overall use of the menu in Moodle is not optimal yet, and (3) the perception of benefits and easiness influences user acceptance of Moodle.

Abstract

The development of technology is rapidly inreased, especially in the development of smartphones and also learning media. By technology support, various activities can be carried out quickly and easily as well as the activities of the learning and teaching process. The purpose of this study is to analyze and design an E-Learning system that can facilitate students and lecturers at Universitas Advent Indonesia (UNAI) to be able to carry out the learning and teaching process easily. The waterfall model is the SDLC method used in designing and building this system. The results of this study is an Android based e-learning application that can be used to perform tasks such as login/logout, password change, create/delete/change classes and assignments, chat, view user profiles, send announcements, and create new accounts. In the future, it is expected that this application can be linked to the servers of Universitas Advent Indonesia, can provide task notifications before the expiration of the assignment, and improve the user interface so that the display can be more attractive.
