Abstract

PO Nikko Putra is a bus company which serves Yogyakarta - Tempel route. The condition of bus machine which have old and lack of maintenance will cause high exposure a whole body vibration felt by the driver. The long exposure whole body vibration will generate health troubles, one of them degradation of visus. This research is aimed to know the correlation whole body vibration and working time with visus degradation of the driver. This research is conducted observasionally with cross sectional design. Research population are 55 people and the sample obtained is 26 people which meet the inclusion criterion. Exopusure whole body vibration suffered by driver is 1.257 m /s² presence during 11 hours in one day, according to ISO 2631 included in category exopusure limit. The result of correlation analysis on Pearson coefficient of exposure whole body vibration and visus for right eye with p 0.981 and the left eye p 0.592, hence Ho is accepted because the p value > 0.05. Whereas, the analysis on the working time with degradation of right eye visus with p 0.709 and the left eye with p 0.990, hence Ho is accepted because probability value > 0.05. This research conclude that there is no correlation whole body vibration and working time with degradation of visus that the driver. Keyword: driver, whole body vibration and visus

With the addition of glass wool, active charcoal, water or other dissimilar substance having the character of adsorb or absorb. this Research target to Know the degradation of rate of gas emission throw away the carbon monoxide ( CO) with the active charcoal addition a motor vehicle. Method: this was experimentant research by one group pre and post design descriptively and analytic. Sample of research some of gas emission throw away the carbon monoxide (CO) high secretory the muffler of motorcycle honda supra, measuring instrument used in this research field observation with the active charcoal addition muffler motorcycle, and measuring instrument of inspection of carbon monoxide rate (CO) By analysis means of Auto Check 974/S. Analysis the data use the one way Anova. Result : test of Anova of degradation of rate of gas emission throw away the carbon monoxide ( CO) with the active charcoal addition 50, 100, 150 gram of motor vehicle. Assess the mean difference average the rate 150gr to rate 50gr showing number  - 1.17600* meaning active charcoal gift 150gr better the than gift 50gr. Seen from value sig for the line of fifth assess sig 0,035 < 0,05 meaning Ho refused and Ha accepted so that there degradation difference by sig. Abstract

Background: Poor nutritional status of children in Puskesmas Sewon I in 2007 amounted to 0.60%. Family Nutrition Awareness Status in Puskesmas Sewon I was at 47.06%. Average consumption of energy and protein adequacy of children under the minimum requirements is 19.8% to 9.9% for en-ergy and protein. Nutritional status is influenced by several factors, either directly or indirectly and purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of nutrition intake and family nutrition awareness status with under five years child nutritional status in Puskesmas Sewon I Bantul Yogya-karta. Method: Design of this research was cross sectional. The sample size of this study was 97 respon-dents. Sampling method of the study was proportional cluster random sampling technique. The variables examined in this research include under five years child nutritional status, nutrition intake, and fam-ily nutrition awareness status. The relationship of each variable was seen by using the Chi Square statistical test. Results: Results showed that of 97 respondents found 39 children (40.2%) had one and the nutri-tional status of 58 children (59.8%) had normal nutritional status. Bivariate analysis showed a relation-ship between under five years children nutritional status with food intake p < 0.05 (p = 0.000) and for under five years children nutritional status with family nutrition awareness status p < 0.05 (p = 0.03). In 2005 it was founded four persons which positively suffered malaria; in 2006 it was founded 66 persons which positively suffered malaria (API 5,4 per 1000 populations) and increase the case in 2007 by 202 persons which positively suffered malaria. Screening test was necessary as initial filtering test of malaria diseases in operational area of Banyuasin Public Health Service, Loano Subdistrict, Purworejo Regency, Middle Java Province.   Method: This was descriptive research using validity test for measuring the sensitivity and specificity of clinical symptoms of malaria as screening test. Technique of sample taking was conducted by consecutive sampling. Population was all of inhabitants living in operational area of Banyuasin Public Health Service, Loano Subdistrict, Purworejo Regency, Middle Java Province. Sample were the persons having periodical fever symptoms, sharp pain in joints, and nauseous symptoms in last two weeks by the amount of samples were 96 persons.  Result of research: Based on validity calculation of screening test of clinical symptom of malaria, sensitivity and specificity rate of periodic fever symptom (Se:100%, Sp:100%),  sharp pain on joints (Se:58,3%, Sp:96,4%), nausea (Se:100%, Sp:98,8%). Combination of symptom periodical fever and nausea have sensitivity and specificity rate of (Se:100%, Sp:98,8%), periodical fever and sharp pain on joints (Se:58,3%, Sp:96,4%), sharp pain on joints and nausea (Se:58,3%, Sp:100%), periodical fever and sharp pain on joints (Se:58,3%, Sp:100%).  Conclusion: Sensitivity and specificity of the result of these three combinational symptoms, i.e. periodical fever + sharp pain on joints and nausea have sensitivity of 58,3% and specificity of 100%. It means that these three combinational symptoms can not be used as screening test of malaria by reason of it has low in sensitivity.   Keywords: Screening, Sensitivity, Specificity, Malaria, Banyuasin Public Health Service
