Abstract

Pengertian fungsi di kalkulus adalah pemetaan dari himpunan bilangan real ke himpunan bilangan real dengan fungsi jaraknya adalah nilai mutlak. Pada makalah ini akan disajikan pengertian fungsi dari suatu ruang metrik ke ruang metrik yang lain yang fungsi jaraknya mungkin saja berbeda. Selanjutnya akan dibicarakan mengenai limit fungsi pada ruang metrik, kekontinuan fungsi pada ruang metrik, fungsi kontinu seragam pada ruang metrik, kekompakan fungsi pada ruang metrik, dan teorema-teorema yang berhubungan dengan hal tersebut. Kata Kunci    : Ruang Metrik, Limit Fungsi, Fungsi Kontinu, Fungsi Kompak. Notion of a function in calculus is a mapping from the set of real numbers to the set of real numbers with absolute value it is. On this paper will be presented the notion of functions of a metric space into the other metric space with the functions of the distance is probably different. Abstract

Learning mathematical analogy is one alternative learning that can be applied in order to cultivate the power of reason (power of reason) students. Through mathematical analogy students are required to be able to look for similarities or relationship nature of the two concepts are the same or different by comparison, then draw a conclusion from the similitude. Thus the analogy can be used as an explanation or as the basis of reasoning. Before starting the analogy of learning mathematics, teachers should examine the ability of understanding mathematical concepts of students, because of the level of understanding of students will affect the power of reason. Tasks (problems) mathematical analogy included non-routine matter, therefore the required readiness of teachers to make it. In each question contained mathematical analogy same or different concepts, so it takes quite a lot of material. Steps to make about the mathematical analogy, are: a) assemble all the concepts in mathematics student has learned; b) Similarly stacking properties / relationships contained in any concept, and c) select materials that have a nature / relationship analogous. In this paper is given two forms of matter of mathematical analogy is the analogy of mathematical models and mathematical analogy 1 models 2. Learning mathematical analogy should be carried out after a number of concepts learned. It is better to be given in classes end for many of the concepts that have been learned by the students. Reasoning power (power of reason) the student becomes an important part in the process of learning to drive them toward their future as citizens are intelligent, which will be led by the power of reason (the brain) and not by the strength (muscle) only. As noted by former US President Thomas Jefferson (in Copi, 1978: vii), which states: "In a republican nation, Whose citizens are to be led by reason and persuasion and not by force, the art of reasoning Becomes of first importance"

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menelaah peningkatan  pemahaman konsep dan kompetensi strategis matematis antara siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan metaphorical thinking, dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran biasa. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan kuasi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 12 Bandung. Sampel dalam penelitian ini dipilih sebanyak 2 kelas dari kelas VIII. Kelas eksperimen memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan metaphorical thinking, dan kelas kontrol memperoleh pembelajaran biasa. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes pemahaman konsep dan kompetensi strategis matematis, angket, pedoman observasi dan pedoman wawancara. Pengolahan data peningkatan pemahaman konsep dan kompetensi strategis matematis menggunakan uji-t dan uji Mann-Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Terdapat perbedaan peningkatan pemahaman konsep dan kompetensi strategis matematis antara siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan metaphorical thinking, dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran biasa; (2) Siswa menunjukkan sikap yang positif terhadap pembelajaran dengan pendekatan metaphorical thinking. Kata Kunci: pendekatan metaphorical thinking, pemahaman konsep matematis, kompetensi strategis matematis. This research aim to describe and to analyze the enhancement of mathematical conceptual understanding and strategic competence between students in metaphorical thinking approach and conventional learning. This kind of research is a quasi experiment. The populations of this research are all of the students of VIII grade in SMP Negeri 12 Bandung. The samples of this research are by choosing 2 classes of VIII grade. The experiment class obtains the metaphorical thinking approach, and the control class obtains the conventional learning. The research of data is obtained by giving a mathematical conceptual understanding and strategic competence test, questionnaire, the observation directive, and the interview directive. The enhancement of mathematical conceptual understanding and strategic competence is processed by the t-test and Mann-Whitney test. The result of this research showed that (1) There is enhancement difference of mathematical conceptual understanding and strategic competence between students in metaphorical thinking approach and conventional learning; (2) Students showed positive attitude towards learning by metaphorical thinking approach. Key words: metaphorical thinking approach, mathematical conceptual Understanding, mathematical strategic competence.

Abstract

Kemampuan komunikasi, berpikir kreatif dan disposisi matematis merupakan kemampuan yang sangat penting dimiliki oleh setiap siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Untuk meningkatkan kemampuan ini, perlu adanya upaya pendekatan pembelajaran yang memungkinkan siswa melakukan observasi dan eksplorasi agar dapat membangun pengetahuannya sendiri. Pembelajaran berbasis masalah merupakan salah satu alternatif pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan di kelas untuk meningkatkan kemampuan tersebut. Dalam pembelajaran ini siswa dituntut berkomunikasi dan kreatif dalam mengemukakan idenya. Kata Kunci : komunikasi matematis, berpikir kreatif, disposisi matematik, pembelajaran berbasis masalah.  Communication skills, creative thinking and mathematical disposition is a very important capability of every student in the learning of mathematics. Abstract

Makalah ini merupakan kajian konsep grup permutasi dalam sebuah permainan suit. Grup permuatasi yang terdapat dalam permainan suit adalah grup permutasi yang siklis. Penyajian grup menggunakan permainan dalam pembelajaran aljabar abstrak dapat dilakukan guna meningkatkan minat mahasiswa dan memberikan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang konsep grup. Kata Kunci: Permainan, Grup, Aljabar, Siklis, Permutasi  This paper is a study of the concept of a permutation group in a game suit. Grup permuatasi contained in the suit game is a cyclic permutation group. Abstract

Kemampuan seorang guru dalam menggunakan kegiatan khusus di dalam kelas (misalnya membentuk kelompok kerja, praktik menghitung secara mental/tanpa alat hitung, pengajaran langsung atau metode lainnya) merupakan hal yang penting, tetapi keyakinan yang meliputi pemahaman terhadap kematangan dan kesiapan siswa dalam proses belajar juga memiliki kedudukan strategis. Psikologi pembelajaran akan membantu guru dalam mengungkap potensi yang dimiliki siswa dengan tidak melupakan hakikat siswa sebagai manusia yang memiliki jati diri yang berhak diakui eksistensinya dan berbeda satu dengan lainnya. Pembelajaran sebagai proses yang dilalui siswa, tidak dapat dipisahkan dengan perkembangannya. Seorang guru yang professional, tidak akan memandang proses belajar pada siswa tanpa memandang perkembangannya. Dengan memperhatikan perkembangan siswa, maka proses belajar akan terjadi sesuai dengan kesiapannya.Kata Kunci : Psikologi Pembelajaran, Kualitas Lingkungan Belajar Matematika  The ability of the teachers to use the special activities in the classroom (eg, forming learning groups, practice counting mentally/without a calculator, direct instruction or other method) is important, but the belief that includes an understanding of the maturity and readiness of students in the learning process as well has a strategic position. Psychology of learning will help teachers to uncover the potential of students by not forgetting the nature of students as human beings who have a right to be recognized identity and existence distinct from one another. Learning as a process through which students, can not be separated with the development. A professional teacher, will not look at the students' learning process regardless of its development. Abstract

This research uses experimental method pretest posttest disign. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in the confidence of students in mathematics in mathematics learning with metaphorical thinking humanist. This research was conducted at the Junior High School level. The instrument used in this study is the achievement test and questionnaire about students' confidence. The results showed that mathematics humanists with metaphorical thinking (MT) is superior to conventional learning in enhancing the confidence of students, viewed as a whole and based on the level of the school and the beginning of students' mathematical abilities. There is a high association between KAM and confidence in the classroom with learning metaphorical thinking, and the conventional class association between KAM and confidence quite enough. The confidence of students whose learning approach metaphorical thinking (MT) is better than using the normal way (CB), students gain confidence to approach learning MT and CB are in qualifying was.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat korelasi antara kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik dengan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri Luragung Kuningan Jawa Barat. Peserta didik diberikan tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik dan test hasil belajar matematika. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Luragung, Kuningan, Jawa Barat, sedangkan sampel yang diambil adalah siswa kelas VIII A SMP Negeri 3 Luragung, Kuningan, Jawa Barat yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik dan hasil belajar matematika. Setelah dilakukan analisis Varians didapat regresi linier dan pengujian keberartian regresi yang signifikan. Dari hasil perhitungan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,559 dilanjutkan dengan uji t-student diperoleh 3,631. Hal ini berarti terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik memberikan kontribusi sebesar 31,2 % terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa.Kata Kunci    : Kreatif, Hasil Belajar Matematika, Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Matematik.  This study aims to examine the correlations between mathematical creative thinking abilities with mathematics learning outcomes of students of class VII SMP Luragung Kuningan West Java . Learners are given tests of creative thinking skills test results to learn mathematics and mathematics . The study population was a class VII student of SMP Negeri 3 Luragung, Kuningan , West Java , while the samples taken are A class VIII student of SMP Negeri 3 Luragung , Kuningan , West Java, which is selected by purposive sampling. The instrument used in this study is a test of creative thinking skills and mathematical mathematics learning outcomes. After the analysis of variance and linear regression obtained significant regression significance testing. From the calculation of the correlation coefficient of 0.559 followed by Student 's t-test obtained 3.631. This means there is a significant relationship between mathematical creative thinking abilities with mathematics learning outcomes and mathematical creative thinking abilities contributed 31.2 % of the students' mathematicslearning outcomes. Abstract

This study aimed to examine and describe the creative thinking relationship with the self-concept is a survey research design. To get the research data used instrument in the form of creative thinking ability tests and students' self-concept scale. The study population was all students of SMP Negeri 13 Jakarta with seventh grade students study sample as many as two classes were selected by cluster random sampling. The data were analyzed quantitatively. Quantitative analysis was conducted on the ability to think creatively and data self-concept. The instruments used were 12 creative thinking ability test questions and 31 statements about the self-concept. In a trial calculation using the program Anates instruments and statistical calculations using SPSS 18. Results showed that self-concept affects students' ability to think creatively.

Abstract

Makalah ini melaporkan temuan satu eksperimen dengan disain pretest-postest dengan kelompok kontrol dan menerapkan pendekatan kontekstual dan strategi formulate-share-listen-create (FSLC), untuk menelaah kemampuan pemahaman dan komunikasi matematik siswa SMK. Subyek penelitian ini adalah 80 siswa SMK program keahlian pemasaran di Bandung. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari tes kemampuan pemahaman dan komunikasi matematik serta disposisi matematik. Berdasarkan analisis data menggunakan SPSS 16.0 dan Microsoft Excel 2010, penelitian menemukan: Pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman dan komunikasi matematik siswa yang memperoleh pendekatan kontekstual dan strategi formulate-share-listen-create (FSLC) lebih baik daripada pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional.  Penelitian juga menemukan adanya asosiasi sedang antara kemampuan pemahaman dan komunikasi matematik, dan siswa menunjukkan disposisi matematik yang positif terhadap pendekatan kontekstual dan strategi formulate-share-listen-create (FSLC) Kata Kunci    : pendekatan kontekstual, strategi formulate-share-listen-create, pemahaman dan komunikasi matematik, disposisi matematik  This paper reports the findings from an experimental prettest-posttest control group design conducted by using contextual approach and formulate-share-listen-create (FSLC) strategy to investigate students’ mathematical understanding and communication abilities.The study involved 80 grade-11 students from SMK of marketing field program in Bandung. The instrumens of this study are mathematical undestanding test, mathematical communication test, and mathematical disposistion scale. By using SPSS 16.0 and Microsoft Excel 2010, the study found the contextual approach and formulate-share-listen-create (FSLC) strategy was able to improve students’ mathematical understanding and mathematical communication abilities better than that of conventional approach. Students’ mathematical understanding and communication abilities were classified as mediocore. Furthermore, the study found there was medium association between mathematical understanding and mathematical communication abilities, and students performed positive disposition on contextual approach and formulate-share-listen-create (FSLC) strategy. Key words     :  contextual approach, formulate strategies, share, listen, create, understanding and mathematical communication, mathematical disposition
