Abstract

To teach science is basically to teach about everything in the universe. Sincetheir early age children could actually be introduced to the nature, and theirengagement in or observation of any kind of natural process may help them to enrichtheir experience and sense of science. In this sense, therefore, the use of naturalresources is important as it will also allow them to do some experiments, to furtherexplore and investigate their natural surrounding. These ability and skills areundoubtedly of a great usefulness for and in their future. Within the currentKindergarten Curriculum, science teaching is a part of the cognitive developmentenhancement. Unfortunately, in teaching science to their young learners, often,teachers adopt teaching strategies which do not suit their stage of development, forexample through the introduction of abstract scientific concept. In fact, children ofearly age think in a concrete way, and therefore, to teach them more effectively, is tosome extent to bring the subject matter to a more concrete way. Abstract

Correct reading news represent one of the interest correct reading at KTSPJavanese SMP. At its execution of attainment of interest correct reading student still isoften met with klasikal method, so that study read lose looks. Therefore require tocreate atmosphere management of pleasant study and as according to abilitystorey;level or student interest in correct reading. Therefore this research aim to todevelop study media in the form of CD interaktif as media study of interest correctreading news. This Development CD interaktif is gone through to pass/through 6development phase, start teoretis analysis test use of product. Source of data researchof this development entangle 5 people learn Javanese and 40 student people. ValidasiResearch of development entangle 5 items expert people as items validasi and mediaexpert as items validasi. yielded Product type in the form of CD interest interaktifcorrect reading news, in presentation format. Respon to CD interaktif developmentstudy of interest correct reading news obtained by result 2,5% disagree and rest isagreing and very agree. Abstract

It is important to know the role of the teachers reaction toward the Certification Program because based on the data we can identify their perception about the program so that we can plan the necessary steps according to the program. This a qualitative research taking as respondents the primay and the secondary teachers joined in the teachers association KKG and MGMP. They were classifiend in 4 categories: (1) those who hah not the 81 degree or still studying to obtain tile degree. (2) those having the S 1 degree with 0-5 year experience. (3) those having the S1 degree with 6-10 year experience. and (4) those who have been certificated. The results showed that they considered the program more as welfare project, . not as aprogram of professional enhancement. Kata Kunci: respon, implementasi kebijakan, dan sertifikasi guru

Abstract

One of the goals of accounting education in Indonesia is to introduce the students to the ethics and values of accounting profession. This research focused on the effectiveness of accounting curriculum in developing students’ responsibility towards the financial statement’s users. We find that no different perception on ethics occurs between the new accounting students and senior accounting students. These results show that there are needs to reform the accounting curriculum particularly in accounting department faculty of economics Semarang State University, to emphasize more on ethics and values of the accounting profession. Abstract

Language is not static. It undergoes evolution in all aspects: meaning, structure, and use. Nowadays Indonesian language develops in an unregular way. The research intended to detect the change of some words which are frequently used but seems in another way as before. As method, it adopted the qualitative approach and used the theory of syntax, morphology, and pragmatics as reference to analyse the data. The data was gathered from televison and newspapers, in the form of words, clauses, or phrases.The respondents were a group of people in the domain of education, administration, dan arts. To analyse their input, the cross-check between it and those of two experts in Indonesian language has been made. As reference, we used dictionnaries, grammar books, and pragmatic books. The result showed that about 15 words undergo evolution and need attention from Pusat Bahasa. The institute should decide whether the changes should be legalized or it’s the teaching of Indonesian language which must be improved. Kata kunci: evolusi, morfologi, sintaksis, pragmatik

Abstract

Research was carried out in the Settlement Geography Class, started on September 1 to September 22, 2008 (4 periods). The subject of the research was all 2007/2008 students, participants of the Settlement Geography Class (Population Research). The problem was that their quality in mapping and site plan projects was poor. The purpose of the research: students are able to do mapping and site plan projects individually, have expertise in mapping the patterns and distribution of settlements around them and other places, and able to communicate their project in the class discussion forum. The method used in this research was classroom action research model Kemmis & Mc. Taggart; input, process and output variables. Qualitative data was gathered using questionnaires and observation. Indicator of the success is the increase in students’ understanding individually and in group. Comprehensive analysis is from the first cycle to the second cycle (the last). First cycle found that students did not do the projects seriously. Reflection of the first cycle, more focus on areas, showed an improvement although not a significant one. Each group was then analyzed and showed that the best group scored 7.33. The mapping and site plan projects carried out on the second cycle showed that students’ understanding and seriousness was higher. Third cycle was unnecessary to do as it took only 79.03 minutes for students to finish the project. The conclusion is that the Achievement Index will increase if students do the projects seriously. Abstract

Model of teaching and learning integrate multicultur insight into Indonesia lesson study is means effective to be awake student in communicate at context multicultur society. Research method of use is R & D. Seek an excuse of need assessment, 84,5% the student experience misunderstanding when communicate with friends of different cultural; 77,9% they required fasilitator and subject matter for comprehend of cultural his friends. Teacher require project of subject matter and model of teaching and learning. Project of subject matter develop with into multicultur insight in language skill. Concept of project teaching and learning study develop include syllabus, lesson plan, subject matter, and assessment. Abstract

In developing the language teaching evaluation system, communicative competence must be the most important thing to refer to. Thus, it is clear that the grading system used by elementary school teachers needs to be evaluated. The proses of datas analysis were focused on writing skill evaluation design which was appropriate to contextual approach and class based grading. The conclusion of this research was that the writing skill evaluation used by elementary student in Magelang was not the same, every group based on different teaching manual plan or “RPP”, and different manual books. The way and the time for evaluation were also different. The type of questions for writing skill evaluation in Magelang elementary school were multiple choices, short question and essay. There are some evaluations and writing skill type questions which were appropriate with the basic evaluation on teaching manual plan and which were inappropriate with it. The character of contextual approach was not fix with the teaching manual plan given. The teaching evaluation system applied contextual approach, while the technique of grading applied the class based grading with the minimum quality. Abstract

This study is intended to review on how to design multiple-intellegences-based learning in primary schools and its relevance with the effort to understand the children’s multiple intellengences. The paper is based on the current condition in the field that most teachers are unable to present effective and ideal teaching. Therefore, it is no wonder that many students are drown in boredom. The methodology employed in this research are literature review, documentation and interview. Designing multile-intellegencie-based learning is actually not difficult and can be applied to complete the concepts of contextual teaching and learning and integrated learning. The multiple-intellegences-based learning will strengthen and empower the children’s intellegences.
