Abstract

This study aims to determine how the dimensions of Draw A Person test (DAP) is able to uncover traits from the 16 PF test (The Sixteen Personality Factor Questionnaire). Data from 200 subject who filled the DAP and 16 PF tests were processed and analyzed using exploratory factor analysis and regression. From the analysis of factor analysis to people's image expression data, we obtained 8 sets of factors, namely Factor I - VIII from DAP. From the regression test between Factor 16 PF and the factor image test of the person, it was found several Factors 16 PF which can be used to predict some expressions of people's images. These factors include Factor Q3 which is able to predict Factor VII and Factor Q4 that is able to predict Factor I.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the role of job demands, job resources and work engagement among dual career women. The hypotheses to be tested was : 1 ) there is correlation between job demands and work engagement among dual career women, 2) there is correlation between job resources and work engagement among dual career women, 3) there is moderating effect from job resources at the correlation between job demand and work engagement among dual career women. This tudy engaged 62 woman employee, which have characteristics as married and have been working for minimum 1 years. Job demands and job resources scales are applied at this study, together with the adaptation of Utrecth Work Engagement Scale (UWES). The analysis showed that :1) job demands is not correlated with work engagement, 2) job resources is correlated with work engagement. Abstract

This research aims to know the defferent between social maturity early childhood In terms of participation in Children Day-Care. Sample in this research 60 subject consisting of 30 kids the age of 2 - 6 years charity at Children Day-Care and 30 kids the age of 2 - 6 years who do not charity at Children Day-Care. Technique the sample used in this research was sampling purposive. A measuring instrument used in this researchwas vineland social of maturity scale (VSMS). This research in analysis by using test t (t-test) and obtained value of 10,037 uji-t and shows that significance obtained 0,000 (p < 0,001).The results of this means that there is a significant difference between ripeness child social is 1,093 and those who did not were entrusted in Children DayCare. Most of the dependants were in the landfill is considered to be in the category of ripeness of high social with rerata 108,3, while the majority of children who are not sent to the landfill was ripeness into the category of a social enough with rerata 82,18.Keyword : Social Maturity, Childhood, Children Day-Care

Abstract

Happiness is the most essential thing for human life. There are various indicators of happiness, but there are no indicators that use the Islamic perspective. This study aims to examine indicators of happiness (al-sa'adah) in an Islamic perspective that refers to and guided primarily by the Koran and Hadith. This study uses literature studies, by collecting verses from the Koran and Hadith related to the concepts of happiness in Arabic. The researcher found that overall, there are 164 verses from 122 letters of the Koran and 24 theorem of hadiths. Based on the search for arguments and verses related to happiness (al-sa'adah), researchers found 17 indicators of happiness according to the The Qoran and Hadith, namely: Faith and takwa (50 verses), tafaqquh fid-dien (2 verses), pious charity (23 verses), patience (7 verses), thanksgiving (7 verses), tazkiyatun al-nafs (2 verses), amar ma'ruf nahi munkar (3 verses), jihad fi sabilillah (5 verses), seeking and receiving the blessing of Allah (10 verses), dzikr (3 verses), get the gift / mercy from Allah (28 verses), ishlah (7 verses), uswah hasanah (2 verses), seek Allah's protection (2 verses), surrender (3 verses), reject evil with goodness (3 verses) and keeping oral and deeds (5 verses).

Abstract

The low family socioeconomic status (SES) often resulted in variety of negative impact towards child development. One of the mechanism how SES affect children is through parenting. In family with low SES, many parents experience stress due to economic pressure that they implement harsh parenting practices. This then leads to various negative impact in children psychological development. One of the most significant protective factor to reduce the negative impact of low SES is religiosity. Based on thedimensions of religiosity, this research tried to capture how religiosity among low SES parents can serve as protective factor. The subjects of this research three low SES parents who considered as religios by local people and their children managed to achieve high education. The research method is quallitative with in-depth interview. The data analysis employed by coding, formulating units of meaning, and categorization. The results showed that based on the five dimensions of religiosity, all three subjects have adequate religious knowledge particularly related to religionbasedparenting knowledge, then this followed by intensive and devoted religiousritual, and from experiential dimension they often experience grace and closeness to Allah SWT. The impact of those five dimensions of religiosity is they are able to show many positive virtues which enables them to overcome various obstacles the low SES brought. Those virtues are patience, sincere, nrimo (acceptance), pasrah (surrender), and optimistic. They also then transmitted their religiosity to their children with valueinternalization and  guiding worship rituals. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan kesepian dengan ide bunuh diri. Sampel adalah 42 pekerja migran Indonesia. Skala yang digunakan adalah Revised UCLA Loneliness Scale (R-UCLA-LS) dan Adult Suicide Ideation Questionnaire (ASIQ). Korelasi product moment digunakan untuk melihat korelasi antar variabel, sementara analisis Anova satu arah dan uji-t digunakan untuk mempelajari perbedaan tingkat kesepian dan ide bunuh diri berdasarkan berbagai jenis pekerjaan, jenis kelamin, dan usia. Sesuai dugaan, analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa kesepian secara signifikan terkait dengan ide bunuh diri. One way Anova menunjukkan adanya perbedaan tingkat kesepian dan keinginan bunuh diri pada berbagai jenis pekerjaan dan usia. Sementara itu analisis t-test juga menunjukkan adanya perbedaan kesepian dan ide bunuh diri berdasarkan gender di mana wanita secara konsisten memiliki skor kesepian dan ide bunuh diri yang lebih tinggi daripada pria.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to examine whether parental beliefs about managing sibling conflict correlate with the use of parent’s conflict management strategies in sibling interaction and the differences in the use of conflict management strategies in sibling interaction between mother and father. Further, this study examine the contribution of social economic status (SES), which SES is defined in terms of parents’ years of education and monthly family income, on parental conflict management strategies in sibling interaction. Study participants were 160 couples, who have younger children with mean age 7.2 years and older children with mean age 11.5 years. This research used questionnaire methods which contain parents’self informations and psychological scale  to reveal parents’social economic status, parental beliefs about managing sibling conflict, and the use of conflict management strategies in sibling interaction.The result of this research suggests that 1) there is significant relationship between parental beliefs about managing sibling conflict and the use of parent’s conflict management strategies in sibling interaction.; 2) there is no significant difference between mother and father regarding the use of conflict management strategies in sibling interaction; 3) parent’s social economic status influence the difference use of mother’s child-centered conflict management strategies. Parents who received montly family income above Rp 2.000.000,00 and had completed their university education show higher frequency in the use child-centered conflict management strategies than parents who had lower income and lower education. Parent’s social economic status didn’t influence parents’ use of parental control conflict management strategies. Abstract

The purposes of this research were to analyze deeply the values and moral message ofTarling in subject perspective ofTarling-Cirebon Art and performers internalization of value and moral message Tarling. The purpose of this research aimed to answer the research question, how a value and moral message according to the subject perspective of Tarling-Cirebon art and performers internalization of value and moral message Tarling? This research is based on an qualitative study. Subjects perspective of value and moral message in Tarling Art were gathered through observations, interviews, and documentation. The analyzing of internalization process of value and moral message was inspired by ethnography. The result of this study indicate that the values of tarling obtained are empathy of subjects in tarling, covering "dandanggula" song ofSunan Kalijaga, "ngalap berkah" or seeking blessing, "a plate of rice" philosophy, "apa jare wong tua ngagem ngageme wong rumah tangga" or happy household, and "payun geneng sabonana payun geneng sabot enteng lakonana" or mutual cooperation. That there is explicitly moral messages that absorbed are "ingsun titip tajug lan fakir miskin" philosophy of Sunan Gunung Djati, conversation in polite language such as "punten" expression, "sabasita" or "unggah-ungguh" behavior, "pamali" or do behavior charily, "yen wis mlatar gage eling" philosophy of tarling, and "saweran"tradition. The internalization process of values and moral messages performers obtained through five stages based on an taxonomy of educational objectives from Bloom, Krathwol, & Masia (1970). The first is an receiving. The second is an responding. The third is that the valuing. The fourth is that organization. Abstract

The current research revealed if patience and gratitude have the positive significant correlation with subjective well-being. Abdullah bin Mas’ud said iman has divine by patience and gratitude. The objective of this study is to investigate the correlation between gratitude, patience and subjective well-being of adolescent, and which one had the best correlation into subjective well-being. Total 164 adolescents participated in this study. Statistical analysis showed that both patience and gratitude had a positive significant correlation with subjective well-being. Patience has the best correlation with subjective well-being than gratitude. Factor analysis shows that gratitude has the better correlation to positive affect than patience, but patience has the better correlation with negative affect and life satisfaction than gratitude.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is understanding how positive emotion on extraordinary teachers. Subjects consist of three extraordinary school teachers who already taught more than one year. This research used qualitative methods with phenomenological approach. Data collection in this research used observation and interview. This research used interactive analysis of Miles and Huberman's. The results of this research show that positive emotions generate motivation to provide services for children with special needs. Factors affecting the positive emotions that become the new findings in this research are patience and spirituality. Positive emotions make people more open to new experiences that expand the personal resources, both cognitive, social, and physical resources. Key words: positive emotions, special education, teachers
