Abstract

The aim of this paper is to understand how the human trafficking is one of the transnational crimes which is an issue in human history. Human trafficking is a new threats of human being in the world and this issue is come up also became concern for state to overcome the problem. This crime is defying human rights and turn the people into a poor worker, slave, commercial sex workers, etc. Indonesia is the country that have problems with this trafficking  because  in  this  country  lie  a  thousand  poor  people which  is  vurnerable  to  be  traded.  Therefore,  Indonesia  make serious efforts to overcome this issue through collaboration with various elements of both state actor and non-state actor.

Abstract

The disappointment felt by Australia and New Zealand to the United of Kingdom to make the two countries that really have to have a good relationship has chosen to be in the American defense umbrella to form alliances and to approach a covenant Trilateral security cooperation called ANZUS in 1951. However, because the New Zealand Prime Minister David Lange that is derived from the labor party has anti-nuclear policy should he realized in his country. This causes a slight disturbance in the alliance, where there is disagreement between the United State and New Zealand warship linked to by Americans who want to put into the area of New Zealand. This problem led to New Zealand should remain at its founding to keep running the anti-nuclear policy and decided to get out of the ANZUS alliance.

Abstract

Purpose of this research is to understand  relation between Open Door Policy that applied in China under leadership of Deng Xiaoping with improvement of industrial sector in China. Data collection is done by library research and internet. Writer found that open door policy which embedded in China’s economic reform in 1978 has given enormous advantage to Improvement of industrial sector in China. step by step foreign investment come to China which aspirated with transfer technology. Improvement of industrial sector in China indirectly give such a significant impact to China’s economic growth in general. With the result that now China has become one of the countries with massive economic growth which overcome other developing countries in the world and become 2nd largest reserve of foreign exchange after United States of America.

Abstract

ABSTRACK The Philippines government has had a prolonged conflict with armed groups in Mindanao, Southern Philippines. One of the most influential groups in Mindanao is the MILF which was established in 1984 by Salamat Hasim. Peace process has been done ??since 1996 but always failed and finally succeeded by the signing of the framework of final peace agreement in 2012 between Philippines government and MILF. The successful agreement reached after negotiation involving third party that is the ICG as a mediator, held. ICG was formed in 2009 consists of United Kingdom, Turkey, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Muhammadiyah, Conciliation Resources, Humanitarian Dialogue Centre, and The Asia Foundation. Therefore, this study aims to describe what roles is ICG played in the conflict mediation between the Philippines government and the MILF in 2009 – 2012. The research shows that ICG has involved in facilitative mediation as explorer, reassure, unifier, convener, facilitator, envisioner, enhancer, guarantor, and legitimizer. This study shows that conflict resolution involving mediation group whose members consists of different backgrounds, match with the conflicts based on ethnicity, culture and religion. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to look at the democratic system that occurred in Singapore during Lee Kuan Yew era. Singapore as a small but well developed country in Southeast Asia is well-known with its parliamentary democratic system. But, during Lee Kuan Yew era, the implementation of democratic system is not a pure democratic as espoused by west. Singapore has a multi-party system but dominated by People’s Action Party (PAP) that Lee Kuan Yew established. Through the hybrid regime that affected by Asian Values and the implementation of Internal Security Act, Lee Kuan Yew, with his party developed his own version of democracy.   Keywords: democrary, Singapore, Lee Kuan Yew, hybrid regime

Abstract

ABSTRACT Bilateral relations between United States and Israel are good because of the similarity of interest, ideology, and the full support of American Israel Public Affair Committee (AIPAC) which is a Jewish interest group that has a great power in influencing United States Policy. The aim of the research is to discuss AIPAC strategies in its efforts to prevent Israel from sequestration. The concept used is the interest group, lobby and foreign aid. The author collects the data from books, academic journal, mass media, and websites which is related to the influence of Jewish interest group in sequestration issues. AIPAC lobby implements various techniques to deal with the issues of sequestration, including Legislative Lobbying, Executive Lobbying, Electoral Lobbying, Grassroots of Indirect Lobbying. Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this paper is to describe the efforts towards a democratic system in Myanmar in 1990. At election in 1990 pro-democracy party, the National League for Democracy Party (NLD) led by Aung San Suu Kyi won 82 percent of the vote, but the results of this election is not recognized that the ruling military regime. NLD Party's victory in the 1990 elections was a clear victory of the opposition threaten the existence of the ruling military junta government for this. This gave rise to fears of a military junta government stronghold that then makes General Maung unilaterally not recognize the results of elections and imprisoned a large number of members of the NLD party. Problems that occur in the Myanmar government seized the attention of the regional and international community because of the actions of government are oppressive junta demonstrators who support democracy. The method used in this paper is the method of literature, where the source comes from some of the literature used either a book, a journal as a reference.   Keywords: Aung San Suu Kyi, Democracy, Military Junta Government

Abstract

ABSTRACK The role of the mass media today not only as a communication tool, but also the mass media took part in influencing the politics and government of a State. The mass media is regarded as one of the tools in determining the foreign policy of a State. In the case of the United States invasion of Iraq, for example, considered the mass media played a role in influencing foreign policy in the United States. Mass media has a role in terms of making an opinion in which it affects the thinking part of the state actors in making decisions related to foreign policy. This is evidenced from the policies of President Bush in 2003, to invade Iraq which is influenced by the news-media reports in the United States on the status of Iraq. From this arises is exactly the view that the role of the mass media today is not only focused as a tool for information only, but also as one of the factors that affect the process of making foreign policy a state actor. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to explain how Australia strengthening their military ties with United States after the Terrorist attacks in United States on 11 September 2001 that has destroyed the World Trade Center as one of the issues that change the pattern of the United States foreign relations, including the military ties between United States and Australia in the ANZUS.  ANZUS who had not previously been touted again by United States and Australia, since the events of 11 September has become increasingly active in strengthening the military ties between the two countries. Those can be seen from ANZUS active participation in any invasion that was made ??by the United States to the countries that are considered as the state sponsored of terrorism.
