Abstract

This study examines the need for an Islamic prophetic counseling development model. To achieve this goal, we used a mixed-method. The research subjects involved 244 students and four academic supervisors, and the research instruments were a noble character questionnaire and interview guidelines. Qualitative data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman models, namely through data reduction, presentation, conclusion, and verification steps. While quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of the study show: (1) there was no program designed in a systematic, comprehensive manner that touches the basic needs of students' moral development; (2) the ratios, content, and strategies in the ongoing guidance program had not met the standards and principles of guidance for all so that the process and objectives were not optimal; (3) there was a tendency for the behavior of some students to lead to moral decline; (4) understanding and practice of Islamic law as two determinant factors that affect the character of new students reached 27% and 16%; (5) the results of the student morality questionnaire showed that most (70.8%) were in the human category and (6) most of the students (97%) wanted a prophetic counseling model to develop noble character.

Abstract

Self-esteem ability is really needed based on the data from the distribution of the instrument, there are 61.6% of students who do not love themselves and have low self-esteem abilities and 90.4% feel the need for efforts to increase self-esteem abilities The aim of this study was to produce a method of counseling services that can increase individual self-esteem. This research used research and development methods or "Research and Development" (RD). The population of this study was the students of UIN Raden Intan Lampung. This study used descriptive data analysis techniques. The findings were the video self-instruction method could increase self-esteem with the results of the content expert test with a score of 4.875 and it implied that it was "very feasible" and the media expert test with a score of 4.625 implied "very feasible" and the validity test could increase self-esteem by 48 ,75%. In conclusion, the video self-instruction method could be used by counselors to increase self-esteem in providing guidance and counseling services both face-to-face and bravely so as to simplify and improve service quality.

Abstract

The success of the implementation of guidance and counseling services in schools is determined by one of the personality competencies possessed by the counselor. Personal competency standards are one part of the counselor competency standards. Counselor competency standards are minimum standards that must be known, achieved and performed proficiently by counselors. The purpose of this study was to produce an instrument in the form of a counselor personality competency scale. This study uses a Research and Development design up to the product trial stage on a limited basis. The data collection instrument used a personality competency scale. The results showed that using the personality competency scale that had been tested, it was seen that 97% were in the medium category and 3% were in the high category.

Abstract

Mental health has an important implication for every teenager's life aspect, such as an ability to take action in education, friendship, family relation, and how they will go through their next life journey. School is an ideal place to help teenagers develop their mental health conditions, and the teacher is an essential factor as the service provider. This study aims to explore the mental health knowledge of counseling teachers to help students achieve a well-being condition. The research design and analysis techniques were a qualitative survey by distributing open questionnaires online to counseling teachers in junior and senior high school. The result of the research showed that the knowledge of participants about mental health in the school was less comprehensive. Most of the responses explained the emotional aspect (35%), whereas other aspects of knowledge (cognitive, habits, self-control, and social) are lower. Besides, knowledge about mental health in the school showed 26% of participant responses related to knowledge from the health aspect, whereas knowledge from being and loving aspect was lower. Another finding of this research was that most (57%) cases often handled by the participant are teenage naughtiness cases such as bullying, smoking, and stealing. Recommendations from this research are we need psychoeducation training and mental health for counseling teachers in the school.

Abstract

The rapid growth and change in the world has encouraged the use of technology in various fields, including education and learning. Guidance and counseling in schools as part of the education system in Indonesia, uses technology to improve the quality of its services to students. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of using PowerPoint films and media in increasing students' awareness about sexual harassment through group guidance. Action research methods with one group pre-test and post-test and descriptive analysis were used to support the analysis of the results in this study. A total of fifteen students participated in this study. The results showed that the use of films and PowerPoint was effectively applied in group counseling services to increase students' awareness of sexual harassment.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the relationship between personality, mindset, and academic motivation of Grit students in high school. Who used the ex post facto quantitative method with simple random sampling to take a sample of 80. The instrument has four variables: personality, mindset, academic motivation, and Grit. The data analysis technique used multiple regression analysis. The results of the hypothesis show that the personality variable with t count t table is (3.123 1.996), mindset variable with t count t table (2.208 1.996) and academic motivation variable with t count t - table (11.02 1,996). These data indicate that overall, all Ho is rejected, and Ha is accepted of the three variables. Based on the Simultaneous test results (F test), the significance value of the personality, mindset, and academic motivation variables is smaller than the significance value of 0.000 0.05. So we can conclude that the variables of personality, mindset, and academic motivation simultaneously have a relationship with Grit in high school students.

Abstract

Affair becomes one of traumatic events for an individual which can cause stress. The purpose of this research was to find out the influence of self-compassion on posttraumatic growth on affair victim (the wife) with resilience as the moderation variable. This research employed quantitative method and the collected data were then processed statistically by using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). This study involved 100 victims of infidelity. The instruments used are self-compassion scale, posttraumatic growth scale; resilience. The research result proved that self-compasstion was sufficient to help increasing posttraumatic growth on the wife who becomes a victim of an affair.

Abstract

Learning media is an inseparable part of learning activities. In addition to being needed when delivering lessons, the media is even needed in the implementation of guidance and counseling services so that the intentions in these activities can be conveyed properly to students. The purpose of this study is to clarify the use of media that is often used to practice speaking skills, speaking chips, as a solution to develop group dynamics in group guidance and counseling services. The existence of group dynamics is one indicator of success in group guidance and counseling services. The research method used is library research, which is carried out by interpreting several data sources such as books and journals or relevant scientific articles. The result of this research is that speaking chips media can be used to encourage students to actively communicate and interact in groups so that the dynamics of group guidance and counseling services develops. In contrast to previous studies that discussed techniques and methods in group guidance and counseling services, this research focuses on developing group dynamics as an important part of group services

Abstract

As a student, many demands are imposed, starting from the needs of academic and non-academic values, participating in various intra and extracurricular activities to add value and expertise, fibre and much more. From the many demands that exist, students often experience academic stress. For this reason, high academic resilience is needed to cope with academic stress. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of group counselling with the WDEP technique to improve students' academic resilience. This WDEP technique is one of the techniques in reality therapy which is an acronym for Want, Doing and Direction, Evaluation and Planning. The research was conducted on grade VII G students at SMP Negeri 3 Magelang. Pre-experiment, using one group pre-test post-test design. Where the design uses one group that will be used as an experimental group to be given treatment in the form of WDEP technique group counselling services. By using a purposive sampling technique, from 32 students in the class, 8 students were taken as members of the experimental group to participate in group counselling activities. Meanwhile, the method for analyzing the data used parametric statistics paired sample t-test with SPSS 25 software. The results of the study show that the WDEP technique of group counselling affects increasing students' academic resilience.

Abstract

Counselors become adaptive individuals to changes that exist, even though they occur so quickly. One of them is that the COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on the implementation of the counseling program in schools. The implementation of the counseling program in schools is expected to be able to accommodate the needs of students to be able to solve complex problems due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is evaluation research with a discrepancy evaluation model approach. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the counseling program in schools based on predetermined standards. The implementation of this research is an evaluation with the research population being teacher guidance and counseling at the junior high school level in Malang Regency with a focus on implementing counseling programs during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research instrument is based on performance-based professional teacher evaluation guidelines on the third aspect of the fifth criterion. The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively and percentages to determine the implementation of the counseling program during the pandemic. The results show that counselors can adapt well to changes due to the covid-19 pandemic. This condition is indicated by the counselor starting to use technology in counseling (cybercounseling) to overcome the problems that occur so that they can carry out the program on a scheduled and limited basis in accordance with the health protocol rules. The follow-up results are recommendations to counselors for the implementation of future counseling programs.
