Abstract

The marketing concept states that to achieve organizational goals such as market share and profitability depends on the company's ability to determine the needs and wants of the target market and satisfy it more effectively and efficiently than its competitors.The purpose of this study is to examine whether pangaruh between market orientation, innovation value and competitive advantage to the performance of business units and services based on sharia. The results of statistical tests show that market orientation has a significant influence on the value of innovation. Market orientation with competitive advantage has significant influence. The value of innovation with competitive advantage has significant influence. The market orientation with the performance of sharia-based business units and services has no significant effect. This study proves that the value of innovation and competitive advantage is the intervening variable to create the performance of shariah-based business units and services.

Abstract

The aim of this this study is to uncover the impact of Islamic Work Ethics on Attitude toward Change trough organizational commitment as mediating variable. CEO of BPRS (Bank Pembiayaan Rakyat Syariah) in Indonesia was asked to express their opinion about the statements in the questionaire. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was used to analyze the complect relationship in the model aided by Visual Partial Least Square (VPLS) software.The results indicated that there is no direct effect from Islamic work ethics on attitude toward change. The interested finding in this research showed that organizational commitement mediated Islamic work ethic in only one dimension, affective commitment. The implication of this research is that management need to develop the application of Islamic work ethic to increase organizational commitment, so that can bring up attitude of employees ready to face change even if only on affective dimension only.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), Net Profit Margin (NPM) to Stock Price (Shares) in Sharia Stock Company Food and Beverage Sector Period Year 2013-2016 partially and simultaneously.From the results of this study can be concluded that simultaneously, the variable Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), Net Profit Margin (NPM) significant effect on stock prices. While the influence of each independent variable by partial dependent variable shows the result that price change is not influenced by Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), then the result of price change is influenced by Return on Assets (ROA), then the result of price change is not influenced by Return on Equity (ROE), then the result of price change is not influenced by Net Profit Margin (NPM).

Abstract

So far, business and marketing practices have only caught on to rational and emotional considerations. The spiritual aspect tends to be ignored, as evidenced by the outbreak of financial scandals in the United States with the collapse of giant corporations, such as Enron, WorldCom, or Global Crossing. So the necessary paradigm shift thinking in the concept of marketing.Spiritual marketing comes to be the solution to the problem. The concept of spiritual marketing developed by Hermawan Kertajaya, we use as a medium of tourism marketing in Madura with sharia tourism and culture approach in accordance with the characteristics of Madurese society that is religious and full of cultural nuances. In the concept of Spiritual Marketing there are four variables: theistic (rabbaniyah), ethical (akhlaqiyyah), realistic (a-waqi'iyyah), and humanist (insaniyyah) that will guide in this concept. Spiritual marketing has an orientation to God, so the whole process in marketing activities follows the guidance of Islam.The method used in this paper is qualitative descriptive with primary and secondary data. This concept requires synergy between government, religious leaders, academics, MUI, and society in Madura so that its implementation can take place and produce positive results for the progress of tourism in Madura.

Abstract

This study was conducted to explore factors motivating students to be enterpreneur. Factor analysis approach used to attain the objective. The analysis used four stages. Namely; choose a variable, variable extraction, rotation and indentified variables. Total sample of the researsh were 100 respondents. The results showed some biographical characteristics which included characteristics based on age, gender, enterpreneurial intentions, type of business, opinions and backrounds. Based on the results, there were six important factors which motivated students to be enterpreneur, namely; need for achievement, locus of control, external environment, self efficacy, material encouragement and independence.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the selling price of murabaha financing application and calculation of profit margins on BRISyariah, BPRS Bumi Rinjani and UJKS El-Dinar. The research method used is a qualitative research method with a decriptive approach. Where data is the primary data obtained in the form of interviews with the parties concerned and secondary data in the form of data processing can be acconted for from a reliable source to conduct library research, interviews and internet. The result of this study found that setting the selling price on BRISyariah Murabahah Financing, BPRS Bumi Rinjani and UJKS El-Dinar that use the same basic price plus a profit margin. As for determining the profit margin that the bank sets its own and equally consider five factors determining the margin is the profit margin on everage Islamic Bank (Direct Competitor’s Market Rate/ DCMR), the interest rate the everage conventional banks (indirect Competitor’s Market Rate/ ICMR), the result of third-party funds (Competitive Expected Return for Investor/ ECRI), Overhead Cost, profit targets taking into account inflation and interest rate markets. In a benefit margin calculations using a flat (fixed).

Abstract

One of the causes of bankruptcy is not due to losess incurred but due to the inability to maintain cashflow availability. This study aims to determine the direct relationship of murabahah and musyarakah financing to Islamic bank liquidity through the NPF ratio. This study is descriptive quantitative study using path analysis and purposive sampling to determine the sample. The results of this study indicate that murabahah financing has no effect on NPF but effect the liquidity of Islamic bank. On the contrary, for musyarakah financing affecting NPF but not for liquidity of Islamic bank. It can be implied that due to differences in risk coverage of the two contract (murabahah financing dan musyarakah financing) where murabahah financing the level of risk that may arise will be more borne by the recipient of  the financing. This contrasts with the musyarakah financing agreement where the risk Non performing loan  can be minimized by sharing the risk in musyarakah financing.However, its relationship with bank liquidity, in fact murabahah financing provides a large contribution considering that islamic bank get certainty about the profit ratio of this financing agreement. As for musyarakah financing, Islamic bank liquidity actually decreases due to uncertainty in the profit sharing ratio it receives. From the result of the intervening test, NPF proxied by the ratio of NPF of Islamic banks did not mediate murabahah financing and musyarakah financing to Islamic bank liquidity.

Abstract

More disclosure can reduce agency costs incurred by the company. The more management (agent) reveal information about the company can reduce the conflict to shareholders (principal). Therfore, a voluntary disclosure more to minimize the occurence of  information asymmetry. The more management companies disclose information about the incentives obtained become more, because basically shareholders (principal) would be willing to pay the cost of monitoring surveillance to prevent the hazard of the agent.The aim of this study is to analyze and discribe how diversity influences gender and educational background of the board as well as the financial performance of the corporate voluntary disclosure. Definition councils in this study combines the board of commissioners and board of directors, because indonesia is adopting a two-tier system. The companies sampled is a company registered in the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).Adjusted R-squere value (0.55) shows that voluntary corporate disclosure nearly 55% depending on the independent variable is gender diversity of the board, board diversity educational backgrounds, profitability, size, liquidity and liverage of the company. Significance test showed that gender diversity and leverage are important determinants of corporate voluntary disclosure in Indonesia. On the other hand, the research also found that the variable gender diversity, provitability, size and liquidity is not strong explanatory variables to determine the extent of voluntary disclosure of company in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to know the performance of PDAM through financial and non financial perspektive. This research employs descriptive qualitative approuch. The data are collected by observation, interview, questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis is conducted by measuring each perspective, the financial and non-financial perspective, which consists of customers, internal business, learning and growth. The result of the research shows that, overall, the performance of PDAM in Pasuruan Regency is good. It is indicated by the high value acqusition from each perspective. Based on the financial perspective to measure the profitability ratio, the ratio indicating the highest increase is ROI, compared to other ratios namely ROE, operating expenses ratio, and NPM. The customer’s perspective which is measured using questionnaires shows the index value of the highest customer’s satisfaction criteria. In addition, as seen from customer’s acqusition and retention, the company is able to retain its customers, but there is an increase in customer complaint number.  Based on the company internal business perspective, the company has given good services for the customers.
