Abstract

There are various ways to detect osteoporosis disease (bone loss). One of them is by observing the osteoporosisimage through rontgen picture or X-ray. Then, it is analyzed manually by Rheumatology experts. Article present the creationof a system which could detect osteoporosis disease on human, by implementing the Rheumatology principles. The main areasidentified were between wrist and hand fingers. The working system in this software included 3 important processing, whichwere process of basic image processing, pixel reduction process, pixel reduction, and artificial neural networks. Initially, thecolor of digital X-ray image (30 x 30 pixels) was converted from RGB to grayscale. Then, it was threshold and its gray levelvalue was taken. These values then were normalized to an interval [0.1, 0.9], then reduced using a PCA (Principal ComponentAnalysis) method. The results were used as input on the process of Backpropagation artificial neural networks to detect thedisease analysis of X-ray being inputted. It can be concluded that from the testing result, with a learning rate of 0.7 andmomentum of 0.4, this system had a success rate of 73 to 100 percent for the non-learning data testing, and 100 percent forlearning data. Keywords: osteoporosis, image processing, PCA, artificial neural networks

Abstract

The use of computerized technology in the current globalization era has become more rapid therefore assisting all activities in all fields, especially in the financial audit report in an accounting information system. Many problems were encountered with the auditors in conducting audits using conventional methods in an electronic data processing environment. However, these constraints are often ignored and do not get serious attention even by the auditors themselves. Inefficiencies resulted is often not oblivious. Therefore, constraints that occurred can be solved with a variety of ways, including the usage of Computer Assisted Audit Technique (CAATs) through a test data approach and Parallel Test Facility (PTF).Keywords: audit financial report, CATTs, accounting information system

Abstract

Company is more aware that knowledge management is one of the important factors because it gives competitive advantages for them. Knowledge is intellectual asset that is owned by individual or company. Knowledge becomes very useful if it is documented or stored, organized, shared to others and can be understood and applied. Knowledge Management System (KMS) is made to manage knowledge. KMS does identifying process, capturing, organizing and disseminating knowledge. Technology is one of three model of KM that supports the implementation of KM. This time there are various options of technology that support the KM implementation for companies. In this research, there are various options or types of technology that can be used to support the implementation of knowledge management. Keywords: Knowledge Management; Knowledge Management System; Technology Word

Abstract

Information technology is useful to automate business process involving considerable data transaction in the daily basis. Currently, companies have to tackle large data transaction which is difficult to be handled manually. It is very difficult for a person to manually extract useful information from a large data set despite of the fact that the information may be useful in decision-making process. This article studied and explored the implementation of business intelligence in banking, retail, and educational industries. The article begins with the exposition of business intelligence role in the industries; is followed by an illustration of business intelligence in the industries and finalized with the implication of business intelligence implementation.

Abstract

Article discussed a speaker identification system. Which was a part of speaker recognition. The system identified asubject based on the voice from a group of pattern had been saved before. This system used a wavelet discrete transformationas a feature extraction method and an artificial neural network of back-propagation as a classification method. The voiceinput was processed by the wavelet discrete transformation in order to obtain signal coefficient of low frequency as adecomposition result which kept voice characteristic of everyone. The coefficient then was classified artificial neural networkof back-propagation. A system trial was conducted by collecting voice samples directly by using 225 microphones in nonsoundproof rooms; contained of 15 subjects (persons) and each of them had 15 voice samples. The 10 samples were used as atraining voice and 5 others as a testing voice. Identification accuracy rate reached 84 percent. The testing was also done onthe subjects who pronounced same words. It can be concluded that, the similar selection of words by different subjects has noinfluence on the accuracy rate produced by system. Keywords: speaker identification, wavelet discrete transformation, artificial neural network, back-propagation.

Abstract

The success rate of information technology (IT) projects is still low. Based on one survey done in 1990s, only about 10% of software development project could be finished according to its planned budget and schedule. Another study in 1995 found that only 16.2% IT project succeed, and at the same time more than 31% IT projects were cancelled before finished. It has been found a lot of IT projects had been implemented with swelling budget. Although it is still debatable, one of the reasons of IT project implementation failure is because risk management in some IT projects is not implemented by the IT providers. The objectives of this research are to get knowledge and assess risks in implementing IT projects. This research also gives recommendations in mitigating IT project risks. In two projects that were used as sample of this research, it has been found some risks that could be happened in IT projects. That risks were then assessed based on the probability and its impact, and finally produced the recommendation for risk mitigation. All risks are described in the Risk Priority, moreover risk probability and impact is described in the probability-impact matrix from all of 4 levels. This research could improve the awareness of IT providers in Indonesia about the important of implementing IT risk management so that more IT projects in Indonesia could be run successfully. Keywords: Risk assessment, information technology project, impact, frequency

Abstract

Article clarifies a research having goals to make AVR programming system that is portable, by makingsystem modul based on AVR AT8535 as AVR Programmer/Master and AT8515 asAVR Socket. The module instructionat first is hex file was sending from PC to AVR Programmer/Master that later will be saved to external memory. Afterthe hex file saved, programming process will not need help from PC anymore. The saved hex file that saved toexternal memory can be choosen that later will be written to AVR Socket. So, the AVR program can be donerepeatedly as long as data on external memory still saved. The standalone that was made can only programed AVRATMega 8515L. From the research ita can be conluded that on case of repeated program, Stand Alone AVR able tosave time 20% more faster that programming using AVR codevision.

Abstract

In the globalization era, information technology (IT) plays an important role in the daily corporate operation. However, there are some risks in the IT implementation. To minimize these risks, a corporate should have an IT risk management. The objective of this research is to measure IT asset risks in Indonesia banking sector. The focus of this research is the IT risks, control, and risk mitigation. The research data is processed by Risk Register Table, based on Bank Indonesia Regulation (PBI). The measurement shows the risks trend rate is not too high. However, there is a need to minimize the risks. To minimize the risks, the measurement results could be used. The minimization of IT risks could improve the bank services to its users. Keywords: risk measurement, IT asset risk, Bank Indonesia Regulation (PBI)
