Jurnal Administrasi Bisnis is issued two (2) times a year, every March and September, which contains essays or research results in Business Administration. Abstract

Service quality of the restaurant operations is a focus in this paper. Two Cafe Restau-rants were chosen, one as an research object - Cafe X, and other as its competitor- Cafe Y. Customer satisfaction is observed from the customer of Cafe X, and de-veloped a House of Quality from all this data. The result showed that all of qualityaspects have high importance rate which is explained that all of quality aspect areimportance for customer and has an impact to their satisfaction. The result alsoshowed some customer gave a lower satisfaction performance for some quality as-pects that explained competitors had a better performance. The study provided somesuggestions to increase satisfaction performance with quality service development.Keywords: service quality, service quality measurement, house of quality

Abstract

Power and Influence Tactics, always exist in any organization. To become an effectiveleader or manager, every leader needs to know both of them. This paper try to describethe meaning of power, sources of power, types of power, how to increase or decreasepower, coalition (power in group), and influence tactics usually used in an organiza-tion. The direction of influence tactics can be upward, lateral, or downward. Powercan be differentiated into soft and hard power. Using soft-power is more effectivethan hard-power. New media is a term used to distinguish it with the old media. The lines betweennew media with old media is difficult to determine with certainty because it dependson someone’s perspective. The Internet can be considered as the beginning of thenew media era because the Internet is very different from the previous media. At thebeginning, the application on the Internet only Website and e-mail. After that camea variety of new applications or new media such as blogs, social networking sites,video sharing sites, online gaming, video conferencing and others. Abstract

The paper aims at describing what can be learned from a Knowledge-intensive Sys-tem (KIS) by a manager of an Indonesian SME Garment Manufacturer (ISGM).For this purpose, we use the system LIA (Leading to Information Access). LIA isa system that (1) handles financial related transactions, (2) processes them accordingto Indonesian accounting standard procedures, and (3) gives the interpretation of theprocess results to the financial analysis. Abstract

Modern trade stores have been very successful in Vietnamese retail industry, espe-cially in some big cities. However, the popularity of such stores is still lagging behindthe traditional stores. In regard with this issue, many studies have been done overtime, but very few have been focused on rural regions in emerging countries likeVietnam. Thus, this study aims at exploring the reasons why Vietnamese consumersin the remote area prefer to shop at traditional stores instead of modern stores. Fur-thermore, this study attempts to fill the gap between these two types of formats. Theresearch uses quantitative method with the aid of SPSS software to analyze the data.The results show that consumers in the remote areas are still not willing to quit theirtraditional shopping habits for a new choice of store based on the current situation.Therefore, it is not the right time for investors to expand their modern business intothe country’s rural areas.Keywords: Modern Trade Store, Traditional Store, Rural Vietnam, Retail Industry,Consumer Behavior, Store Attributes.

Abstract

Partnership becomes one of the main asset which used by the enterprise to achievea sustainable competitive advantage. Through the partnership, the enterprise can de-velop their capabilities which cannot be developed by their own. A strategic allianceand joint venture is a popular way used by the enterprises in developing their partner-ship. Some researcher also mentioned about merger and acquisition as another formof partnership but more permanent in nature.This article specifically aim to measure a potency of partnership as a vehicle inincreasing innovation capabilities and technology within an enterprise in their effortto set up competitiveness.
