Abstract

Service and tourism companies are increasingly providing applications, one of which is Traveloka to maintain and gain a higher market share. To affect the intention to use an application,  a company needs to take a concern about the ease of the operartion, transaction security, providing an attractive promo, and also giving a good experience to users. The purpose of this study is to identify factors that influence the intention to use and actual usage such as perceived ease of use, perceived value, perceived usefulness, subjective norms, perceived trust, and image. The data were collected by a quesationnaire to 300 respondents who used the Traveloka application for the past year using a Simple Random Sampling method. The data were analysed using Structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The result indicates that perceived ease of use and perceived value do not affect the intention to use but perceived usefulness, subjective norms and perceived trust are affecting the intention to use. The intention to use also affect actual usage and image also affect actual usage.

Abstract

Customer Loyalty indirectly help companies to promote products or services to the people closest to them. This is will be greatly help the company to get new customers. To increase Customer Loyalty, the company is expected to improve the quality of services provided. Quality is closely related to Customer Satisfaction and Customer Engagement, quality encourages customers to establish long-term bonds of mutual benefit in the company and Customer Engagement can increase Customer Loyalty because of the high level of Customer Engagement is the result of Customer Satisfaction of the product or service provided by the company.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect ( and to analyze) the understanding variable and tax penalties on tax compliance with risk preference as a moderating variable in taxpayers registered at KPP North Malang regenc. The data were collected using a questionnaire distributed to taxpayers selected based on a purposive sampling approach. They were analyzed by means of multiple linear regression analysis and moderating analysis using absolute difference value test approach. It was found that understanding and sanctions affect taxpayer compliance. Risk preference is also able to moderate understanding and tax sanctions on taxpayer compliance.

Abstract

Islamic banking in Indonesia has developed as indicated marked by the establishment of Bank Muamalat Indonesia as the first Islamic bank in Indonesia. Islamic banks—Besides the conventional bansk— are an alternative source of financing which are expected to support the country's economic growth. Banks are also known as risk-prone institutions, one of which is systemic risk. This study aims to measure systemic risk and financial linkages in Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia. This study uses the Conditional Value at Risk (CoVaR) model developed by Adrian and Brunnermeier (2009) with data samples of 8 Islamic banks in Indonesia from January 2012 to December 2018. The results isobtained are the contribution of systemic risk is not determined by the size of bank assets and individual risk. k, sBo that both small banks and large banks can threaten financial system stability. So that it can be a reference for regulators to always supervise all banks, not only large banks but also small banks that have high individual risks.

Abstract

There are some factors that affect the banks’ efficiency and therefore, it is important to do research in relation to analyze those factors. The efficiency of the banking industry is required. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of asset diversification, bank risk, bank size, and bank liquidity on the efficiency of sharia banks using Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA). The sample of this research is Sharia Commercial Bank, in Indonesia, which has been registered in OJK for the 2014-2018 period. The data were analyzed by using descriptive and statistical analysis with Frontier 4.1. The results showed that asset diversification, bank risk, and bank liquidity had a negative effect on efficiency. On the contrary, Total Assets has a positive effect on Efficiency. It is recommended that the banks should minimize their risk in order to increase efficiency as well as not to diversify their assets.

Abstract

Of the various types of e-wallet payments available, DANA is one of the fast growing payment applications in Indonesia. Within three a half month only it got half million users. What are the cause factors? Why do users like it? This study aimed to analyze quantitatively what factors influence consumers in using the DANA. It used confirmatory factor analysis model to test the model. It’s expected to contribute on e-wallet payment business strategy. The sampling technique used in this study was to use a questionnaire. The respondents are 100 who had used the DANA payment application. The obtained data were processed using the CFA factor analysis method (confirmatory analysis factor). The results show that there are three main factors that influence the choice of DANA payment applications including convenience, compatibility, and knowledge.

Abstract

This study examines and analyze the significant effect of brand equity consist; brand awareness, brand association, perceived quality and brand loyality on purchased decision. Based on the literature review, this research hypothesis states that the four elements of brand equity affect purchasing decisions. This research uses survey data from Coffee Toffee visitors in Surabaya. Data were collected by questionnaire from respondent. Hypothesis testing technique is done by using multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that brand awareness has a significant positive effect on purchasing decisions, brand association has no significant positive effect on purchasing decisions, the perceived quality has a significant positive effect on purchasing decisions, and brand loyalty have a significant positive effect on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of managerial and public ownership structures on profitability at the Foreign Exchange National Private Commercial Banks (BUSN), determine the effect of managerial and public ownership structures on firm value at Foreign Exchange National Private Commercial Banks (BUSN), and determine the effect of profitability on firm value in Foreign Exchange National Private Commercial Banks (BUSN). This research method uses descriptive quantitative as a type of research. The population is 35 banking companies, while the sample is 17 banking companies whose financial statements are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The date were collected through secondary data in the form of documents, namely financial reports for 2016 - 2018. The data analysis technique uses multiple regression analysis. The results showed that there was no influence of managerial share ownership structure on profitability and firm value. Furthermore, there is a significant effect of public share ownership structure on profitability while firm value has no significant effect. The implication is that managerial roles and participation are needed in this case the share ownership structure in order to increase the profitability and value of banking companies such as other companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.

Abstract

Financial distress merupakan suatu kondisi di mana sebuah perusahaan mengalami kesulitan keuangan. Adanya fenomena perusahaan yang ter-delisting dari Bursa Efek Indonesia menjadi dasar untuk mengkaji ulang model prediksi kesulitan keuangan yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan bukti secara empiris mengenai pengaruh leverage dan profitabilitas dalam memprediksi financial distress. Sampel penelitian  diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian yang memenuhi kriteria sebanyak 40 perusahaan sektor pertambangan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) periode 2016-2018. Dalam penelitian ini, pengelompokkan perusahaan yang mengalami financial distress menggunakan model Altman Z-score. Pengujian hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan regresi logistik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi logistik dengan tingkat signifikansi 5%, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa leverage memiliki pengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap prediksi financial distress serta profitabilitas memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap prediksi financial distress. Penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan mempertimbangkan aspek makroekonomi dalam memprediksi kondisi financial distress perusahaan.
