Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of dividend announcement to the market reaction. Market reaction can be seen from the changes in stock returns and trading volume activity during the windows period. The sample in this study is a manufacturing company declared a cash dividend and shares actively traded on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2004-2006. The selection of the sample using purposive sampling method, and obtained a sample of 13 companies. The method of data analysis using paired samples t-test. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that there is no difference in stock returns during the period five days prior and five days after the dividend announcement. It means the dividend announcement have no effect on stock returns. This is indicated by a significance value of 0.552. Test results on trading volume activity indicates that there is no difference in the trading volume activity during the period five days prior and five days after the dividend announcement. It means that dividend announcement have no effect on trading volume activity. Abstract

AbstractThe objective is to test whether there are effects of organizational learning, external environment and reputation toward organization competency. Further, to see if there is effect of this competency towards the organization’s performance.This research had theoretical and managerial implication. Theoretically, this study justified previous research findings that organizational learning, external environment and reputation contributed positively and significantly to organization competency. The managerial implication was for the leaders of higher education organizations to always support organizational learning, observe and adapt to external environment change, and create good reputation in order to excel in the competency. Abstract

This research study aimed at revealing perception on public’s satisfaction index to the service quality of Lembaga Ombudsman DI Yogyakarta viewed from the dimension of tangibles, reliabilities, responsiveness, assurance and empathy.The population is all community members living in the Province DI Yogyakarta areas who have reported their cases to Lembaga Ombudsman DIY, totalling 630 per june 2010 and the research samples are 95 respondents that have been established using Cronin and Taylor’s Weighted Servqual formulation. The sampling applies the multistage random sampling technique. The data are collected by means of quetionnaire with 6-scale of confirmation index to obtain the data of public’s satisfaction index-tangibles, reliabilities, responsiveness , assurance and empathy.. each instrument has been examined and has fulfilled the validity and reliability standard through the Hoyt program, SPSS of 2000.Servqual has started with the concept of services quality and has demonstrated the model of services quality gaps. This research tries to identify the most important dimension and perception of external customers towards the Lembaga Ombudsman DI Yogyakarta. Abstract

Job shop scheduling adalah model permasalahan penjadwalan pekerjaan manufaktur yang bertujuan memperoleh total waktu pengerjaan (makespan) minimum. Permasalahan ini bersifat NP-hard sehingga untuk tingkat kesulitan yang semakin tinggi, sangat sulit untuk menemukan solusi optimal dari sebuah kasus job shop scheduling. Solusi dari permasalahan job shop scheduling ini dapat ditemukan dengan menggunakan sebuah penjadwal (scheduler) dengan kemampuan komputasi tertentu. Perkembangan sistem komputasi dewasa ini bergerak ke arah komputasi terdistribusi sehingga sistem penjadwalan berkembang mengikutinya. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis membangun sistem multiagent untuk mengimplementasikan penjadwalan terdistribusi pada permasalahan job shop scheduling. Sistem multiagent ini memiliki kemampuan penalaran dan pembelajaran untuk dapat menentukan solusi terbaik untuk permasalahan yang berbeda secara otomatis. Sistem ini menggunakan case-based reasoning sebagai penalarannya dan reinforcement learning sebagai pembelajarannya.Setelah membangun dan menguji sistem multiagent dengan case-based  reasoning dan reinforcement learning ini, penulis menyimpulkan bahwa sistem multiagent dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan job shop scheduling dan dapat belajar untuk menghasilkan solusi yang optimal untuk setiap kasus.Keyword : Multiagent, Case-Based Reasoning, Reinforcement Learning, Jobshop Scheduling

Abstract

Game theory is the beginning of agency theory, game theory tries to find form and predict conflict resolution between individuals who are rational, and it helps us understand how managers, investors and other parties affected can be rationally agreed with the economic consequences of financial reporting. Agency theory is a branch of game theory that studies the design of contracts to motivate a rational agent to act on behalf of principal when the agent’s interests would otherwise conflict with those of the principal. In Indonesia, entities are divided into two sectors: public sector entities and private sector entities, although they differ in the ownership of the company but they both have similar traits. Both entities are equally divided into two parties that have the greatest interest, called the agent and principals. Both parties are often involved in conflicts of interest (conflict of interest), giving rise to agency cost.Agency conflict that occurs often brought losses to many parties, not only the parties in conflict alone but, more broadly. Be a mechanism to resolve complex mechanism both internally and externally. Internal mechanism with the revamping of the entity itself with providing the motivation of managers and shareholders to behave in a manner that advance corporate objectives. Abstract

Informasi keuangan menjadi berkualitas atau kredibel dan bermanfaat apabila memiliki sifat relevan dan reliable. Dikatakan relevan, apabila informasi keuangan tersebut memiliki sifat bernilai prediktif, bernilai umpan balik dan tepat waktu. Sedangkan reliabilitas atau keandalan apabila dapat diujikan, penyajian secara jujur dan bersifat netral. Kualitas informasi dapat meningkat bagi investor apabila tingkat asimetri informasi rendah, dimana investor dapat mengamati setiap kebijakan manajemen maupun informasi internal perusahaan. Pada teori signaling berperan dalam mengungkapkan peran ketepatwaktuan sebagai signal yang dapat menunjukkan kandungan kualitas informasi laba akuntansi. Abstract

This study uses a quantitative method with using regression analysis. Research subject is Semarang University administrative staff with minimum work term for one year, as many 100 administrative staffs. Research hypothesis is the work motivation, and perceptions of participation opportunities affect in the level of stress on employees of the University of Semarang. Regression equation model is obtained as: y = 34,147 + 0,181 x1 – 0,114 x2. From the above results obtained that F calculated = 116,207 with a significance level of p-value = 0,000, so there is a linear relationship, motivations and perceptions of participation opportunities to job stress. As increasing participation opportunities, job stress decreases. While the motivation increases, the job stress is higher. Motivational influence on the level of stress 70,6%, while the determination coefficient describes the participation opportunities and work motivation has contributed 69,9% to the stress levels of employees of private colleges. Empirical average stress level, 71,41 at the interval score of 18 to 90 so that the stress is high. Participation opportunities empirical mean score of 47.17 at intervals score 25 to 125 that are low and work motivation empirical mean at intervals of 64 to 320 is high.Keyword : motivasi kerja, presepsi peluang partisipasi, tingkat stress

Abstract

Recent developments have proven that the companys management is not enough just to make sure if the management arrangements work well and efficiently, corporate governance is corporate governance to explain the relationship between the various participants in the company which determines the direction of the companys performance. Performance of the company itself can be seen through the companys financial performance can be measured using the Net Profit Margin, Return on Assets, Return on Equity, Earnings per Share, and Tobins Q. Net Profit Margin, Return on Assets, Return on Equity and Earnings per Share is itself a companys profitability level analysis tool that uses the concept of conventional income. Tobins Q is the ratio of which is a concept that shows the current estimate of the financial markets about the value of the return on investment. If the q-ratio above one, indicating that investment in income producing assets that provide higher value than investment spending, this will stimulate investment. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of direct application of good corporate governance as measured by a score of Corporate Governance Perception Index of the companys financial performance.Sample of this research is that companies follow the assessment of the implementation of Good Corporate Governance and entered the top 10 Corporate Governance Perception Index by the Indonesian Institute for Corporate Governance. The number of samples in this study was 45 from 2006-2010. Analytical techniques used to test the hypothesis is a simple linear regression analysis to determine the effect of the implementation of Good Corporate Governance for the companys financial performance.From the research that has been done obtained results that the application of good corporate governance has a positive effect on a companys financial performance as measured by the Net Profit Margin, Return on Assets, Return on Equity, Earnings per Share, and Tobins Q.Keywords: Good Corporate Governance, Net Profit Margin, Return on Assets, Return on Equity, Earning per Share, Tobin’s Q

Abstract

STIE Bank BPD JatengAbstractRisk of profit loss in farming system is inevitable since there is a fluctuation in prices of agricultural products. Diversification is, therefore, the appropriate way to reduce the risk associated with the fluctuation. However, the right combination of production in integrated farming system is very important to consider because it will lead to the high revenue. The objective of this analysis is to assess the levels of production in dairy and coffee farming on whether or not the combination of the productions is optimal. This analysis is based on a study undertaken in Sleman, Yogyakarta, where the integrated farming system exists. The theory of economies of scope is employed in this study, and the combination of productions is tested stochastically. Data are obtained by interviewing 35 producers running dairy and coffee farming simultaneously. The result of this study indicates that the integrated farming system has an advantage in terms of economies of scope, but the combination of products is not optimal. The best alternative to enhance the revenue is to transfer the Robusta coffee production into the fresh milk production, by transferring the resources used in the coffee farming into the dairy farming.
