Abstract

The objectives of this research is to find out the effect of the games and mastery of the vocabulary of beginning reading ability of children aged 5-6 years. The games are scrabble and card game while mastery of vocabulary are consist of high mastery of vocabulary and low mastery of vocabulary. The results showed that (1) there are differences in beginning reading ability between children who are given scrabble game and card game, (2) there is an interaction effect between the game and mastery of vocabulary toward beginning reading ability (3) children with higher mastery of vocabulary that are given treatment by scrabble game would have higher beginning reading ability than the treatment given to the child with card game, (4) children with lower mastery of vocabulary that are given treatment by card game would have relatively the same beginning reading ability whether in card game or scrabble game.Keywords: games, mastery of the vocabulary, beginning reading ability

Abstract

The purpose of this case study is to try to obtain the data in describing the early writing skills through occupational therapy approaches in kindergarten children who have autistic spectrum disorders. The research was conducted at the Rainbow Kindergarten Special Needs Son Tangerang to the subject of autistic children aged 5-8 years who underwent occupational therapy. The method in this study using a case study with data collection through observation, documentation and writing skills beginning asessmenin children.Results showed that children with autistic spectrum disorders have a different beginning writing skills in accordance with the characteristics of each child both aspects of behavior, fine motor, attention and concentration as well as the level of language comprehension. Impact accompaniment of the results showed that an increase in learning, especially in the beginning after the childs writing skills through occupational therapy.Keywords: writing skills, autistic spectrum, occupational therapy

Abstract

The objectives of this study was to find out suitable learning approach in order to increase learning mathematics achievement. This study was an experimental, consists of a dependent variable, it is mathematics learning achievement and a independent variables, it is are learning approach. The treatment applied were thematic learning approach and subject approach. Abstract

The objective of this research is to know: the learning process to increase multicultural approach kindergarten student of 6 years through multicultural approach based on folktales and change of attitude towards tolerance after the implementation. 12 students of Qurrota A’yun kindergarten Bandar Lampung are the research subject. This research uses action research method according to Kemmis and Mc Taggart that consist of four steps: plan, action, observation, and reflection. Data collecting techniques uses field notes, interview, documentation, and observation. This research uses descriptive analysis. The result of the research describe that multicultural approach on folktales gives impact for increasing attitude towards tolerance of 6 years old. The result shows increase of 50,5 %.Keywords: increase, multicultural, kindergarten

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increased of children creativity of drawing and playing with clay through learning model of Beyond Centers and Circle Time. The study involved seventeen children of kindergarten group B in the ECE Learning Center of Yarsi, Jakarta. Research carried out by using the method of action research spiral cycle model developed by Kemmis & Mc. Taggart and successfully completed in three cycles. Quantitative data collected through the performence of early assessment and assessment of each the end of the cycles of action. Quantitative data on the childs creativity score improvement was analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results show that: (1) the creativity of drawing between cycles has increased, which is an average score on the pre-action x1=49,84), the end of the first cycle x2=53,29), the end of the second cycle x3=55,12), and post-action x4=57,00); and (2) the creativity of playing with clay between cycles increased, which is an average score on the pre-action x5=39,69), the end of the first cycle x6=43,56), the end of the second cycle x7=45,41), and post-action  x8=46,20).Keywords: creativity, kindergarten, beyond centers and circle time

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether students field of study is influenced by the Islamic Education teachers teaching methods and intensity of teacher assessments in class 1 SDN 1 Poasia Kendari. Study with a sample of 40 people. This research used Ex Post Facto and analysis of descriptive and inferential data. Descriptive analysis is used to present data in the form of histograms, graphs, calculation of mean, median, mode, standard deviation, and the theoretical range of each variable. Inferential analysis is then performed to test the hypothesis through the analysis of variance (ANAVA) with two factors. The results indicate that there are significant differences in the stimulation of teaching methods of teachers using the method of administration tasks and methods of lecture, there were no differences in the method of administration tasks through the lecture method of assessment of high intensity, there is no difference in the method of administration tasks through the lecture method of assessment of low intensity and there is nointeraction effect of teachers teaching methods and intensity of assessment of learning outcomes of students in class 1 SDN 1 Poasia Kendari.Keywords: teaching methods, intensity of teacher assessments

Abstract

Managerial early childhood leadership strategy is an effort to coaching is aimed at children from birth to age six years conducted through the provision of educational stimulation to assist the growth and development physically and mentally so that children have a readiness in entering further education.Managerial early childhood leadership strategy has the function of instruction, consultative, exemplary, participatory, and delegation. Abstract

The objective of study was to analyze and describe about the application of role play activity for developing of children self concept. This research was carried out at TK Labschool STAI Bani Saleh for student 5-6 years old in group B. This self concept is needed for early chilhood in order to have understanding about them self. The method employed in this research was Action Research which developed by Kemmis and Taggart. The subject of this research were the kindergarten students of group B strawberry class were eleven students. at TK Labschool STAI Bani Saleh. The analysis of data in this research employed by quantitative data and qualitative data. The quantitative data analysis obtained there was a development enhanchment of self concept student from pra intervensi up to second cycle, about 25,5 %. For the analysis qualitative data was employed by analysis interactik model of Miles and Hiberman by the steps: 1. reduction, 2. display, 3. verification by data analyzing from the observasion script, documentation script and interview script during the research.Keywords: self concept, role play activity

Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out whether there is any effect of instructional method and level of creativity on science learn result of grade three Elementary Student at Tomalima-Passo Ambon. This research was conducted in grade three Elementary Student at Tomalima-Paso Ambon during 2011 academic year. The first result of the research describes that the level of science learn result using the demonstration-experiment (De-eks) instructional method is higher than using discussion-speech (Dis-ce) instructional method. Second, There is a significant difference between a group with high level creativity by using the demonstration-experiment (De-eks) instructional method and a group with high level creativity by using discussion-speech (Dis-ce) instructional method. Third, there is a difference in science learn result between a group with low level creativity by using the demonstration-experiment (De-eks) instructional method and a group with low level creativity by using discussion-speech (Dis-ce) instructional method. Fourth, There is no significant difference interaction between instructional method and level of creativity to science learn result.Keywords: instructional method, level of creativity and science learn result
