<![CDATA[Job performance is formally defined as the value of the set of employee behaviors that contribute to organizational goal accomplishment. Performance is important in management because it is related to the productivity of the institution or organization. Teacher performance is determined by several factors such as discipline. This study aims to determine: the relationship between the disciplines with the performance of teachers. The research was conducted on the state senior high schools in three districts of Depok, West Java. The method used was survey. The target population was 109 of the teachers with the State Civil Service status. The number of whole sample is 86 teachers. The instrument used is questioner. The results of research found that: (1) there is a positive relationship between the disciplines with performance of teachers. The better the teacher’s discipline, the higher the performance of teacher will be. (2) The principals as managers and leaders have an important role to improve teacher performance. (3) There are still teachers who have a lack of discipline that affect performance.]]>

<![CDATA[The number HIV prevalence at transvestite prostitutes kept growing from year to year. It was 23, 2% in 2011. The on going up level of HIV prevalence in this population was caused of the inconsistence of using condoms in sexual activities. The objectives of this research are: (1) to discuss the HIV prevalence (2) try to find out the alternative to give the Behavior policy alternative which could be used to increase the use of condoms in preventing HIV at transvestite prostitutes in the sport center of Bekasi in 2014. This study used a confirmatory qualitative as through further interviews, observations and document studies. There were 8 informants as samples chosen through a purposive sampling that consisted of the transvestite prostitutes, the head of health service and the coordinator of non governmental organization. The results show that (1) the factors on individual levels (internal) which consisted of knowledge, motivation, and readiness to change behavior and willingness to support the use of using condoms even though it was still inconsistent. (2) Factors of interpersonal levels consisted of the influence of unchanging partner, friends of the same age, and seniors and clients who generally supported and not to support the behavior of using condoms in every sexual intercourse. (3) Factors of public policy level especially the public policy in Bekasi was still weak and found to support as well as hamper the behavior of using condoms. (4) The content of current policy was still relative and only recognized some of the important aspects in preventing and handling HIV/AIDS. (5) The alternative policy as TOR was the suggestion of improvement program, activities, budget for prevention and handling HIV/AIDS in Bekasi.]]>

<![CDATA[This paper discussed about the utilization of MODIS and TRMM satellite data to monitor flood in paddy field. The purpose of this research is to improve the quality of provision spatial information of flood prone area in the paddy field in East Java and Bali Province which can be done periodically (monthly) based on remote sensing data. Data used in this research is Terra/Aqua MODIS (Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectoradiometer) on November and December 2011 on 8 daily period, rainfall data which is obtained from TRMM data in the same period on November and December 2011, standard extensive field and administration map of East Java and Bali province. The method which is used in this research is to combine EVI (Enhance Vegetation Index) with rainfall data in the same period in order to obtain flood prone area, which is classified into 5 classes, namely non flood, mild, moderate, heavy, and very heavy.]]>

<![CDATA[Spaces of consumption are a concept of a cultural society that came about in the wake of industrial revolution. Shopping centres, build in every city in every corner of world, are packed with visitors and buyers. The developments of shopping centres with engineered interior are done to entice people to come and shop, and gaining profit from them. Engineered interior is a part of architecture which studies how to create a space for activity; this includes spaces in shopping centres. Interpretation has a lot of definition, some of them are: explanation, decode, represent. The goal of this study is to interpret the space of consumption in a shopping centre. Semiotic approach, with sign system, shall be used as an interpretation reading tool through literature review, observation and qualitative research. The result of the study are: (1) a deeper understanding of space consumption will have huge impact to the current and future lifestyle. (2) The study can also be used by government official in terms of city planning, shopping centre placement that benefitted all individuals and societies.]]>

<![CDATA[Indonesia as an archipelagic country with various ethnic groups which has the diversity of thinking, art, religion, science, languages and traditions of the local cultures with unique n different characteristics. The objective of this study is to analyze the Indonesian cultural diversity by using SWOT analysis. The methods used library research with descriptive explorative approaches. it is concluded that: (1) The differences arising from cultural diversity has the potential as a nation to build strength, (2) The weaknesses arising from the lack of understanding of the cultural values to trigger conflict, (3) The opportunities arise when working together despite the different cultures in order to face the globalization, (4) As the challenges to respond and to manage the value of local and global competition so as to maintain the existing culture.]]>

<![CDATA[A mass fighting amongst students often happens lately is very troubling and need to be solve gradually and thoroughly. The purpose of this paper is to discuss: (1) the causes and effects of a brawl, (2) education and teaching roles in forming the behavior of students in order to cope with a brawl. The methods used is library studies with descriptive, exploratory approach. It can be concluded that: (1) a brawl may occur due to less of one's personality both because of internal and external factors. A brawl harms not only for the students themselves, but also families and society in general, because it resulted in both in the form of material loss or casualties. (2) the role of moral education at home and school early is crucial to form the personality of the students. It is expected that it may resolve the problem and reduce the losses as well as creating a conducive situation in supporting the smooth national development. It takes an entire society participation in addressing the problem of a brawl, according to the capacity of the respective functions with more emphasis to preventively than of a repressively action.]]>

<![CDATA[Re-Invention of Batik and Indonesian Identity in the Global Market Arena. Nowadays, what is called ‘tradition’ that appears to be or declared to be ‘old’ often has a recent or new origin or even constitutes a new re-invention. Re-invention is a conscious effort to construct a new identity based on tradition as a builder of social ties and politically legitimize status and authority. If the so called ‘authentic’ tradition can also be constructed or reconstructed for political or for the sake of tourism, the question is how we position traditional visual arts, in this case batik within the global market. How do we render our qualities into marketable commodity, fit for competition on the global market. Economic capital is not enough; efforts must be made to attain cultural capital, a constant cultural knowledge, competence and superiority in one’s field. Only by the ability to change, form and condition batik as a cultural production, the re-invention of tradition becomes our source of creativity and our identity in the global arena.]]>

<![CDATA[The general guidelines of Balanced Nutrition (PUGS) need to be socialized to all walk Indonesian society in order to improve the understanding and the ability to consume food, healthy behaviors based on 4 pillars principles, namely: (1) variety of food consumption, (2) behaviors of clean living, physical activity, (3) and (4) maintain a normal body weight. Posyandu cadre has a very important role in supporting the achievement of behavior level that supports the health status improvement of the whole family. The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between the knowledge and attitude of posyandu cadre acts of PUGS in the community. This research is a case study conducted at Posyandu in Pondok Betung Village RW 01 Pondok Aren District for 3 days in June 2013 with a sample of 56 people and using questionnaires. The results showed that: (1) there is no relationship between the level of education with action cadre of Posyandu PUGS, (2) there is no relation between the age and the action of posyandu cadre PUGS, (3) there was no connection between the job action cadre of posyandu about PUGS. (4) there is a link between knowledge and action cadre of posyandu about PUGS, (5) there is no relationship between the attitude of posyandu cadre with the action of PGUS.]]>

<![CDATA[Employee is the asset of a company. The productivity is based on the employees’ performance which is in accordance with the principles of “the right man in the right place†in order to achieve the company’s goal. The first step in placing the right person is by doing the recruitment and selection of the human resources who are suitable and have a high motivation in doing the jobs. The objective of this study is to find out the process, the purpose and the difficulties in the recruitment process. and the obstacles. The method used is literature research with descriptive and explorative approach. It can be concluded that : (1) The well arranged recruitment and selection strategy will deliver positive results for the company, (2) To have the company’s highest performance should be supported by the good quality of the employees, (3) The more effective the recruitment, the better the employee will be, (4) There are some obstacles in the recruitment process such as the company’s regulation, habit of the possible employees and external factors of the company’s surrounding.]]>

<![CDATA[The success of a leader in managing an organization is influenced by a variety of factors including the ability of the individual as well as the organizational culture and the style of leadership. Emotional intelligence or emotional quotient (EQ) is the ability of a person to receive, assess, manage, and control the his emotions and others surrounding. Organizational culture is a value system that is believed to have been understood, applied and developed on an ongoing basis by all members in an organization. Leadership style is the behavior of an individual who led the activity – activity of a group to one goal to be achieved together. The purpose of disresearch is to determine: (1) the relationship between the emotional intelligence and leadership’style (2) the relationship between organizational culture and leadership’s style (3) the relationship between emotional intelligence and cultural organizations simultaneously with the leadership’s style. This research was conducted at PT.Faber Castell Indonesia with 157 people of production supervision employees as respondents taken by random. This quantitative research techniques data analysis used regression and correlation, the hypothesis test. The results showed that: (1) there is a positive andsignificant relationship between emotional intelligence and leadership (2) there is a significant and positive relationship between organizational culture and leadership’s style (3) there is a positive relationship between simultaneously emotional intelligence and Cultural Organization with the leadership’s style of production supervision at PT.Faber Castell Indonesia.]]>
