Elementary is published twice a year (every six months, i.e. January and July) as scientific communication means of academic people in the study of Islamic Elementary School Teacher Education. Editorial Board receives the articles from the educators, observers, researchers on Islamic Elementary School Teacher Education to be published after having tight selection, peer review, and serious editting.

Abstract: Mathematics has a very important role in thedevelopment and advancement of science and technology or scienceand technology. Low Indonesian student mathematics achievementin some competition in the world can hinder the progress of thenation though the position of mathematics is essential. On the otherhand, mathematics is also seen as one of the subjects that becomemajor stressors or most worrying lesson in the learning process inschools. Abstract: Lesson Study is not a strategy or method of learning,but it is one of the development efforts to improve the learningprocess conducted by a group of teachers in a collaborative andsustainable, in planning, implementing, observing and reportinglearning outcomes. It is not a project for a moment, however it is acontinuous activity that is relentless and is an attempt to apply theprinciples of Total Quality Management, which improve studentlearning processes and outcomes on an ongoing basis, based on thedata. Lesson Study is an activity that can encourage the formationof a community of learning (learning society) are consistently andsystematically carry out repairs themselves, both at the individuallevel and managerial.
