Abstract

When a teacher trying to use anomaly phenomenon to encourage conceptual change, he/she will use model process cognitive conflict to anticipate how students may experience cognitive conflict. It can help teacher not to let students have conflict. Conflict Cognitive defined as conflict between structure cognitive (i.e, structure organized knowledge in brain) with the environment (for example, an experiment, demonstration, opinions of peers, books, or other), or conflict between concept in the cognitive structure. Based on the results of the field studycounterexample is important to create cognitive conflict that can support the development of specific knowledge on the students.

Abstract

Land conflict in Urutsewu cannot be separated from the role of Kyai who tried to cultivate a political power struggle among citizens. Kyai who settled in the village and interact with citizens occupies a high social position. The religious dimension in the Kyai’s resistance in the conflictarea in Urutsewu, Kebumen is seen in some aspects of social movements. The first aspect is framing, the second is peasant mobilization through social spaces and traditional symbols and the third aspect is the network of resistance. Each of these aspects relates with one another. These three aspects will certainly be strong when the resistance networks synergize consists of different layers that both layers of the santri, farmer associations between villages in Urutsewu, student activists, civil society organizations and institutions of legal assistance and women.

Abstract

The problem of social welfare becomes the theme which has been often to be discussed. This paper aims to describe the role of English Education as the solution of society’s welfare problem in Indonesia. English as an international language has become a compulsory subject in every level of education since last two decades. There are many advantages that can be gained by mastering English well, one of them is able to improve someone’s welfare level. One of the roles of English in increasing the Indonesian society’s welfare is English can be a potential provision in conducting entrepreneurship. In the other hand, it will increase their income. Besides, by having a good English mastery can facilitate them in gaining a better job.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper was to explain the concept of mental health perspective Contemporary Psychology, describesthe mental health of an Islamic perspective and describes how mental health recovery. The theory used is the concept of mental health perspective Contemporary Psychology, and the concept of mental health perspective Islamic Psychology Writing is writing method using qualitative research methods. Mental health is avoiding an Islamic perspective of all symptoms, complaints and mental disorders, is able to adapt to their social environment, develop self-potential grounded in faith and devotion to God. Mental health perspective of Islam emphasize the power of faith. Meanwhile, the acquisition means a mental health perspective with the method pious Muslim, Islamic and Ihsaniah. Mental health is the responsibility of all good families, schools, communities and government. Maintaining mental health can be started from the family. Application of Islamic values in families with ketelaadanan parents will be able to form the children have a healthy mental. With the growing dynamic of human life, the scienceof mental health, especially mental health needs to be developed with an Islamic perspective various studies and research, especially the development of mental health recovery means Islamic perspective.

Abstract

Purpose – This paper aims to analyze the response to the prohibition on zakat (tithe) collection by private organizations in Aceh Indonesia. Qanun (Islamic regional law) No. 10/2007 explicitly prohibited private zakat organizations (Lembaga Amil Zakat (LAZ)) from collecting zakat as it is included in the government budget. However, there is no sanction for incompliance and private zakat organizations seek other funds for their activities. Design/Methodology/Approach – This paper is based on primary data from interviews in June 2013. Three private LAZs were interviewed on this specific case. Findings – This paper gives facts that each LAZ responded differently to the regulation. They still conduct the social activities without taking zakat as their source of funds. Practical Implications – This regulation caused uncertainty for LAZ; besides, they have to avoid what is prohibited in the regulation. However, this condition created some creativities of LAZ in order to survive and to service the community by promoting good programs. Originality/Value – This may be claimed as the first research on the area of prohibition on zakat (tithe) collection in Aceh Indonesia. Keywords: Zakat, organization, baitulmal, charity, Indonesia

Abstract

Islamic education for the nation of Indonesia becomes very important because it is known as a diverse nation in various aspects, such as religion, ethnic groups, languages, traditions and even colors. Once differences is not supported by human maturity, it easily leads to conflict of life. Maturity becomes the main factor to set it in order, safe, comfortable and peaceful atmosphere among humans. Maturity is also one indicator of educational success. It is characterized by three things: independence, stability and responsibility. These three are able to realize personal quality and also produce the social quality for humans. Based on Law number 20 year 2003 about National Education System, the position of Islamic education is very strategic because its essence contained also functioned as barometer in arranging the Indonesia national education system. They are found out as the unity of the nation, among others, spiritual power, the ability of self-control, personality, intelligence, noble morals and various life skills that are useful for individual, society and country.

Abstract

Issues about Islamic education have gained much attention to various historical, political, and socio-cultural factors. The state of Islamic education is attached to a great extent to local and international developments. Islamic education, like other institutions in the Muslim world, has struggled with challenges of development, modernization and globalization. Islamic education faces challenges from within as well as the challenges that the system poses to communities and societies in the Muslim world and beyond. The challenges explained by categories of its position within the larger educational system, its education process and pedagogy, the efforts of Muslim scholars, and modernization, politicization and militarization of Islamic education. However, improvement of the existing achievements must be a continuous exercise. A certain kind of strategy has to be designed and regularly improved. Through this, Islamic education could be a leadingendeavor for the sake of harmonious and safe living for all mankind, irrespective of ethnic and religious orientations, and also could achieve the educational balance between tradition and enlightenment.

Abstract

CONCEPTS Political legitimacy: The foundation of such governmental power as is exercised both with a consciousness on the government’s part that it has a right to govern and with some recognition by the governed of that right. Political power: Is a type of power held by a group in a society which allows administration of some or all of public resources, including labor, and wealth. There are many ways to obtain possession of such power. Demonstration: Is a form of nonviolent action by groups of people in favor of a political or other cause, normally consisting of walking in a march and a meeting (rally) to hear speakers. Actions such as blockades and sit-ins may also be referred to as demonstrations. A political rally or protest Red shirt: The term5inology and the symbol of protester (The government of Abbhisit Wejjajiva). Yellow shirt: The terminology and the symbol of protester (The government of Thaksin Shinawat). Political crisis: Is any unstable and dangerous social situation regarding economic, military, personal, political, or societal affairs, especially one involving an impending abrupt change. More loosely, it is a term meaning ‘a testing time’ or ‘emergency event.

Abstract

Ziarah qubur is the sunnah worship by Prophet Muhammad, either a family grave or the clergy, auliya’, and shalaf al-Salih who have died. The behavior of ziarah qubur is interested to be studied because it seems to be a trend for people who have interest in popolar culture. Popular culture is often regarded as a product or cultural practices with low taste. This refers to the view that popular culture is a commercial culture as a result of mass production and industrialization so that it can be a lifestyle. This study aimed to answer the extent to which the publics understanding of the ziarah qubur in Kendal regency. Through interviews and observation, this qualitative research led to the conclusion that ziarah qubur became a tradition, entertainment and ziarah motivation. The results of this research could develop in a more diverse results if developed on a broader subject.

Abstract

The Islamic mortgages have a very important role in demand of the financial liquidity for the majority of Indonesian Muslim population. In operational practice, the Islamic mortgages apply the sharia principles. In order the implementation of Islamic sharia does not deviate from the principles of sharia, it needs to get in-depth study for the practice of getting a clear basis that this study is very useful for the community and for practitioners of sharia mortgages. Based on the research and tracking of economic principles concerning liens, it is obtained the result that the economic principles of sharia on the mortgage that is using the principle of ar-Rahn (mortgage), is used in the pledge of the goods moving, while the principle of ijarah (lease) is used in case goods which is placed in a warehouse owned by Perum Pledge wages where a rent must pay rent, and qard hasan principles is used in providing loansto customers who return it without interest.
