Abstract

Abstract. Aggressivity is one of destructive behaviors and often occurs among adolescents. This study aimed to test the hipothesis there are negative correlations between emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence with aggressive behaviors. Subjects of the study were 120 students of public senior high school Grogol Kediri East Java. Data were collected by scales of the three variables, and further analysed by regression technque and partial correlation. Results showed that the research hypotesis above could be confirmed. Adolescents with higher emosional intelligence and spiritual tended to lower in agressive behaviors.Keywords: emotional intelligence, spiritual intelligence, aggressive behavior

Abstract

Abstract. This study aimed to determine the relationships between emotional maturity, self-confidence and the anxiety to face retirees. Subjects were 60 civil servants who are resident residing in the Territory Housing Complex Tandes. Data retrieval tool used is the scale emotional maturity, self-confidence scale and face the anxiety scale pension. Data were analyzed by using multiple reggression. The results showed: first, there was a negative relationship between emotional maturity and anxiety civil servants. It showed when one's emotional maturity is high, then the anxiety state employees retirement will decrease. Second, showed that there was a negative relationships between self-confidence and anxiety civil servants. when  self-confidence is high, then the anxiety state employees retire-ment will decrease.Key Words: emotional maturity, self-confidence and employee’s anxiety in  fa-cing the future pension.

Abstract

Abstract. New students often encountered obstacles, especially adapted to the academic environment.  For being well adjusted students need the ability of self-leadership. Based on that reason, this research aims to test a correlation between self-leadership and academic adjustment in college students in the first year. Subjects of the study were 93 freshman classes at the some public universities located in Surabaya. Data were collected by questionare and Likert scale. Further, the data were analyzed by the Pearson product moment correlation. Results showed positively correlation between self-leadership and students’ academic adjustment at the first year. Abstract

Abstract. This research is to find out if anything there is a relationship between the intensity of parent-child communication with adolescent self-regulation in schools. The population used in this study is a teenage boarding school educated men who are MTS / Junior High School, class VIII, as many as 84 people. Sampling using purposive sampling. Methods of data collection using the Likert method to scale communication and self-regulation. The results of data analysis showed no association between communication with the self-regulation of rhitung = 0.510 with rtabel = 0.220, where rhitung (0.510)> rtabel (.220). The hypothesis stating no connection between the intensity of parent-child communication with adolescent self-regulation on schools received a correlation coeffi-cient of 51%). Keywords: Intensity of Communication, Self Regulation

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of research was to find correlations between self concept and democratic parental with students’ self confidence. The subject of research was 82 students of SMK NEGERI I Mojokerto, consists of 55 boys and 27 girls. The data was collected with used self concept scale, democratic parent educated and self confidence. The collected data was analyzed by regression analyzed and continued partial correlation. The result showed; there were significance relationship between self concept and democracy parental with self confidence of students. Also, the result showed positive correlation between either self concept or democratic parental with students’ self confidence. Abstract

Abstract. Aggressivity is a destructive behavior which can be done by anyone and anywhere. The purpose of this study to examine the relationship between stress and family support with aggressiveness at wife who underwent a long-distance marriage.  The subject of this study were 53 wives who underwent a long-distance marriage which have child at least one person. The data was collected using Aggressivity scale, stress scale and the scale of family support. The collected data were analyzed with a statistical technique of regression analysis and then parcial correlation. Results of regression analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between stress and family support with Aggressivity, with the effective contribution of stres and family support respectively by 23,07 % dan 45,03 %. By partial, stress variable did not correlated with aggressivity, but the family support variables significantly negatively correlated with aggressivity.Keywords : stress, family support, aggressiveness

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of creativity in shaping the student coping strategy mainly by distinguishing personality type (ie based on the type of Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Complience and differentiate learning styles (ie visual learning style, auditory and kinestesik). Variables consisted of variables depending Strategy coping and three independent variables, namely Creativity, Personality Types and Learning Styles. models are quantitative study with 38 study subjects at the end of the semester students of the Faculty of Psychology, University of Surabaya August 17, 1945. research data retrieval is done by deploying scale two of them made by a team of researchers and one scale using standard scales that have proven validity reliability. regression analysis by ANOVA using SPSS version 20 ( IBM version) shows that creativity plays a role in shaping the individual coping strategies. separately but not learning styles play a role in shaping the coping strategies despite a role in creativity individuals, where the t-test results illustrate that there are significant differences in creativity between the visual and auditory learning styles. opposite, personality type does not affect creativity but affect the individual coping strategies, although the results of the t test shows that only dominance and Steadiness personality and influence by complience which have significant differences in coping strategies.Keywords : Coping Strategies , Creativity , Personality Types , Learning Styles

Abstract

Abstract, Research for studies both simultaneous or partial correlation of democratic parenting and self-efficacy to creativity. Subject are 123 mid adolescence (60 boys  and 63 girls), ages from 16 to 18 years old. Data taken from scales of C.O.R.E for creativity, P.A.O.D for democatic parenting and ED-G for self-efficacy. Result of simultaneous test is R =  0,384, F =  10,349, p = 0,000 (p < 0,05). Democratic parenting and self-efficacy simultaneously and significant would have predicting creativity. R2 =  0,147 refer that 14,7% varians proportion on creativity would have explained from democratic parenting and self-effiacy, other for 85,3% could explained from other factors that not analyzed. Constant of 146,671 is score of creativity if no democratic parenting and self-efficacy. Result of partial test of democratic parenting t = 0,420, p = 0,675 (p > 0,05). Democratic parenting partially wasn’t correlated with creativity. Result of partial test of self-efficacy t = 4,534, p = 0,000 (p < 0,05). Self-efficacy partially was significantly positive correlated with creativity. The findings are discussed in terms of their implications for mid adolescent context. Key words: creativity, democratic parenting, self-efficacy

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to find whether there is a relationship between self-confidence and body image with the trend of anorexia nervosa in adolescent princess.  Subjects of the study were  120 student  of SMK Negeri 2 Kediri. Three scales were used to collect data and then this data were analysed by multiple regression with stepwise method. The results showed self-confidence and body image together give  to the tendency of anorexia nervosa. Based on the results the hypothesis proposed in this study can be accepted, that there is a negative relationship between self-confidence and body image with the trend of anorexia nervosa. The effective contribution of each individual predictor,  self-confidence to have a role that is 9,1% while body image that is 26,1%.Keywords : Self-confidence, body image, anorexia nervosa

Abstract

Abstract. This research was purposed to test the hipotesis: there are differences of students’ learning style evaluated from personality type and gender. Research subjects were 100 student, consists of 50 girls and 50 boys. Measurement of independent variable applies scale  personality type of temperament in this research expressed through scale developed by Littauer (1996). Measurement of dependent variable applies learning style scale V-A-K which has been developed by Bandler and Ginder ( in Gunawan, 2003). Data were analyzed by Chi Sqare and t-test. Result of analysis showed that learning style if it is evaluated from both personality type and gender there was no differences. It means that most of the students have the same tendency in the learning style either visually, auditory and also kinesthetic, if it is evaluated from their personality type and gender.
