Abstract

Abstract,The Purpose  of this study is to determine the relationship between the Self-Direction Learning  with Self Esteem, and the relationship the Self-Direction Learning  with Adversity Quotient, separately or simultaneously. Variables used in this study consists of the independent variables , the Self-Esteem (X1), Adversity Quotient (X2). While the dependent variable, is the Self-Direction in Learning  (Y). The subject of this study are goverment junior high school 4 Gresik students class VIII. The Analysisresult state that Self-Esteem correlated positively with Self-Direction Learning . But Adversity Quotient is positively correlated with Self-Direction Learning . This means that significant, the variable Self-Esteem and Adversity Quotient togetherly affect significantly to the Independence of Learning. Keywords: Self-Esteem, Adversity Quotient, Self-Direction Learning

Abstract

Abstract : The aims of this research to examine the relations among the emotional quotient, discipline and anxiety. The subject of this study were 40 students of woman petty officer “Dikmabawan TNI AL XXXI” academic year 2012. Data were collected by scales of anxiety, emotional quotient and discipline. Based on the correlation and the regression analyses were obtained there was no correlation among the discipline with anxiety’s student of woman petty officer in facing the basic military education of the Indonesian Naval. Expectionally  emotional quotient with anxiety showed a negative correlation signifycantly.  The more emotional quotient, the less anxiety. Nevertheless the result of correlation analyses between either emotional quotient or discipline have a significant relation with anxiety. Variables of emotional quotient and discipline give effective contribution toward anxiety about 52.6%.Keyword :, Anxiety, Emotional Quotient And Discipline.

Abstract

Abstract. This research aimed to find the relationships of emotional intelligence, social support and teachers’ tendency to burnout. Subjects of the study were teachers of SMAN 3 Bangkalan. Data were collected by scales of emotional intelligence, social support and tendency to burnout, and then analyzed by statistical regression and partial correlation. Results  showed relationships significantly between emotional intelligence, social support and tendency to burnout. There was a negative correlation between emotional intelligence and tendency to burnout. There was a negative correlation between social support and tendency to burnout.Keywords: emotional intelligence, social support, burnout

Abstract

Abstract. This study examined the correlation between emotional intelligence and peer group conformity to adolescent self-concept. The subjects were the students of class XI students of SMK Taman Siswa Mojokerto. The populationwere 480 students, then 144 students were taken out as the sample of this study. The data collection of this study was got through questionnaire. This study used multiple regression analysis to analyze the data. This study indicated that there is a positive correlation between emotional intelligence and peer group conformity toadolescent self-concept shown by the  value of F = 76.309  with  p = 0.000 (p <0.05). There is also a positive correlation between emotional intelligence and self-concept of adolescents shown by the value of  t = 9.654  withp = 0.000 (p <0.05).  This study showed  no positive correlation between peer group conformity with adolescent self-concept because  the value of  t = 0.601 p = 0.594 (p> 0,05). Keywords: adolescent self-concept, emotional intelligence, peer group conformity

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to examine the relationship of democratic parenting style and emotional intelligence and pro social behaviors in adolescents, especially in Cita Hati junior high school Surabaya. Sampling technique in this study is a simple proportional random sampling technique. Researchers determined by drawing samples taken 2 classes at each level (2 classes of grade 7 and 2 classes of grade 8) and obtained the number of students 96. Based on the regression analysis using SPSS 20, it is found F = 111.993 at p = 0.000 (p <0,01). It can be concluded that the variables jointly democratic parenting style and emotional intelligence significantly correlated with pro social behavior variable. Effective contribution of these two variables X to Y is shown on the price of R2 = 0.707, which means democratic parenting variables and emotional intelligence together an impact of 70.7% on pro social behavior. Partially, the result of statistical calculations showed prices at t = 5.965 p = 0.000 (p <0.05) for the correlation between democratic parenting variables with pro social behavior. Price at t = 2.961 p = 0.008 (p <0.05) for the correlation between emotional intelligence variables with pro social behavior, that is to say, in partial democratic parenting emotional intelligence variables correlated and also correlated significantly with pro social behavior.            Keywords: Democratic Parenting, Emotional Intelligence, Pro social Behavior.

Abstract

Abstract, The research was conducted to find out the relationship between the metacognition and the achievement motivation and the creativity. The subject of the research was the first semester students of Counseling Department academic year 2011/2012 Nusantara PGRI University Kediri. The instrument used was the creativity scale, the metacognition scale, and the achievement motivation scale. The result of the research showed that metacognition and achievement motivation was significantly associated with the creativity shown by the calculated F value 63,084 and the significance of 0,000 (<0,05). The result of determination is 0,508. It means that 50,8 % independent variables (metacognition and achievement motivation) gave contribution to dependent variable (creativity). The result of partial correlation analysis showed that there is a very significant relationship between metacognition and creativity. There is a very significant positive relationship between achievement motivation and creativity. Keywords : creativity, metacognition, and achievement motivation

Abstract

Abstract. The present research aims to find the correlation between self concept and stress with academic procrastination.  The research sbjects were 337 students of faculty of psychology,Wisnuwardhana University. Data for this research were obtained by self concept scale, stress scale and academic procrastination scale. The data then were analyzed  using SPSS for Windows 17, with regression analysis technique and then partial correlation.  The results of regression analysis showed the significant correlation between self concept, stress and academic procrastination. The results of partial correlation analysis  showed the negative correlation between self concept and procrastination, and other while, no correlation  between stress and procrastination.Keywords : self concept, stress, procrastination

Abstract

Abstract. One of the most problems that often faced by researchers is unavailable of instruments to measure variables. Therefore, the present research purposed to develop independent scale as one of some psychological measures which could be used to studies in the future. The independent scale was constructed according to psychometric prosedures and consists of the number of items composed of four components. This research was conducted in two studies, and including 331 subjects (male and female) of students coming from some high schools and a university. Statistical analyses were used to examine data of the scale. Results showed the constructed independent scale was reliable and valid to measuring independent behaviors of individuals.  Keywords: independent scale, measurement

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of the research is to know the relationship between the emotional maturity and self confidence related to the students’ nervousness when they speak in front of the class. The subject of this research is 123 of 5th grade students of Petra 5 Christian Elementary School. The result of this research shows that there is a significant correlation between the emotional maturity and self confidence and the students’ nervousness when they speaking front of the class; partially, the result shows that the emotional maturity correlates negatively but it is not significant with the students’ signifycant who speak in front of the class and self confidence, correlates negatively which is significant with the students’ signifycance when they speak in front of the class.Keyword : the nervousness speaking in front of the class, the maturity of the emotional, self confidence

Abstract

Abstract, Harsh city life fosters behaviors harm others. Moral-value can internalized through a moral story that will encourage children to behave in prosocial manner. Sixteen moral story of sharing, cooperation, helpfulness, and act honestly given to the experimental group children twice a week. At week eight measured prosocial behavior. The measurement results were analyzed by t-test showed t = 18,149 (p < 0,01). The analysis showed the mean of prosocial behavior on experimental group (mean = 162,12) was significantly greater than control group (mean = 96,18). Key words: Moral story, prosocial behavior
