Abstract

In recent years, the development of ICT inevitably influences the teaching and learning process. The instructor should be able to integrate Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) in the classroom. Hence, few studies investigate perceptions of university students and self-perceptions of English instructor’s TPACK, especially in Indonesia. The primary purpose of this study was to find out university students’ perceptions of English Course Instructor’s TPACK, Instructor’s self-perceptions of TPACK, and whether they shared the same perceptions or not. This study was qualitative research in one of the universities in Indonesia. The data collecting techniques were a questionnaire, interviews, and document analysis. This study adopted Jang & Chang questionnaire of TPACK perceptions. The results revealed that university students had a positive response toward the instructor’ TPACK. Similarly, instructor’s self-perceptions also showed that instructor confidently declared that she knew well about the content of the teaching, and the right pedagogy used to deliver the content well. They shared the same perceptions of the English course instructor’s TPACK in Subject Matter Knowledge (SMK) and Instructional Representation & Strategies (IRS). However, they had different perceptions of Technology Integration and Application (TIA). The research implications of this study were as assessment examples of instruction of TPACK by university students and self-perceptions.

Abstract

The pupose of this action research is help students to achive higher score and develop their character and ability to adapt and solve the problems. Kardi Pinter stands for cards, discussion and guided inqury. The teacher explain the material so that students can guess the material explained by teacher to have a correct understanding in terms that are introduced. Project assigment begin by looking at enviromental potential and create new innovations. Student projects assigments to obtain an analysis enhanced through joint project in a group by using RRA method : transect, social mapping, problem three analysis, foccused group discussion. Kardi Pinter learning outcomes generate enthusiasm in caring for environment and learning achievement significantly.Kardi Pinter has been able to improved students achievement to have complrtion value by 65%.There fore replication of Kardi Pinter model learning is feasible to be done as a solution to improve student learning with the same conditions as class XII C.

Abstract

The objective of  this research  “The application of  Point- Counterpoint Variety” is to increase the students’ creativity capable and the outcome of  Pkn subject with “Pembelaan Negara” topic for the students of IX E  SMPN 1 Mojosongo the first semester  academic year 2013/ 2014. This  research using qualitative method with descriptive feature, describe the data and interprise the data. The kind of this research is action research (PTK)  that was done by the researcher directly. The setting of this reseach is IXE class SMP N 1 Mojosongo the first semester academic year 2013/2014  which has low capable from one of the sevent classses paralel. The technic of  collecting the data are test and non test. For collecting the data using the observation and the items of test. To know the efectiveness the process of learning using the strategy “Point-CounterPoint Variety”, the researcher and the collaborator  have done  the observation in the process of learning. While the validity of  the data using content validity and triangulasi. The analysis of the data using the analysis descriptive comparative and qualitative. Indicators which be hope in this research are : 1) Increase the students’ critical capacity from 13,33% (before treatment) become 26,00 %  in the 1st cycle, and 35,00 % in 2nd cycle; 2) Increase the students’ average 71,90 (before tretment) in the 1St cycle to 80,00 in the 1nd cycle and 85,00 in the 2 nd cycle. After the process of collected and analised the data, the result of the research is significant. This result show that the strategy of learning Point-counterpoint variety can improve :1) The students’s  critical capacity 13,33% ( before treatment) to 28,57% in the 1st cycle, and 41,90% in the 2nd cycle. 2) The students’ average 71,90 (before treatment) to 86,67 in the 1st cycle, and 92,14 in the 2rd cycle. Increase the critical capacity and the outcome for  “Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan” with topic “Usaha Pembelaan Negara” for the students IXE class SMP Negeri 1 Mojosongo the first semester academic year 2013/2014.

Abstract

This research is an experimental research that aims to test the effectiveness of RME-based e-books in improving mathematics learning outcomes of Grade VII students on the subject of social arithmetic. E-books before being used in experiments have been declared valid and practical based on expert validation and formative revisions. The effectiveness test of an ebook based on RME results in finding that the average value of student learning outcomes tests that use e-books (experimental class) is higher than the average value of student learning outcomes tests that use printed books (control class). Thus, RME-based e-books can be used as a concrete step for solutions to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes in class VII, choosing the RME approach itself is a form of special effort to make students not only have good mathematical values but the significance of mathematics and feel the benefits of mathematics in life daily. E-books and RME are a good combination in facing the era of competition where most jobs require analytical skills rather than merely performing procedural and mechanistic skills.

Abstract

The learning of electrical installation at Vocational High School often comes to problems as the availability of real apparatus or equipment which are not used again on the next period. It is also getting worse as the learning style is not effective by that way in a group. When it is done in a group, certain student will rely on his/her work to other friends. Consequently, they will get no beneficial from the instructional process done. Therefore, it is developed an interactive multimedia of simple electrical series in order to be directly tried by each student easily. At last, they will be motivated and get the benefit from the lesson

Abstract

This type of research is classroom action research. The purpose of this study was to improve Social Studies learning outcomes in the material of Population Dynamics of Grade VIII D students. The research subject was 39 students Class VIII D of Pangudi Luhur Bintang Laut Surakarta Junior High School. Data collection techniques and tools from learning outcomes use pre-test and post-test learning outcomes. Data analysis uses descriptive qualitative and reflective techniques. The conclusion of this study is the classical completeness of class VIII D students in semester 1 of social studies subjects is 50% can be overcome by applying the type of cooperative learning methods. This research was conducted in two cycles for students of class VIII D semester 1 of Pangudi Luhur Bintang Laut Surakarta Junior High School. Each cycle consists of four components of action research, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The results also showed an increase in learning outcomes, namely the first cycle with the acquisition of an average grade of 85.85 with 75% classical completeness and the second cycle with an average acquisition of 90.82 with 95% classical completeness. The results obtained indicate that the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model can improve the learning outcomes of students of class VIII D of Pangudi Luhur Bintang Laut Surakarta Junior High School

Abstract

The solar system is something that is learned but cannot be seen directly by students. Planet props available in laboratory are also very limited and presented in conventional models so that students are less interested in learning further with the existing planetary models. This study aims to evaluate the results of making astronomy learning media applications with Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality technology. This application is designed and developed using the MDLC method, namely concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing and distribution stages. This interactive media is packaged using Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality technology which are presented in interactive catalog. This study have created the Android-based learning media of the Milky Way Galaxy Planet System. The material is presented in form of discussion about the Solar System that is taught in Middle School. This application can be run optimally with Quadcore 1.5 Ghz device specifications which has 3 GB RAM and gyro sensor. The assessment results from junior high school students on Design and Information Aspects get a Very Good and Very Good grades of 100%, then Navigation Aspects scores of 99.9%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to: (1) Improving student motivation through the application of interactive multimedia in science for fourth grade at Brubuh 2 Elementary School; (2) Improving student learning outcomes through the application of interactive multimedia in science for fourth grade at Brubuh 2 Elementary School. This type of research is a classroom action research (PTK), the research subjects were 21 students of fourth grade at Brubuh 2 Elementary School. The research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques using the test (to measure student learning outcomes), the questionnaire (to measure student motivation), observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data using triangulation techniques and data sources triangulation method. While the criteria for the success of this research if at least 80% of students had reached KKM (minimum completeness criteria) ≥ 70, and the percentage of learners' motivation towards science learning using interactive multimedia by 80%. The results showed that an increase in student learning outcomes, including an increase in the average grade of 60.38% pre-cycle into 72.41 % in the first cycle and 83.09% in the second cycle. The lowest value increased from pre cycles 50 to 60 in the first cycle and 65 in the second cycle. The highest value increase of pre cycles 76 to 90 in the first cycle and 100 in the second cycle. The number of students who reach KKM ≥ 70 also increased from 38.1% pre-cycle to 66.7% in the first cycle and 90.47% in the second cycle. The percentage of student motivation toward science learning by using interactive multimedia application amounted to 67.43% in the first cycle and increased to 84.23% in the second cycle. The second variable of this class action research has qualified research success criteria, that is motivation and completeness learning outcomes of students reached 80 %.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to investigate: (1) the difference of effect between the PBL model and the cooperative learning model of the STAD type on the Biology learning outcome of the students of Senior Secondary Schools of Grobogan Regency; (2) the difference of effect between the high learning interest and the low learning interest on the  Biology learning outcome of the students of Senior Secondary Schools of Grobogan Regency; (3) and the interaction of effect between the learning models and the learning interests on the Biology learning outcome of the students of Senior Secondary Schools of Grobogan Regency. This research used the experimental research method with the factorial design of 2x2. It was conducted at Senior Secondary Schools of Grobogan Regency. The results of this research are as follows: (1) there was a significant difference of effect between the PBL model and the cooperative learning model of the STAD type on the Biology learning outcome of the students of Senior Secondary Schools of Grobogan Regency where the former had a better effect on the Biology learning outcome than the latter as indicated by the result of the two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) in which the F-value  was 4.669 and the p-value was smaller than 0.05; (2) there was a significant difference of effect between the high learning interest and the low learning interest on the Biology learning outcome of the students of Senior Secondary Schools of Grobogan Regency where the former had a better effect on the Biology learning outcome than the latter as indicated by the result of the twoway analysis of variance (ANOVA) in which the F-value  was 5.554 and the p-value was smaller than 0.05; and (3) there was an interaction of effect between the learning models and the learning interests on the Biology learning outcome of the students of Senior Secondary Schools of Grobogan Regency as indicated by the result of the two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) in which the F-value was 4.434, and the p-value was smaller than 0.05. The highest average score in Biology learning of the students with the PBL model and with the high leaning interest was 83.88, whereas the lowest score in Biology learning of the students with the PBL model and with the low learning interest was 74. 47

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the needs of students to the application of CD tutotial as learning media at the course based on practice, its developing and the students’ responds towards the media used in the instructional process.  The program of Educational Technology is famous of its students who have a high capability in multimedia field of study as some of the courses relate to technology-based learning. Unfortunatelly, there are some obstacles coming up as the practice-based course has less optimum on its real class. It makes the researcher trying to develop an application of learning media in term of CD Tutorial to be applied at the class by the practice-based course. This research uses ADDIE developing model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The result of this research and development will be in term of media product which is later on will be done some evaluation tests from the expert teams, and at last filed test to know its effectiveness of its media on the instructional process.
