Marwah: Jurnal Perempuan, Agama dan Gender
marwah (Online ISSN 2407-1587 | Print ISSN 1412-6095), Jurnal Kajian Gender dan Islam adalah jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Pusat Studi Gender dan Anak pada Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. Jurnal ini sudah terbit sejak tahun 2002 dengan nomor ISSN 1412-6095. Terbit sebanyak dua kali dalam setahun, yaitu bulan Juni dan Desember. marwah merupakan media komunikasi ilmiah antar peminat dan pemerhati kajian gender, anak dan Islam. Dengan tujuan mengangkat harkat dan martabat perempuan dan terpublikasinya bahan bacaan/rujukan tentang kajian perempuan. Dengan demikian marwah bisa menjadi media untuk memahami permasalahan perempuan sekaligus menjadi bahan bacaan/rujukan tentang kajian perempuan.

<![CDATA[This article discusses regarding nusyuz of wife and husband in al-Quran perspective. The discussing is focused on the meaning of nusyuz, kinds of nusyuz, and solution which can apply to solve it. According to al-Quran, there are three steps that can be used by husband if his wife nusyûz. They are giving advice to wife, aparting bed room, and blowing. Vice versa, when the husband nusyuz, al-Qur'an gives reference to perform the agreement of peace. When the agreement of peace which offered by the wife is not fulfilled by the husband, then she does not ridha, she can do khulû' or divorce where the wife gives ransom so that her husband divorce her.]]>

<![CDATA[Rohana Kudus is a woman combatant from Minangkabau. She never went to school and only learning by self-educatedly. Even though, her struggle in education have started since childhood. She struggled for the woman education until she died. She struggeled not only through the education instituation but also through the newspaper. The act of Rohana in woman education can be seen trought the founding of Kerajinan Amai Setiia School in Koto Gadang Bukittinggi. In journalist, Rohana is noted as the first journalist woman in Indonesia and founded the newspaper for woman in her home town. She ever invited by the Dutch governance to came to Amstardam, but it was rejected, because she was not able to fight against the cultural construrction which did not permit woman to be active in polict. Finally, Rohana decided to remain her struggle for woman tthrough the journalist and education until she died.]]>

<![CDATA[One of the sexual harassment experienced by the husband is premature ejaculation. This disorders can distrub the harmonisation of husband-wife relationship because one is experiencing premature ejaculation cannot give sexual satisfaction to his wife. Thus, the purpose of marriage is to establish sakinah, mawaddah and mercy familiy will not be realized due to unpay of the rights and obligations. In the Compilation of Islamic Law, premature ejaculation is included as the reason for wife to ask divorce, in Islamic term it called ‘khulu’. While the Shafi’s mazhab, premature ejaculation can be as a reason to give fasakh. Although, ‘khulu “ and ‘fasakh” are icluded as the reasons for divorce , but both have different legal effects. In the hadith of ‘khulu’, it was said that ‘khulu’ does not do due to unperfect husband to fulfill the sexual need of wife or husbund leave his obligations. It is more ampasize on un pleasuare wife toward the husband which will ditrub the harmonisation in the household.]]>

<![CDATA[One aspect of child development that parents are to be developed is language skills. Because language skills are very important in human life, especially to convey wishes, ideas, and problems encountered in everyday life. Language is the ability to communicate with other, in which the thoughts and feelings expressed in the form of symbols or symbols to express the sense of something. Language is an essential factor that distinguishes man from animals. With human language can position itself as civilized creatures and develop its culture. Language skills in children will develop in accordance with the developmental age. However, the development and progress of language would be better if accompanied by coaching and guidance from parents.Many things can be done in the parent language development in early childhood as pioneered and laid the foundation on child language,motor exercises, habit, maintain and supervise the children and prevent child language disrespectful language, develop language skills through play, and communicate actively in family.]]>

<![CDATA[The entrepreneurship is one the Indonesian economy driving factors. It is not only conducted by the men, women too. Some of them make this entrepreneurial activity as a livelihood, and some are making it as a sideline. The results of 37 women who work as taylor in Tampan, Pekanbaru district showed that the factor of independence, emotional and educational together have a significant influence on the women decision to choose entrepreneurship. Partially proved that the independence of the variables have a dominant influence on the women decisions to choose entrepreneurship as a profession.]]>

In relation to masculine and feminine, television always descripts woman as a domestic person which depend on the power of men. Vice versa, a man is a public person who does not depent on the power of woman. Also the senetron theme presents the relation of masculine and feminine where man always comes up as a person who has capability to protects the woman which considered as the person who does not has capability. In studying mathematics,many students bothmen and women considermathematics as a boring subject. Based on this, the gender aspect in learning mathematics become educators concern. Gender differences not only result in differences in mathematical ability, but also a way of gaining knowledge of mathematics. Some of the notion that women are not quite managed to learn math than men. In addition, women almost never have a thorough interest in theoretical questions such as the male. Women are more interested in practical matters than the theoretical. But on the other hand, not a few female students who have success in math skills. Writing this article aims to analyze some of the results of research on gender differences in mathematics learning. The methodology used is a literature study. <![CDATA[This paper discusses the creation of woman in the Quran that can be identified by clear principles of the Quran about woman. In the Quran it is not found the verses in detail to tell the origins of woman's events. The only paragraph that suggests the origin of the woman's event is Surat an-Nisa (4:1) . The mufassirs still have different opinion, who exactly is meant by "a single self" (nafs al-wahidah) in that verse. There is a difficulty in understanding the story of the origins of human creation in the Quran as there is stepping or something missing link in these stories. The Quran does not explain in sequence from A to Z, but the jump from A to X and Z. What happens between A and X or Z is not explained. <![CDATA[This article discusses how is the woman image in mass media and what alternative can be done to make the woman image becomes good.Of analysis can be concluded that the mass media develops the image of woman through the streotype of woman. As a result, woman always becomes the source of media commercialisation and the news concerning woman tends to be discriminative. At the online media, woman is the active consumer in comparison with man so that woman can exposed her social activity. The gender mainstreaming and woman national commission’s program represents strategic resolving alternative to less the discrimination to woman in mass media. So that, to be its execution can be measured and succeed to reach the target, the activity shall be controlled by the independent institution and the government.]]>

<![CDATA[Menopausal problems related to physical and psychological aspects. Physical aspects, declining estrogen production leading to many reproductive disorders such as irregular menstruation (3-4 years before menopause), blooding to vasomotor disturbances that can affect the activities of women experiencing menopause. Psychological, menopausal women will experience emotional instability, along with concerns that might occur in the body with the end of her menstrual period. Emotional stability will be gained back once they get good information about the menopause. Positive self-concept as well as the support given by family and friends will be able to improve the quality of life for postmenopausal women. Consistency of self-concept will increase harmonization within the individual, which in turn will increase the happiness of individuals. Individual's quality of life will improve when there is an integration between self-esteem, self-concept, self-acceptance as well as the individuals of understanding and addressing the problems of life.]]>
