Abstract

Batu City is one of well known cities in East Java Province which is as center of tourism destination and also as center of apple production. There is growing small scale industry related to apple processed products, such as apple chips. In an effort to support the supply of raw materials and production planning, it is necessary to know the achievement of supply chain performance in a small industry of apples chips  in Batu City. The method used is qualitative analysis to know the system of raw material inventory control and production planning system applied and analyze the performance of supply chain management, supply chain mapping with SCOR (Supply Chain Operations Reference) method, measurement of supply chain performance by using measured performance attribute that is Supply Chain Reliability, Supply Chain Responsiveness and Supply Chain Agility with performance metrics of Perfect Order Fulfillment (POF), Order Fulfillment Cycle Time (OFCT), Upside Supply Chain Flexibility, Upside Supply Chain Adaptability and Downside Supply Chain Adaptability. The results of this study indicate that the system of raw material inventory control and production planning system have been applied. Supply chain mapping, performance measurement of supply chain management need to be developed more to improve supply chain management performance in the small industry apple chips in Batu City.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to describes the reasoning of continuous buying decision and to analyze consumer satisfaction of roses cultivators towards insecticides X. The method research are quantitative descriptive, Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA), and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI). Five process of buying decision such as needs recognition, information seeking, alternative evaluation, purchase decision, and post-purchase behavior also the three main indicators such as sociocultural environment, consumer psychology, and marketing efforts are used to describes the buying decision. Eight indicators of a product such as performance, features, conformity, durability, serviceability, aesthetics, and perceived quality are used to measure the consumers satisfaction. The samples of 33 roses cultivators are used. The result of buying decision describes that the influence indicators according to main indicators of buying decision are products association, information sources, shop selection, and future buying possibilities.The result of IPA method are 85,9 percent of consumers suitability level therefore needs to be improved. The result of CSI are 60,21 percent of satisfaction level and included in average satisfied category.

Abstract

Go Organic program already released since 2010 by Ministry of Agriculture to increase the implementation of organic farming in Indonesia. This research was aimed to analyze the strength, weakness, opportunity and threat and also to formulate developing strategy of organic rice in Semarang Regency. Survei method with structured questionnaires were used in this research, with farmers, consumers, distributors, cooperatives’ management and government employees (Ministry of Agriculture) as the respondents. Validity and reliability test were conducted to measure the questionnaires. Data were analyzed by SWOT analysis and IE matrics. Results showed that organic rice farming in Susukan District is located on Kuadran I with coordinates (0.61; 0.95). Internal result in IE matrics is 2.69 and external one is 2.52. It means that it’s on growth stability position (concentration through horizontal integration). The developing strategy that can be implemented are as followed: increasing the production of organic farming by optimizing existing resources; maintaining the quality of organic rice products and the brand image to the communities; expanding market networks by maintaining a good relationship and cooperation; improving the distribution channels; improving marketing promotion through the media; increasing farmers’ knowledge and skills by management training and financial management; strengthening the farmers’ capital by developing the cooperative; maintaining and empowering farmers’ groups.

Abstract

Production and productivity of organic rice tend to be lower than non-organic rice. Constraints in the production and productivity of organic rice in addition to the transition from conventional agriculture to organic farming, input use factors also have a great influence. The concept of technical efficiency is the right choice to see how much the minimum inputs that farmers can use to produce certain outputs. In addition there are also factors that can affect farmers related to the decision making in using inputnya. This study to analyze the factors that affect the technical efficiency of organic rice farming in Sumberngepoh Village. The research was conducted at Gapoktan "Sumber Mulyo" in Sumberngepoh Village, Lawang District, Malang Regency with 45 farmers sample. The data used in this study is the data of farming in the rainy season 2016-2017. Data analysis method used is by tobit regression analysis. The result of tobit regression analysis showed that the factors that had significant and positive effect on farmer's technical efficiency were field school participation, farmer group control, planting method, and season.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the populated countries which still has high population growth. It will influence the food supply. The more the number of population, the demand for food will increase. Other food problems occur because of the limited resources available and the lack of infrastructure for farming activities. This study has the objective to analyze what factors are associated with food security in Malang. The method research approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative research approach. Sources of information or informants in this study are the agricultural extension field, the main actors, and public figures. Results of research on factors associated with food security in Malang is a factor of production, post-harvest, marketing, innovation, the participation of farmers, and behavioral changes. Activities to empower farmers program implemented should involve the participation of key actors and activities undertaken farmers’ empowerment program should be based on the needs of the main actors.

Abstract

Tuna (skipjack) is one of the major exporting fishery commodities for Indonesia only second to shrimp and crab. Although tuna is exported in various forms, the canned tuna enjoys the highest export value. Indonesia contributes to 16% of the global tuna supply, and 70% of Indonesian tuna is exported. Indonesia is one of the most significant tuna producers in the world. This study investigated the growth in export of Indonesian canned skipjack. The Market Share Index (MSI) and The Constant Market Share (CMS) was used to measure the growth export of Indonesian canned skipjack. Based on results of Market Share Index show Indonesia took the second place in Japan market, better than its performance in the United States and United Kingdom market. The result from Constant Market Share showed that competitiveness, commodity composition and growth effect affected canned tuna export in the world market. But, Indonesia also had fluctuation performance but in generally tendency was stable.
